TS4185 FaceTime on my iPad stopped working, won't connect calls.

FaceTime on my iPad has been working fine for 2 years. Now, when we call or someone calls us, it says connecting…. and nothing happens. WiFi, camera, recent updates are all on and working. Messaging works fine. Just won't connect a call. Any suggestions?

Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. Some users have reported that Apple is aware of the issue. Sadly, we have to wait for Apple to provide some sort of update/fix. You can leave feedback for Apple at the link below.

    That's good. They might not send the ac adapter with it though (they quite often don't on replacements). Just make sure you use the correct adapter with whichever MicroCell they send you. The power ratings are listed in the Tech Guide (link in my sig). You never did say what kind of internet service you had or who it was with. We ask because the MicroCell does not work reliably with satellite or WiFi internet connections, which is stated in the instructions. It is designed for land-based internet only.

    I've had a microcell for about three weeks. This is my second one, I have another in another location for about 18 months so I'm familiar with them. (This one is a black one if it matters, the other is the white one.). The microcell worked fine for three weeks and today stopped working. Only the bottom two lights -- power and Ethernet -- are lit up. I followed the trouble shooting guide to unplug wait 10 seconds and repower and it didn't change. I deactivated and sought to deactivate but it is stalled on the first step -- trying to connect to AT&T. I have tried different ports in the router with no success; other devices run through the router just fine (wired and wireless). Won't activate. I have basically no cell coverage without this so am really in a bind. Any suggestions?

    Purchased AppleTV 3 days ago. Worked flawlessly. 2 hours ago, storm winds caused the power to blink in the other room (causing the Mac to shut off). The modem lights indicated it was powered up.
    Since then no amount of troubleshooting will restore proper function:
    I tried turning Home Sharing off and back on.
    I have restarted the unit, restarted itunes, restarted my Mac (the computer is functioning normally).
    I attempted to restore the AppleTV OS, but it won't connect to the internet.
    I reset AppleTV and re-entered my ID and network settings (I can't login to Apple Store and "Setting date and time" goes on to infinity).
    What else can be done about this?

    I shut down to do some maintenance on my Mac (air-dusted the interior), now AppleTV will not connect - I turned 'sharing' off and on, made sure iTunes wa running, turned my modem off and on. I resorted to resetting AppleTV, still am stuck at 'Setting date and time'. What does reset router refer to, my computer? I normally connect to network via Ethernet 2 on my Mac.

    Assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a soft-reset to see if that gets it to boot up ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    (A) Reset iPad
    Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

    (B) Reset all settings

    The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
    Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
    A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as  Jabber Name/ID.  (Google Run  Jabber server).
    Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another.  (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
    iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen  (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
    Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
    Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
    However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

    Recently, my FaceTime HD camera has stopped working. The green LED indicating that it's on will turn on for a second, then turn off. The camera is never activated, and it constantly repeats this cycle. I contacted Apple for help after I had tried repairing permissions, resetting the SMC, and reinstalling the OS as a last resort. I don't know what to do at this point. I'm running Mac OS X Mavericks, and the camera had no problems with the OS. The camera has just suddenly stopped working. Can anybody please help?

    FIX:  
    1. You need Time Machine
    2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
    3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
    4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
    5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
    6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.
