You need to contact your cellular carrier to activate SMS on their network. Apple does not do business in Iran, so Apple can not help you.

Why do you need a Sent folder? iOS's Messaging interface lays each conversation out like a chat or IM. Personally, I find that much more convenient.

You can't activate it without a SIM. If it's carrier locked, the SIM must be from the correct carrier.

There is no supported way of downgrading to previous iOS versions. However you may Gogole alternative ways of doing it but know that you are on your own and if something goes wrong in the downgrade process your warranty may be voided and Apple will not offer any support for it.
We cannot discuss how to downgrade here due to the Terms of service of these forums, but google should offer lots of hits for it currently.

I also tried to use software https://github.com/coolstar/RecordMyScreen to record, but it shows blackscreen because after doing research, it seems apple banned screen recording software from third party or something. I would like some help to find out how to ressurect the message history for messages that I have received on my phone and never backed up anywhere. Apple does not sell parts. You may be able to find something out there, but what you will get is either something stripped from a damaged phone, a knockoff, or marginal parts that failed factory inspection and are now being illegaly sold.

Is this a used phone?
If it is a used phone, and the previous owner has locked it, only he can unlock it. He must give you his Apple ID and password, or remove it from his list of devices:

If you cannot contact him and get him to do this, you will be unable to use the phone. It will be permanently locked. Apple cannot unlock it for you.

Ok so what is the go cannot send any text or iMessage it's always stuck on 'waiting for activation' and always fails after half an hour or do anyway ?

Ive just bought a used iphone4. it arrived having been cleared and reset.
I connected to itunes and upgraded to the new software. Then it worked for half a day. Then a message came up saying i need ot restore the phone.
So i plugged it in again and at the end of the uprgrade sequence it comes up with-
'Problem with the iphone - may be damaged and cannot be activated for service' - please visit apple store.
Its obviously out of warranty and the apple store is a long way away. Ive only had it a day and im assured its never been jailbroken, dropped or water damaged.
I know loads of people have had this message come up and people have recommened going to the apple store. But before i make the long trek i just wanted to know if anyone ever came up with a solution to fix this and use the phone again.
Any help much appreciated. back on sh+tty blackberry!!

Could someone quickly explain how jailbraking an iphone could cause it problems? I want to email the person I bought this from and tell them why I think they have damaged it by jailbraking it.
