TS4268 FaceTime will not accept the email address associated with my AppleID

This is in my Mac. For some reason, FaceTime does not seem to be on my iPhone 4S, but that's another issue. On my Mac, which is running 10.8.1, it lets me log in with my Apple ID, but then it asks for an email address, and when I put in the @mac.com address I use every day and is associated with my Apple ID, I get a window saying, "FaceTime Activation Could not verify the email address. Please re-enter and try again."
On the forum page for FaceTime, there is a drop-down saying, "You must choose a community" but all the choices are iOS related, so I picked one..

May be helpful for others also experiencing this problem...
I had the same problem with FaceTime and Game Center, but fixed it by going to
http://appleid.apple.com and verifying my email address.
Not sure why, as I've been using the same AppleID for years and never had a problem until now.
Select the option to have them resend the verificatin email and, once verified, everything should work from there!

There is nothing in the registration screen which should prevent you from entering any valid email ID unless and untill you are mentioning the same ID in both the "E-mail" and "Confirm E-mail" field. Could you please confirm that?

I see your paid subscription associated with the same Adobe ID you were able to post on these forums with.
You may want to double-check to make sure there are no typos in either the username or password as you entered it.
Could you also let us know if you're getting an error message and how are you trying to access the service?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. If you're running iOS 6, to change your iCloud ID go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

i have forgotton the email address associated with my printer so cant login into my account and change the printers email address. when i hit forgotton password all the email addresses i try it wont recognise. i know my printer email address and my intial eprint code, can anyone help

Hi funkybeetroot,
Since there is no option to request "Forgot Username" on the ePrint login page, I would recommend to:
1. Remove Web Services from your printer
(On most printers, you can use the Remove Web Services option to disable all Web Services. This will remove the printer from your ePrintCenter account, delete all print apps settings and configuration data, and also delete your printer's ePrint email address/account and configuration/setup data.)
2. Create a new ePrint account using an email of your choosing.
3. Re-enable Web Services and setup ePrint on your printer by following the instructions HERE.
