when ipad was set up wrong phone number was entered for imessages and facetime. How do you edit or delete it and enter correct phone number?

I believe this would work except the phone number associated with ipad is not correct. If I follow these steps, the wrong phone number would be setup once again since the iphone's number used at the initial setup of the ipad is not the correct number.
Two different iphones:
Setup now: iphone B with ipad A
Need:iphone A with ipad A
Does this make sense?

Do you mean your friends' phone number?
If your friends have iPhones then all you need to do is use their phone number in Contacts for iMessage.

Troubleshooting telephone-number activation (iPhone only)
After each step, toggle FaceTime and iMessage off and then on in Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Ensure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: If Set Automatically is on but the incorrect time zone is displayed, turn Set Automatically off and then choose the correct time zone, date, and time. Then turn Set Automatically on again.
Ensure that FaceTime has not been restricted: Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime.
Verify that you can send SMS messages. You need a valid SMS messaging plan to activate FaceTime.
Contact your carrier to verify that there are no restrictions or blocks on text messages. Blocks on text messaging will prevent iMessage and FaceTime registration.
If you are unable to activate iMessage or FaceTime on a device after remote wiping it, wait at least 24 hours and try again.
If "Waiting for Activation" is displayed, leave FaceTime and iMessage enabled for 24 hours. Toggling FaceTime or iMessage off and on will cause the registration process to start over.

I helped him create a new email address and new iCloud account on my Mac but when we try to register the phone with Apple it says: Maximim accounts limit reached for this device. How can he register the phone? I read different threads and found out that only Apple care can do that. We're in Romania and don't know where to call. Any suggestions on how we fix this?

When I checked the support site for Romania, you apparently don't have an Apple Care contact center. You "may" try calling the US Apple care number to verify the account and have the password reset sent to a different email address. 800-694-7466

How to change a phone number that was set-up when you first set Ipad up. Took wife's number instead of mine. Her number is on i-cloud and messaging, face time.

Goto -settings-iCloud-delete account u will then have to set up a new iCloud account.if u do this it will delete anything u may have backed up in iCloud on your old account.

I just want to add another telephone number to an existing contact. I don't want to Add detail, Edit label, etc., just to add another telephone number! Simple.
Apparently the solution is this:
On main screen write any number 0123456789 >> Press >> Option >> Save to Contacts >> Update Existing (Scroll or name your last saved contact or where you wanted to add new number) then save!
It is an amazingly anti intuitive and convoluted solution but I'm afraid that the entire UI of S60 3rd addition is one big UI mess!

This will not block any calls. It will only turn off caller id ,therefore not showing your caller id to those you call.
Only the wireless provider can block calls.

I used imessage from my mac and ipad from time to time but about a year ago I had logged into my itunes account on a friends iphone to help them transfer some info to their new phone. In the process of that, it registered their phone number to my imessage account. I found this out recently when i checked an imessage conversation and had seen a message i did not send. I have gone on to the website and checked under "manage devices" but only my ipad shows up. Is there a way to deactive the phone number associate to my imessage account?

Based on your description, you may want to see if your friend's phone number is showing up as linked to your Apple ID, as outlined in the following article:
iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage - Apple Support
If so, there is an Unlink a phone number section under the Learn more header in that article.

Messges+: How to register secondary phone's number?

I have two smartphones on my verizonwireless account. I want to register the secondary phone's number for Messages+. However, I find when I try to set up Messages+, the primary phone number is there by default, and I don't see how to change it. How can I register the secondary number?

Yes, the secondary line is registered in My Verizon. However, I do not sign in to My Verizon with the secondary number. I sign in with my verizon wireless user id, and all my numbers show up there. However, when I try to use the web app, the only option I have is to use the primary number (which is also the "account owner" number in my profile).
Note that I am able to download the desktop app and get my text messages from there for my secondary number. However, the problem I am having only occurs when I try to use the web app. I need that, so I can use Messages+ on PCs that do not have the desktop app installed.
Note, too, that I do not "download" the web app. I download the desktop app. For the web app, I just click a button that says "Go to web app." That button is on this web page. When I click that button, a window comes up that allows texting, but only through the main wireless number. I need to know how to get that to work for my secondary wireless number.
