TS4268 I am getting IMessages to my ipad but not my iPhone 5

I am able to send iMessages from my iPhone and iPad and they both sync, however when I get a reply they are just going to my iPad but some do also go to my iPhone 5 too but not all. I have turned iMessage off and back on again on both devices. Any other advice?

Hi I've checked that, I have 2 addresses under send&receive one is my telephone number and the other is my apple id they both match. I have spoke with apple care who advised me to log out of apple ID in iMessage settings and back in on both devices and now I am getting some messages back to iPhone and some to iPad. It's very frustrating.
Any other tips to should I make an appointment at local apple store for technical help :-//

  • I get emails on my ipad but not my iPhone why?

My ISP helped me to get emails on my ipad by setting up an imap account on Outlook Express on my PC but since then I don't get them on my iPhone?  I've checked settings and they are the same on both products, so what's gone wrong?

It sounds like the settings for the email account on your iPhone do not have the email setup as IMAP.
    Check this out.

  • I'm receiving iMessages on my ipad but not my iPhone 4S.

I've had my iPhone and iPad for well over a year now and never any problems. All of a sudden I've stopped receiving iMessages on my iPhone but I am receiving them on my ipad - slightly annoying as I don't tend to carry my iPad around!
    Has anyone got any ideas?

Go to settings and message and see what is showing in there.
If it all looks OK then click on send & receive then the Apple ID and sign out. Then sign in again with your Apple ID and password and see if this solves it.
If it says waiting for activation or anything else, go to settings > phone and make sure the telephone number in there is correct.

Levi G B ... Also found another thread by Davidfromsurfside on 10/14/11 0703A with the same problem. I responded on his thread "I have the same problem. IOS5 on iPad1, iPad2 and iPhone4S all with iCloud on. Lion 10.7.2 installed on my MacBookPro and iCloud set up/on. Any new iCal entry on either iPad or on the iPhone ends up via iCloud on both iPads and iPhone. BUT NOT ON THE MacBookPro. And iCal entry on the MacBookPro does NOT GET SENT to iCloud.com or to either iPad or the iPhone. This is a huge problem for me because I do all my office scheduling on the iPad or iPhone but rely on the MakeBookPro to print out daily client lists. I REALLY need to get this fixed...it is causing major business issues. " No one so far has had a fix....  :(

  • I receive messages (via Message) on my iPad, but NOT my iPhone. What's happening?

    Hi all,
I seem to be able to receive Messages on my iPad, but not my iPhone. My iPad doesn't have cellular service, so I'm assuming that I won't be able to get non-Mac-based messages on it...
    Using Verizon.
I have an iPhone 5, it's up-to-date. Is there something in Settings I need to change?
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Eri

I've removed icons from Multitask bar, both devices are completely powered down and off.
Please tell me why this would help? My iPad was at home, my iPhone with me when I messaged my husband. Receiving no response, I tried again and again and got no answer from him.
I come home and find that his responses are all on the iPad.
But I've never had that problem before!
I have to wait until my spouse sends me a message and see...
    Thanks,
    Eri
ETA: PS I'm not sure about my iCloud settings.

You can stop new photos being automatically added to Photostream in iPhoto from iPhoto preferences > Photostream.

  • Getting **** emails on my ipad but not on my iphone or desktop

I'm getting tons of **** emails when I open my Yahoo account on my iPad, but not on my iphone or desktop. I'm afraid to open them to 'unsubscribe' to try to stop them. How can I make them stop?

It's any iOS device that supports automatic uploading to a iCloud. Hopefully Apple can introduce this feature to iWork on OS X, either by future updates to its operating system or its iWork applications.

  • Album split on iPad but not on iPhone or in iTunes

I use iTunes Match, and a few albums are split into multiple albums on my iPad, but not in iTunes or on my iPhone. Why would this be different on my iPad when I'm using Match on all of my devices?
I've tried making changes to the album in iTunes on my computer using Get Info, but since it's already one album there it doesn't seem to make a difference.
I'm using Mavericks on my computer and iOS 7 on both the iPad and iPhone.

If the tracks have already been downloaded to the iOS device any changes to ID3 tags won't be visible until you delete the tracks from the device. So give that a try. Also see this web page for more helpful information about ID3 tags: http://samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/grouping.asp

  • HT4847 I have a lot of room to store photos on my ipad which I use as my computer.  How can I keep saving photos on my ipad but not my iphone?

I would like to store my photos on my ipad, not my iphone.  I have 64 GB on my ipad, and do not have a computer.  My icloud is full, so I would like to only save photos/videos on my ipad, and not my iphone.  Is this possible?  Or do I have to save them to a computer?

Did you enable photo stream? if so, that service will sync the photos across your devices. But you can turn it off. If it's on, try going into the iPad settings, iCloud control panel and turn off photo syncing and then see if the photos remain on your iPad only.

  • Can sync notes to iPad but not to iPhone with mobile me

I can sync Notes with my Mobile Me account to my iPad but not to my iPhone. What am I doing wrong?

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4231
Notes syncing via IMAP is available for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation). If you have an older device, refer to the device user guide for information about cable syncing as an alternate way to sync Notes.
