TS4268 IMESSAGE NOT CONVERTING TO SMS
I phone says imessage sent. non iphone user has not recieved message. imessage not converting to sms. turned imessage off, reset netwrk setting, turned on imessage, still not working.

You can adjust this behavior on your iPhone at Settings > Messages > Send As SMS.

IMessages not converting to SMS messages when recipient not in wi-fi area / out of credit
I have an iPhone 5s (iOS 8.1.3) and my daughter and iPhone 4. She often texts me without problem. BUT if I try and reply and she is not in a Wi-Fi area or has run out of credit, the message (in blue) says that it has been delivered but she doesn't receive it. The only way I can send a message to my daughter is to switch off iMessage and try again and send it as a SMS message - which is surely not how it's meant to be? Other friends that are also iPhone users who are unaware of this problem so she doesn't get all her messages until back in a wi-fi area - which as a teenager is really annoying!
I do have the settings "Send as SMS" switched to on - so in theory my daughter should get a SMS as a minimum?
I have reset my phone and the network data but nothing has changed. My daughter is quite fed up on missing out on her messages.
Any ideas?Solution found. It was simply that the Cellular data was switched off on my daughters phone.

TS4268 iMessage not logging me in
Hi all
I just updated to iOS 7 and when I did it logged me out of iMessage on my iPad
I tried to log back in but it it just said verifying then went back to the log in screen
Tried to log in on three different internet spots
Nothing I seem to do works
Help would be great

TS4268 iMessaging NOT working. Please help
Updated my 4s and now I can't get my iMessaging or FaceTime to work. I keep getting an error reading, "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." My connection is fine... I think. I don't seem to have trouble connecting to the internet or other internet based apps. Suggestions???
Try resetting it:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Next try restoring via itunes. -

since imessage was down yesterday, It i snow activated but still can't send messages as imessage keeps sending as text message, although the settings are correct. Is this another problemmmmmmm???

TS4268 iMessage not working abroad
I have been studying in Spain for four weeks, and have been using iMessage over WiFi. It was working fine since I got here. However, my iMessage unexpectedly stopped working last night. It now displays the "Waiting for Activation" message. I do not have a cellular connection; is there any way I can reactivate my iMessages? It's not the end of the world, but it is a big inconvenience.
I'm not certain this is your issue, but I read somewhere once that if your phone doesn't check in with the cellular carrier in about a month the iMessage will deactivate itself. iMessage must assume the phone line is no longer active and releases it from iMessage.
You can log in using your Apple ID, no? It just won't work with your cell # until you reactivate it. -

After being activated, iMessage can be exchanged when connected to the internet via an available wi-fi connection but you won't be able to exchange iMessage via your carrier's cellular data or internet network with no data access. -

My iMessage is not working on both my iPad and iPod. I have done everything the apple website has said to do and I don't have the options suggested. They just simply will not send. Can someone please help me fix it?
My iPad is updated to IOS 7.0.2 and my iPod is IOS 6.1.2.Yes, I've tried everything, logged in and out of everything, re-synced the ipad....settings ar ethe same on both devices but the ipad does not message and the phone does.

My iMessaging stopped working on Nov 10 but only to one specific number so I turned it off then on the 17 th I turned it back on still iMessage works for every other person except this one number!

On the Air, if you use the Apple Menu > About this Mac and then Click twice on the line that shows you the current OS version do you see the Serial Number ?

Group Message only sends iMessages not SMS
Hello all. I just recently moved to Android but my spouse is still on an iPhone. For some reason, when she group messages it is only sending responses to those with imessage on their phone. However if she sends me a non group message (only me) it recognizes it as a SMS, turns green and sends the text perfectly. However it will not recognize that I do not have imessage when sending a group text.
She has iMessage, Send as SMS, MMS Messaging and Group Messaging all turned all, but no luck.
The other people with iphones in the group, can send the group texts and their iphones are converting my text to SMS. Its just my wifes phone not sending me SMS when I am in a group, only sending me a SMS when direct to me only..
The phone is updated to the latest software, and I even rebooted her phone with no luck..
Anyone have any idea what is happening?
Arghh...........You can only send imessage to other iphone user running IOS 5.0 or higher.

if I'm overseas, and I use iMessage not connected to wifi, and I'm messaging someone who has an iPhone as well with ios 7, will get charged SMS/mms fees?
No, but cellular data will be used at whatever international roaming rate you carrier charges for data in whatever country.
Exchanging iMessages requires the same thing as email - an available internet connection. SMS/MMS is completely separate from iMessage. -

Yes I have turned imessage off a number of times and that does not seem to he doing the trick, and it is not delivering them then I have to press on the photo and either chose try again or send as text message, I have had the setting on to not allow sending pictures as texts (so they can only send as imessage) since I got my phone in January and it has always worked until now, I have turned that off to allow me to send them as picture messages now but it's still not working over iMessage, I have also tried it using 3G and not wifi

Same apple ID--always worked to send messages within the family to different phone numberts when we both had iPhone 4. I put send as SMS when iMessage not available and it didn't work either. The settings all seem right as far as sending/recieving from each device and texting works to other numbers from the iphone 5s but not from the 5 to the 4---but the 4 CAN send messages to the 5S. I cannot send iMessages from my Macs to the 5S.
Help!Let's get this data under control. Are you using WiFi? Have you considered using our Family Base feature. How much data has your phone used?
