• TS4036 could not sign in server error when trying to restore iphone from icloud

I am trying to restore my iPhone from an iCloud backup. I deleted everything on the phone per restore instructions. Connected to wireless on iPhone. Logged on to my iCloud account. Told the iPhone to restore from iCloud backup. I keep getting ""could not sign in" server error OK. I get this messge over and over.

I actually noticed when I had this problem just now that my iPhone 4 wasn't on wif. Only connected to 3G even though I entered my network info and clicked connect. So I backed up a few steps and re selected to connect to wifi and it fixed my issue!

• Trying to sign using Apple ID and get could not sign in server error

I just got a new iPod touch and am trying to sign into the app store. I have created an Apple ID and got a confirmation that it it works but when I try to sign on I get the following message:
Could not Sign In
Server Error
What would be causing this?
Steve

- Try resetting the iPod. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Can you sign in on your computer?
- Could be a temporary Apple problem.

you cannot sign in server error seem to have tried all that has been shown where to now thomasg

RC,
This behavior is stemming from a change in MP 7.0 MR2 to disable the MPWeb login for system profiles. This was an internal change made by the developers to restrict the log on to the MPWeb page by the default accounts created in MeetingPlace upon installation. The change now displays this error when the admin account is attempted to be used for MPWeb login, as you experienced-
Error:[22953] You cannot sign in to the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Server interface using preconfigured system profiles.
You should be able to log into MPWeb using any other user profile that you have either created manually or pulled in from LDAP/Active Directory. You just cannot use the admin account. This is reserved for login to the MP Application Server Administration page only. I am going to work to get this information added to the MP 7.0 documentation with a note for changed behavior in MR2 and above. Here is the note from MP 8.0 documentation-
Note: You cannot use this preconfigured admin profile to access the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Web Server interface. Instead enter the User ID and password information from one of the other user profiles that have system administrator privileges to sign in to the Web Server.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank You,
Gerry

• Solution to iCloud control panel 4 sign-in server error under windows 8.1x64

Potential solution for icloud 3.1 and 4.0 installation and iTune store sign-in, all showing errors or sign-in errors due to server error.
My setup is Iphone 4S upgraded to ios8, ipad Air still on 7.1.2, windows PC on Win8.1x64 and with icloud 3.1 working fine till I tried to
upgrade/install/re-install 4.0 icloud control panel after upgrade to ios8. See end of message for other alternatives I had tried.
This worked for me.
There seem to be some programmes that is conflicting with Apple's, so download this free program autoruns suggested by Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
Run the program and choose the the "Winsock Providers", any other programme that shows up here except Bonjour (which is used by Apple) may be conflicting with the sign-in.
Uninstall those potentially conflicting programs
Inside autoruns->Winsock Provider, right click on the conflicting programs and choose delete. This would stop the conflicting program to start up
again. Reboot the computer
Install icloud control panel, sign in
If works, reinstall those conflicting programs again and all back to normal, with iCloud control panel working
If doesn't work, my mojo not strong enough and you need to google for more help.
Other activities I googled, tried and failed
a) Adding Apple icloud program and services into the windows firewall
b) Uninstall version 4.0, re-install 3.1 (about 10 times)
c) create a new Apple ID to sign in
d) Sign out of icloud from my devices (iphone and ipad)
e) switch to Android devices

You need to edit the MSI installer and change the Launch Condition to allow iCloud Control Panel 3.1 to be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2.
First, download Orca, an MSI editor. You can get it from the Windows SDK. (Download and only check the box for "Development Tools" under Native components during installation, then go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\Bin and install Orca.msi)
Launch Orca and then find the iCloud(64).msi to edit.
If using Apple Software Update, browse to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update and open iCloud(64).msi in Orca.
Or download iCloudSetup.exe and use a zip program (7-zip) to extract the MSI from the exe and open it in Orca.
In Orca, select the LaunchCondition table and look for the condition "(VersionNT >= 601) AND (MsiNTProductType = 1)". Change the number 1 to a number 3 so the condition should read "(VersionNT >= 601) AND (MsiNTProductType = 3)". Save and exit Orca.
Then double click on the msi and it should install successfully now.

• Can't sign n, server error, how do I sign in?

I can't sign n. it keeps saying server error.
Other times it says can't communicate with the server
Help!!!
If I skip the step, then try downloading from AppStore, it comes back, This Apple ID has not yet been used in the iTunes Store. Click OK, it asks to Review, reads T & Cs again, then it quits. Repeat ad infinitum
I have done a factory reset on the IPad, still can't communicate with the server when I try signing in.
I can sign in online and update settings, no effect.

Leerender are you able to sign in successfully at http://www.adobe.com/?

• Cant add contacts server error

sign into icloud and cannot add contacts it says server error

Has been like this since launch. After months of beta.
I cannot do without a reliable - and synced - address book.
Android, here I come!
(and it seems that I cannot be sure what version of the contacts is on either my iPad or the web version... sometimes a telephone number shows only on one of them... even worse)

• I get a "Server error" when initializing my iphone

iPhone 4S stoeln, trying to set up old 3GS. When going through the initialization sequence after doing a hard reset, at the prompt for my iclouduserid and password, the result is "Could Not Sign In: Server Error"
The same id/password works on icould.com. Would this result from the phone not being backed up on icloud, but only iTunes? This is my wife's phone and she doesn't know squat about how it is set up.
Thanks!

If you uploaded to MobileMe, it's no longer available. Apple's closed MobileMe and stopped offering web hosting.

• I cannot sign in to iCloud, everytime i try it says,'You cant sign in because of a server error'. My brother however can. any ideas?

I cant figure it out, it says the server isnt working yet my bro can sign in no problem, could it be something to do with my computer? This is happening on my PC by the way, i am signed on my iPhone

I have used the solution below to fix mine and others that have run into this issue.
Start --> Programs --> Accessories (Right Click on Command Prompt) --> Run as Administrator
then type in: "Netsh winsock reset" (-without the quotes-)
Hit enter, restart PC, iCloud For PC should now connect without any server errors
(This solutions will work in some instances when trying to fix errors associated when you are unable to connect to iTunes also.)
