TS4425 "Photo Stream Unavailable. The iCloud Terms of Service have changed."

There is a resolution article for this however it does not work if you are using a mac with OS10.6.8 and portable devices using iOS5.1.1.  Why is it that I could use Photo Stream before the Apple TV update to 5.1 and afterwards the feature is removed until I upgrade to Mountain Lion or iOS6?  It's not fair.

If your problem is the similar to mine you can visit any OSX 10.8 mac in an Apple Store and accept iClouds new terms and conditions with the Apple ID / password you use on your Apple TV. Photo Stream will then work on your Apple TV at home. It's an easy and free workaround solution.
Problem:
I could not accept the terms and conditions on my Mac with OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) or my iOS5.1.1 devices or my Apple TV Software version 5.1 in order to use Photo Stream on my Apple TV.
Solution:
Visit an Apple Store and find a Mac with OS X v10.8.2:
Choose Apple () > System Preferences.
Choose View > iCloud.
sign in to iCloud with the Apple ID that you use on your Apple TV
After a moment, the latest iCloud Terms & Conditions should load.
Read the iCloud Terms & Conditions, then select the checkbox for "I have read and agree to the iCloud Terms of Service".
Click Continue.
When complete, you should be able to access Photo Stream and related services on your Apple TV.
The workaround solution above is a modified copy/paste of the support Article:http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4425
Background:
Apple support UK gave me this insight that I don't need to use my own computer to accept the new terms of service.  I asked this savy support rep if she would like to add a note about the solution here on the community to ease peoples pain but she suggested that I do it myself.  This is a workaround straight from Apple to me to you. I suppose it will never be official. Note, the computer I used had a guest profile active which allowed me to log out then log in again afterwards to be sure my Apple ID and password would not be compromised.
Good luck with this solution if you want to try it out.

  • "The iCloud Terms of Service have changed" issues

I have problems with the iCloud "The iCloud Terms of Service have changed" message on all my devices.
On my iPhone I can accept the terms of service just fine. But the next time I go to the iCloud settings it again tells me that "The iCloud Terms of Service have changed"!
On my iPad I cannot accept them, I get the "Unable to connect to server." error.
On my iPad Mini I also had the "Unable to connect to server." error but was able to resolve it by doing a restore from iCloud. However this does not work for my iPad.
Is there some way to accept the terms online? When I go to iCloud.com it unfortunately doesn't let me accept the terms there.

Thanks, unfortunately this didn't work for me as find my friends had been previously installed.
What did help: Go to iCloud Settings, deactivate all options (Mail, contacts, find my phone, etc) and -that's important- choose to delete all data. It will be restored when you reactivate anyhow, at least that's what happened for me. Then go into Account at the very top and reenter your password (you are not asked to do so but this is what helped).
Now all my stuff like calender syncs again smoothly.

I want to photo stream pix from my iMac to apple tv. When I try to enter the iCloud account name and password, the systems tells me that terms of service have changed and won't let me proceed. What's that about?

You need to reset the password for the "old" account, and then use that to turn off iCloud.  Then you will be able to sign in with your new ID.
You can reset your password at iForgot.apple.com.
If you don't know the answers to the security questions, you will need to start there.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
-If you established a rescue email address, there will be a link on the "Passwords & Security" page of id.apple.com.  Clicking the link will send the reset to your rescue email address (NOTE:  This is not the same address as your Apple ID email)
-If there is no link on the page, then you didn't establish a rescue email address.  Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466 (If you are in the US), and ask for account security.  You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.
-If you are not in the US, click http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 - Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security

  • HT4847 If I back up my ipad photo stream to the iCloud, can I clear all the photos from my device storage? How.

If I back up my photo stream to the Icloud, can I delete the photos from my device? How?

No.  iCloud doesn't back up photo stream photos; it streams them to your other devices.  If you delete a photo stream photo from your phone it will be deleted from iCloud and all other devices/computers sharing your photo stream.
You can't really use iCloud to store your photos so you can free up space on your phone.  If you want to free up space, you'll need to import your camera roll photos to your computer and delete them from your phone as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  If you have photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll, save them to your camera roll so they can be imported too.

  • It keeps asking me to read and accept the ICloud terms of service.  How can I stop it?

An update called IOS 8.0.1 appeared and I downloaded it, thinking it was an update to the operating system.   Now it keeps asking me to read and accept the ICloud terms of service.  I don't want ICloud.  How do I get rid of this repeated questions?

Go back to the Settings app and check for an update. There were problems with the iOS 8.0.1 update and it has been replaced with iOS 8.0.2. Update your iPad to iOS 8.0.2.

  • Trying to open Photostream via Apple TV - it says Terms of Service have changed - but I go to /support/icloud and can no place to agree to new terms of service

I'm trying to open Photostream on AppleTV; the screen says Terms of Service have changed and go to /support/icloud.  I go there but can find no place to see the new terms of service and/or agree to them.

Go to You Tube and Watch How to Tech Video (h2tech) and there is a video that says "How to Connect Your Photostream.
I am getting that same comment about the terms of service have changed blah blah blah.
The second option you see that says use different account.  Try your icloud/photostream user id and password - should be the same as your main one.  At least mine is.
Anyway, try checking out the UTube videos...  Hope this helps.  I know how FRUSTRATING this stuff can be.  : )

upload to photo stream icon. I have downloaded the contol panel several times and cannot find the icon to get this done.  HELP

If you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).

  • How can I save my photos from my camera roll, my photo stream on the icloud so that I don't lose my photos if I upgrade phone or just because I need space and I don't want to delete or lose pictures.

Can I save my camera roll pics, my photo stream pics from my iphone 5 into icloud so I don't lose pics if I upgrade phone or because I need space

    No.
iCloud isn't a file storage service.
You can backup your camera roll but you can only restore the entire roll to the device.
Backup your photos to your computer.

  • Am I correct, if I presume that Photo stream IS the iCloud storage device for photos?

Is Photo-stream the iCloud storage device for photos?

Photo Stream is a photo sync service between your computers and devices. That's not designed as a storage service, because photos uploaded to Photo Stream are deleted 30 days after adding them to it.
