Stop taking pictures with an iPad, it simply makes the user look like a fool.
Seriously though, basic troubleshooting is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).

Thank you for your response. I did try the reset previously but it was ineffective for my particular issues. It does seem like time heals some of the problems but when shopping in-app time sensitive purchases (like Today Only deals) I get the freeze. I will try your suggestion with the Sleep & Hold buttons as soon as the problem arises again. Many thanks. Mary

2. For about 10 seconds

You need the owner of the account to remove the iPhone from their Apple ID, there is no way around this sorry.

.I have gone to Settings and rotation lock, does not change it and also to Control Panel with the same result?Do you have a toggle switch on the side of your ipad, next to the volume? If so, try that.......it took awhile for me to find that answer by googling.......hope it works for you.

am trying to set my background setting to change when ever I log in, I clicked on both 'change picture' and 'random order' boxes as my settings, but when ever I log in it has the same background as before. Does any body know how to fix this?
You have to enter the Apple ID and password. You are running into the Activation Lock

I have an ipad mini that keeps shutting down ever since I upgraded to ios 7.1.2.
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

Apple upgraded me to a new IOS that has now eliminated my ability to synch Pages docs which I've been using quite successfully. So now every time work in pages it tells me that my documents won't synch and to "upgrade to OSX Yosemite." The problem: Yosemite IS NOT AVAILABLE yet. Will they let me go back to the old way until Yosemite is available? No they will not. I'm stuck with devices that won't work together. I recall no warning that by upgrading to IOS8 would mess up my ability to use my devices as intended -- that my devices would be less compatible. I feel duped and manipulated. And to clarify, I only updated on my phone. Once I saw (subsequent to update) that my synching of docs would no longer work, I decided not to upgrade my iPad mini. But guess what -- just updating my iPhone has now changed me to iCloud Drive and that means that all of my devices are incompatible.
That happened to me. I rebooted and now my docs are back again.
