The page load progress bar that was on the lower right of the window is no longer there. After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac there is no progress bar for the page load. I really miss this feature and can't seem to find a way to obtain it. The tab has a circular progress wheel but this is useless for determining a stuck or slow loading page.

You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.<br />
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default <b>about:home</b> Home page.<br />
Another possibility is to use:

I currently have iPhoto 8.1.2 on my macbook pro and am trying to update to the latest version. I have had to work backward, but I can only get back to 9.1, which will not install because it says I need at least 9.0 to install it. Is 9.0 available? Will I need to go back even further? Thanks
Upgrading from iPhoto 8 to iPhoto 9 requires a purchase. There are two ways to get to iPhoto 9:
1 - purchase a copy of the iLife 11 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com or eBay.com.
2 - if your MBP meets the requirements upgrade you system for free to Mavericks. Then you can purchase the latest iPhoto version, 9.5.1, from the App Store.

after update to the latest version on my ipad, it no longer connects to the internet nor can i send emails. when plugged in to sync with itunes, it remains 'stuck' at syncing step 2 of 7 backing up. has anyone had similar problems? any solutions?
I had this problem. I held down the power switch to power down completely. Takes a few seconds. Then use the power switch to turn on. Might take a couple goes.

My Ipod touch plays music but every time I open an app that I have downloaded it closes immediately. This started happening after updating to the latest version of Ipod software.
Here's a couple things to try:
1. Reset the iPod by holding the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
2. Uninstall and reinstall one of your purchased apps. Sometimes this can rectify the issue.
3. Connect the iPod to iTunes and restore it. New system software usually resolves the issue. Make sure you sync before restoring because a restore removes the data from your iPod.

I am trying to download a new ringtone and it says I need to update to the latest version of iOS before I can download a song. How do I do that?
First, update iTunes on your computer to the latest version. Then connect your iPhone to the same computer. On the Summary page for the iPhone that opens in iTunes, click on Check For Update (or install the update, if iTunes already says you have an upgrade.

after update to the latest version, the tinny pic in front the bookmarks disappeared. I think it is called the identity info...
when I go to the website, they will appear on the tap, but when I go through my bookmarks, they are not there, usually they are remembered after the first visit.

There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix.

Not a problem, Safe Mode will disable addons and hardware acceleration. If this continues and it is not an add on this will be the next step to try to disable acceleration:
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
#Open Firefox ''Options'' window (''Preferences'' on Mac or Linux) as follows:
#* In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and select ''Options'' for Windows or ''Preferences'' on Mac or Linux.
#* In Firefox 28.0 and previous versions, click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
#In the Firefox Options (or Preferences) window, click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select ''General''.

Firefox continues to become increasingly difficult to use, and appears to be less stable. I fell that I am being forced to migrate to Google Chrome. What is going on?

(philipp)</sub>No. After I select "Choose" the dialog box expands to provide only three choices. This is a new bug. I have only seen it in the past week or so, but it is maddening. I have observed that, while the Mozilla Foundation focuses on trivialities like which search engine should be the default, the Firefox application becomes buggier and buggier. Most of my family has switched to Chrome, and I will be following shortly. Firefox used to be a great program. Not any more. Getting assistance with a problem has also become very difficult.

I have exactly the same problem and my Zone Alarm Security software is causing the problem when I try to open Firefox, however this did not happen in any previous versions of Firefox I have had, including version 6.0.0
I would also greatly appreciate help on this one, or at least hope Mozilla will sort this out in another update.
