TS5249 I downloaded Alchemy/Free Player but I am getting a Warning that this type of file can harm my computer, is this a safe file ? I is from The Camel Audio Website.
Is Alchemy by Camel Audio safe to download ?
Is Alchemy by Camel Audio safe to download ?
Are you asking about this panel or a similar warning?
You will see this kind of warning for every program that you install and that is not signed by an Apple approved Deveveloper certificate.
I have no experience with that particular audio Unit, but the documentation on the camel site does not mention the compatibility with the newer Mac OS X versions. So be sure to make a full backup of your system before installing the plug-in. Incompatible VST plug-ins can destabilize the system.

I just downloaded Adobe Flash Player, but I still get the message "Adobe Flash Player out of date" and I cannot play videos. I use Mac OS X Yosemite on a MacBook Pro. How can I fix this?
1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
Press the "Delete All" button.
Install Adobe Flash Player.
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Download it first.
The next step is important.
Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.
Follow the prompts and install it.
Restart computer. Relaunch Safari. -
when I try to download a free or purchased APP I get a box that says userID is disabled and a push button with "OK". I can't download any apps
Depending on why it's been disabled, you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it -

I recently purchased adobe indesign I'm trying to download it but i'm getting a message that's saying “Install.app” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.
System Preferences / Security & Privacy / General tab.
Change the settings at the bottom half of the window. -

I have tried to download Firefox...3.6.12.exe
I keep getting a message, on the bottom of the screen,

Can you advise please, as I haven't had an problems with Firefox in the past.Does it still let you download the file? If it does, and you are trying to download the file from http://www.mozilla.com/ ignore the message and download the file.

When I start to download Firefox, I get a message that says "This type of file can harm your computer. Do yiu want to keep Firefox...p7.0.1.exe anyway? What does that mean and in what way can it harm my computer? Do I download it anyway?
You get that message any time you download an executable file. It is safe to open as long as you download from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

I am currently using MacBook Pro 13 Inch. i had install an app which they say is FREE but it actually charge me USD 1.
can anyone tell me why is it charging USD 1 since they say is FREE?!No. The authorization hold is usually just for your first download only.
From the link I posted previously...
"You might see authorization requests on your online statement. These requests aren't actual charges; they are tests to confirm that your payment card account is active and has available funds to accommodate transactions. Authorization holds are removed by your financial institution shortly after your purchase clears. The time it takes to remove authorization requests varies by financial institution." -
I trying to download a free app but it says my method patient was declined
I trying to download a free app but it says my method patient was declined
What type of payment method are you using?
iTunes store accepted forms of payment
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5552
Is this a new account? Even though its a free app the account holder needs to be verified by a verifiabel payment method. Once the account is created, you can remove the info. -
What should you do when you download a file and it says that it can harm your computer?
My school is giving students free Microsoft Office and I downloaded the one labled Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac. But when did the first step in installing it, which was download the Download the Secure Download Manager (SDM) installation file, a warning came up saying: This type of file can harm your computer. Do you want to keep SDM.pkg anyway? I'm not sure whether or not I should Discard it or Keep it.
That's a warning from the Chrome browser. If you're sure that you downloaded the file directly from Microsoft, and not from any other website, you can ignore it.

I keep getting calls from (removed), so I added that number to my list of calls to block. It doesn't ring anymore, but I keep getting notification messages that say "Call back (removed)". Why do I receive this when the call should be blocked?
Private info removed as required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service
Message was edited by: Admin ModeratorOkay, you are correct the call is not supposed to ring in. Have you done any troubleshooting on the phone? First off, try power cycling the phone. Turn the phone off, then back on again. If that does not work, then try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. See if that changes things. Is the caller using the exact number that you blocked, or is it possible they are using another number, or have restricted the Caller ID?

Trying to download Adobe Flash Player but it will not accept my Mac password. Any ideas?

Where are you trying to get Flash Player from? Downloading is different from installing but many malicious websites offer to supply Flash Player as a means of installing malicious software and gathering personal information (e.g., passwords). You should get Adobe Flash only from Adobe and this link lets you download the full installer (Mac OS X (Intel) DMG) and run it locally. At that point OS X will ask for your password and if you've been using it successfully for other purposes (e.g., changing some items in System Preferences), it should work there too. Note that once Flash Player is installed, a Preference panel is installed too, and in it you can authorize Adobe to update Flash automatically. -
I was trying to download cs2 free version but, the serial number given comes back invalid. Is there a new one?
Item 2, on the download page
'You can use the serial numbers provided as a part of the download only if you legitimately purchased CS2, CS2 applications, Acrobat 7, or Audition 3.'

Bright Screen/Washed out colour!!!
I have an imac g4 which has the same symptoms as an earlier post, ie. an overly bright and washed out display. My hunch is that it could be a loose wire somewhere. The fault developed after it was in transit, it was in all its original packaging. Has
