  • Can't install itunes in windows vista

i'm just upgrade my gf's PC from Windows XP to Vista. I find that I can't install itunes. As it said visualbsic script is missing or disabled. How can i solve it??

I think it would be a good idea to scan for malware as malware often interferes with Windows Update.
Download Malware bytes and run a full scan, there is a free version:
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/
In services, check the Window Update service. It should show as "started" and start up type automatic.
The other thing is to run the system file checker:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
This will attempt to fix problems and if it will not run, that is another clue to the problem.

  • Am getting Routine error  R6034. I can not open iTunes.  Windows Vista Home  64 bit

For the  first time,am getting a routine error R6034. Do not let open my iTunes, and possible lost all my contents. Why is this happening, is it nothing  secure on the Internet no more even our music? Please  I appreaciate any good help. I tried to redownload am stil the same  message. During reinstallation.."Service Apple mobile device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges. Options   ABORT,RETRY,OR IGNORE. That is what am getting.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • Can't install itunes on windows vista 64 bit

I'm trying to install itunes on a windows vista 64 bit machine but keep getting the error message "could not access network location %appdata%\." Does anybody know what is the matter?

It looks like it's having trouble getting one of the iTunes preference files in. There's a couple in each user account (usually in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes and C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes).
Has a version of iTunes previously been successfully installed on that PC? If so, was it working properly prior to your doing the current installs?
What hard drive is your "Users" folder on? Is it the C drive or somewhere else?
If it's somewhere else, are your Program files also on that other drive or are they on the C drive?

  • Can't install iTunes in windows vista x64 (error 0x80070002)

I have been encountering some trouble when trying to install iTunes in my Windows Vista 64-bit PC. When I attempt to install it, it gaves me a HRESULT: 0x80070002 error. I have been looking on the internet for a solution to this and have already tried everything. I also have the same error code when trying to make Windows updates.
I was wondering if there is a solution to this problem or do I have to reinstall my OS to get it right.

I've downloaded the newest version of iTunes but it will not install tried everything. Uninstalled and ran as administrator you name it, currently have no iTunes installed. Get this message,

So after I have to hit cancel I get another message saying basically error code 2330.  I'm at whits ends. Help if you can.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • I can not install itunes on windows 7

Itunes said I needed to upgrade to version 11.1. I tried to download and nothing. It will not let me install ( I have windows 7). Long story short I have deleted itunes then tried to re-install again. This did not work. Now, I don't have itunes at all. Someone please help

The installer has insufficient privileges to access the directory. C:\programdata\microsoft\windows\startmenu\programs\itunes  log on as a administrator or contact your system administrator.

  • Can not install iTunes on Windows &

Ok I got a new eMachine the other day to replace my old out of date PC. I can download iTues but when I double click the installer nothing happens. It did ask me if I trusted the source of the download and I said I did but then nothing happens. I ran as the admin and also did the compatibility thing but nothing works. Please help me out!!! I have done tons of searching on the internet but I am at a loss of what the problem is. Thank you in advance...

Silent installer failure can be tricky I am afraid.
Did you download the file from: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
And save it on you PC rather than running it from the browser?
If so right click on the installer and select Properties>>General tab.
Down at the bottom you should see an unblock button. Does pressing it help.
Otherwise, we have seen router issues casuing trouble. If you are accessing the internet via wirelss, can you try plugging in and re downloading.
If it is a laptop, can you take it to another location so you can download via a different connection.
Finally are you able to obtain a known good copy of the installer downlaoded by a friend who can give it to you on a memory stick.

I get this complicated error mesage and then the installer rolls back and fails.
I'd like to have a closer look at that error message please.
Generate the error message again. While the error message box is open, hold down the Alt key and hit the PrtSc key. Paste the screenshot into an image file (using a program like Paint), and save the file.
Start a reply here and click the wee camera icon at the top of the reply window. Click "Choose file", browse to the image file, select the file and click "Open". Now click "Insert file" to insert the screenshot into the reply.

The other day I was prompted to update itunes.  I started to, and it crashed my itunes.  Then I tried to uninstall itunes, so that I could turn around and re-install it again.  Now I can not install itunes.  I get Runtime Error! message. R6034.  For the last two hours I have  tried deleting itunes, moving the .dll files to the desktop, restarting the computer (more times than I can count), deleting the temp files, updating my internet explorer, using the fix it program,.....
The two messages that I am getting are:
Runtime Error! Program:c\Program Files (x86)\itunes\Tunes.exe     R6034   An application has made an attempt to load the c runtime library incorrectly.  Please contact the application's support team for more information.
Also:  Service to 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Moblie Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient priviledges to start system services.

I too was getting the same message regarding R6034. After many frustrating hours I went to the iTunes support page and clicked on "install and update." When that page came up I scrolled on to "removing and reinstalling iTunes......" There they tell you what files need to be removed and what order to do it in so you can reinstall iTunes. My iTunes works now and I didn't lose any music.
About the Apple Mobile Device, well that's one of the files that has to be uninstalled. When you reinstall iTunes the Apple Mobile Device is automatically reinstalled.
Hope this works for you as it did for me. Warning: it takes about an hour to do all this.
