(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

That message usually indicates that your phone was hacked to unlock it from the original phone carrier, then when you updated or restored it locked back to that carrier.

'Requires=network.target' wasn't in it so I added it but nothing's changed. I've left it in because openVPN does require network.
As I said, I had this problem with a script so I don't think it's anything specific to openVPN. I had a weird occurrence this morning however. When I started the computer up this morning openVPN worked just fine. However when the computer rebooted openVPN couldn't resolve the host address again.

Videos not playing in iTunes 7, where can I get previous version of iTunes

Since "upgrading" to iTunes 7, I can't get any of my videos to play in iTunes--they show up but nothing happens when I try to play them. This includes videos I bought via iTunes and DVDs I imported using Handbrake. I didn't upgrade to Quicktime 7 because I was afraid it would cause even more problems for the movies spent hours importing. So I have two questions:
(1) If I get the upgrade to Quicktime 7, will that allow my videos to play?
(2) If not, how can I revert back to the earlier version of iTunes? I have tried searching the forums and have found some information about how to remove iTunes 7, but can't find where to download the previous version (would that be 6.05--I can't remember).

Never mind. I found iTunes 6.05 in the Downloads section of the Apple page. Now I'm back, thank God.

Last night i was downloading the new update for the Iphone, and after the download was done and trying to install, it errored out. And now my phone is stuck on the screen with the itunes icon and the USB.

Last night i was downloading the new update for the Iphone4 on my laptop through Itunes. After the download was done, it was starting to install, and then an error came up and didnt get a chance to check it. Now my Iphone is stuck on the screen with the USB pointing to the Itunes Icon and wont do anything else. Any advice on how to get this fixed, or do i need to go to the Apple store and have them look at it.

Find the app named Install Mac OS X Lion.app
Move that app to the trash
relaunch The App Store
go to your Purchased list
Click on install next to Lion
It will re-download the installer

It looks to me like it is a problem on your Windows computer not being able to start an application. It may help if you know or can determine which program Windows is trying to open when you upload photos -- there can be many different ones and it can be set by the user. If you are using Windows 7, you may need to check your Autoplay settings. by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.

Where can I get ITunes 8?

Apparantly I need ITunes 8 installed before I can try to install ITunes 9 on my W2003. I can find lots of obscure versions using Google, but are there an official download from Apple somewhere?

I'd like Apple to answer that one too!
Simply put: The Installer doesn't support W2003 and more seriously the ITunes 9 IPodService doesn't work with W2003 either. I need the IPodService from ITunes 8.

A lot of burning problems with ITunes 6.. Where Can I Get ITunes 4 back?

Few weeks ago I've installed ITunes 6 on my new pc.
At this point of time I could burn CDs, but the soundcheck didn't work. I've inserted a blanc disc and selected the playlist. But then the Burn- Button didn't get yellow. So I clicked on it and the CD was directly burned without aligning the volumes of the songs..
The second problem occured today. I've reinstalled iTunes 6 and now the message 'disc recorder not found' appears each time, when I wanna burn a disc.
What does It Mean?
Is It possible to switch back to iTunes 4. There I hadn't any problems..
