TS5376 remove all apple apps.

removed ALL apple apps.  rebooted.  install ok now.

Hi Chris,
Any way I can re-install / reset the OS without disc?
How recent is the other bootable partition?
Any chance I can re-install from the bootable partition I have undamaged?
You could just clone it back, but you might lose recent things on the bad one if not careful.

I think that means a Security Update was done before a Safari Update.
Finally I used Pacifist to install Safari312UpdPPC.pkg (just drag it on to Pacifist and install the whole package, answering 'update' for applications and 'replace' for files when prompted.

I got an iPhone 4 a week ago. I synced my iTunes once and now I want to change what albums and playlists are on my phone. When I try to do this, iTunes threatens to remove all my apps. Of course, Apple's support is no help. I know there has to be a way to add and remove whole albums and playlists like on the music tab on the device, so please don't tell me to uncheck/delete everything from my iTunes that I don't want and re-sync. That is not helpful and not the issue. How do I get around it threatening to remove all my apps?

On the MacBook, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Advanced > Disable remote control

  • Shutting down my iPhone 4S no longer removes all the apps that have accumulated on the multitasking bar. What happened?

Maybe I imagined it, but I could have sworn that holding down the home button and sleep button at the same time until the slider icon appears at the top of the screen, and then engaging the slider icon,  completely shuts down your iPhone and also removes all the apps that have accumulated in the multitasking bar.  But, that does not work anymore on my iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0.1 (9A405).  The iPhone shuts down, but the apps in the multitasking bar remain after you turn the phone back on.  Did I imagine this feature in the past, or has something happened that no longer enables this functionality?  Closing all those open apps in the multitasking bar one at a time is a PIA.

On belhalf of my fellow volunteers, the answer is, "We'll try our best."
My advice is to try not to treat this like it is a paid service provided by compensated professionals.  Ask nicely and one of the nice folks here might take some time out of their weekend to offer advice.

  • TS4431 Can't update to IOS8 even when I remove all the APPS I've installed

I cannot update to IOS 8 on my iPad Air even though I've removed all the APPs I can. I'm afraid to remove my music in case I lose it all forever (I have lots of iCloud storage but don't understand how it works so don't know how to access my music through it.)
I have 855 MB available and 12.0 GB used. I have Pages and Shazam but even removing them didn't free up enough space.

    Hello estellefromon
Try updating your iPad using iTunes instead of trying do it through your iPad. If you do that you will not have to worry about making more room.
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch iOS software

What exactly happens when you try to redownoad by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
What exactly happens whne you try to download a free app?
    Are the apps "waiting"?

  • Can The "Reset All Content and Settings" will remove ALL Apple Accounts?

    Good Day,
My mom will give me a Second Hand iPhone 5s.She dont know/forget the Apple ID that its currently stored on the phone, and i said to sign out the apple ID there and she did it.
Now my question is, Is the "Reset All Content and Settings" can delete/remove ALL Apple Accounts?
I asked this question because, one time i read about a question here saying that when he reboot/update the phone that he didnt own first, said that the iPhone asked to input the ID that its installed/stored.
Im curious, worried, and preparing some money to prepare for this.
I hope someone can answer this Question within this week, so i can save money for repair etc.
    Thanks in Advance.

No amount of money is going to change Activation Lock. If the device has iOS 7 and you restore it, then you will need the original Apple ID and password used to activate the phone to be able to activate it yourself.
Reset All Content and Settings will not remove Activation Lock. Your mom is going to have to remember what Apple ID was used to activate the device, or it will be useless to you. Apple will not disable it.
It is all on your mother right now.

  • I had deleted all Apple apps

I deleted all Apple apps when I got the computer and installed Microsoft windows for Macs and Firefox.  Most recently, the Firefox browser keeps crashing so I'm thinking of reinstalling all of the mac applications and programs, but not sure how to do it.  I had deleted all Mac apps that I could find including Safari.  ny idea how to reinstall?  I cannot access the internet from the Macbook Pro because Firefox has stopped working.

There is only one way to do that: reinstall OS X. Try this:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Mountain Lion or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • I have got a lot of apps, which are not installed on any of my iDevices anymore. is there a possibility to remove all those apps from iTunes without searching which ones are, and which ones aren't installed on one of my iDevices?

I have got a lot of apps, which are not installed on any of my iDevices anymore. is there a possibility to remove all those apps from iTunes without searching which ones are, and which ones aren't installed on one of my iDevices?

Assuming all the device(s) have been synced to this computer as its Home computer. The easiest way would be to delete all the apps from iTunes. After which connect your device(s) to the computer (iTunes) and transfer purchases from the device(s) by right click (control click) the device name in the left sidebar and the click transfer purchases. When done only the apps on your device(s) will be in you iTunes library.
    Hope that helps

  • Remove non apple app from Launchpad

How do you remove a non Apple App from Launchpad without deleting it from the PC?

Place all of the non Apple apps into a folder within Launchpad.
At least... the non Apple apps won't be spread across Launchpad.

  • ITunes 9 removing all my apps at syncing

hello, I got iTunes 9 last night and had no problems at all, I loved it, but when i wanted to sync my ipod touch 2nd gen. 16 gb, even though the app tabs has checked all the apps i want (almost 90 i think), and i got the 3.1 update, iTunes will start removing allll my apps, i have to stop the syncing otherwise i lose them all. When i apply the changes after rearragment sometimes it will show up an alert saying that iTunes will remove 73 apps from my ipod, are you sure to continue?
i haven't seen this problem anywhere, have you? any ideas?

Different iPod but same principle, maybe...
When I first synced after installing iTunes 9, I got the same error message that it would remove my 19 Games (Apps to a Classic)
This was due to a bug in which I had to reauthorize my PC, even thought it was already authorized. After I did this it worked fine.
Now I need to email Apple as I have lost an extra Authorization. Definitely a problem at their end though
    Hope this helps

  • All apple apps are crashing

Hello everyone! I have a Macbook Pro i purchased at the start of this year. It's been working beautifully. I recently installed Transmit (ftp program). I've noticed since then my macbook is constantly dying. Not sure if it's related to that app or not.
Now if i come back from sleep mode, i can login, and every Apple app will crash. No other app will. So Safari, calendar, mail, messages, app store. All will be crashed. I have to force quit everything and restart the mac. I cannot force quit and reload the app, it will just crash again.
I have done constant backups using our Time Capsule pretty much everyday, and i also have Mountain Lion installed from the App Store.
I'm not sure how to fix this problem, on Macrumours i was told to re-install the operating system. I'm not sure how to go about this, and i'm worried about not having all my information on here.
Any help and advice please? Thanks!

I think i'm just going to go for a fresh start and wipe the whole thing. Is there anyway at all i can do this, and then select items from my timecapsule backup?
For example, certain files from my downloads folder.
Or do i need to do a restore from backup? But that might bring back the errors.....Grrr!
The only importan things i have on my mac are my photo library and my music collection, everything else is not important

  • Lost all Apple App's in Upgrade from G5 Dual 2.5GHz to the G5 Quad

I just got the new G5 Quad and did the Firewire rehost of all my data. Interstingly enough, all my app's like Reason, PhotoShop, Premier, Poser, Bryce, Maya, even MS Office and ZBrush moved right over with their respective serial numbers however Shake, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Final Cut Pro HD, Compressor, LiveType and Cinema Tools all refuse to work without their serial numbers being re-entered. If you try to re-enter your serial# it tells you it is no good.
All I could do was throw all the Apple professional applications away and re-install them. Then the system would accept the same serial #'s it refused to accept before. I'm not sure is will work for all Pro App's yet as I've only had time to do Shake and Motion.
    Anyone else seen this?
    G-5 Quad 2.5GHz, Powerbook 1.25GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Did you use the Migration Assistant? If so, that could be the problem. It probably didn't copy some important invisible files. I always suggest using Carbon Copy Cloner via Firewire Target Disk mode to clone a drive over.

  • All Apple apps quit after system update install

Installed most recent system update on a perfectly stable, happy Mac. Since then, any apple app- (mail, safari, update, address book so far) will launch and then immediately quit. I am also getting a "subpubagent unexpectedly quit" pop-up which has never happened before on this machine. Firefox, word etc. all seem fine. Any ideas?

Restore your bootable backup/clone containing your OS before updating. Don't have one? Tsk, tsk. In that case, see http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/multipleappsquit.html

  • ALL apple apps quit unexpectedly

    Hi,
All apple applications (Mail, Safari, Software update etc) are quitting unexpectedly while starting up.
Other apps as in CS3, Firefox etc work okay.
It only happens on my MacPro which is a year older than the Book. Otherwise software should be pretty much identical. The Book is running fine.
What to do? Thanks for your help.

The Console utility may show some useful information in the areas of system.log and CrashReporter. (Search the "Log List" in the left column until you find those.) Once you find information that seems to relate to the problem, post the details here and someone may be able to help you interpret it.
