Exit Registry Editor.
Restart the computer.
NOTE IF IT WOULD NOT WORK WE NEED TO DO A REINSTALLATION OF THE WINDOWS USING THE HDD PARTITION OF TOSHIBA REMEMBER THAT ONCE WE DO THIS ALL OF THE FILES WOULD BE DELETED AND WHAT WOULD ONLY BE BACK ARE THE SOFTWARES THAT CAME WITH THE LAPTOP WHEN YOU BOUGHT IT.

    hi all
my cd rom is not being detected besides i have applied all known corrections of driver update etc including the tips in HP support page...........................help me out plz

This can happen when you install CD/DVD software not designed for Vista. For example if you install iTunes v6 for XP, it may load an incompatible Filter Driver in Vista and cause problems.
Try removing the UpperFilters and Lowerfilters. Sollow this guide: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=314060

  • TSST corp CDDVDW TS-L632N Device freezes 99% when burning

Hi I have this device on my HP Presario A900,whenever Itry to burn a disc it freezes o 99%,destroying countless discs
Can someone please help with this problem?
    Thanx

What firmware level is your CD/DVD drive?
Try using a quality media such as Verbatim and avoid the cheap stuff.  Have you tried using differnet applications to burn the media.  Try Imgburn (it's a freebie).
Use R/W media until you can separate the problem between software and hardware as being the culprit.

You are a legend!!  I have spent countless hours uninstalling, reinstalling itunes, playing with firewall settings, reading articles on this problem!!  I only have to un-sync my iphone 5 and then the airplay icon magically appeared!!!  Maybe I have too many devices syncing via wi-fi, or maybe it is the Iphone syncing??
Whatever - one step and now I can enjoy my music through my house again!

    Processor: Turion X2 dual-core mobile RM75 2,2 Ghz
    Ram: 4 GB

My DVD won't work at all! I can't tell what had happens, but ofcourse it has been working well!
I can't see my drive in the pathfinder as a map.
I have tried to delete the driver + shut down the pc and restart the pc. And at last reinstalled the above mentioned driver! Nothing helped!
I can see that there is power on the unit and when I put on a dvd it starts to spin - but then nothing happens!
    Can somebody help!

    Hi,
You could try the automated fixit from Microsoft on the link below.
    Vista
If the above fix hasn't worked, try the following.  From the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager.  Click to open the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers.  Right click on the first channel and select uninstall.  Do not delete drivers if asked.  When uninstalled repeat the process for each channel.  Also if an ATA controller is listed, right click and uninstall this.  Again, do not delete drivers if asked.
Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives.  If your optical drive appears here, right click and select uninstall.  Do not delete drivers if asked.
Restart your PC and let Windows re-install these devices.  Give it a minute or two, then see if the drive is working.
Let me know how it goes.
    Best wishes,

  • Hp g70-467cl: the ts-l633m DVD gives a code 39 error, I need a replacement driver to correct this

I have a HP G70-467CL Notebook PC Computer and I'm getting a (Code 39) error on the TSST corp CDDVDW TS-L633M ATA Device I'm running Windows Vista 64-bit Operating System the error says it is missing or has a corrupted driver issue. and when I checked for a solution nothing came up. Can anyone help me obtain the correct needed device driver? the only device drivers I could locate were for sound, display, chipset, modem, and LAN. I have already exhausted the available troubleshooters onsite HP and Microsoft. Thank you all.

Have you ran "Windows Update"? It can sometimes locate drivers for the hardware that is installed. If that doesn't work for you, let me know and I will see if I can find anything for you.

  • Can no longer Burn Audio CD's

I have a Compaq CQ50 142US laptop and have never had any problems burning audio CD's until about a week ago.  Now when I drag several tracks from my Windows Media Player library to the "Burn List" column and click the "Start Burning" button it shows that each track is being "Analyzed"- then ,"Being Burned to CD"- and after showing this for the last track in the list it says "Disc being Finalized". Now in the past after a few seconds the CD/DVD tray would automatically pop open and I would have a great sounding CD,but now I have to press the button on the tray and there is nothing on the disc. But when I put the same disc back in and try to burn again I get a message telling me to put in a BLANK disc. I contacted the online techs and was told several things that should correct the problem ,including performing a total wipe and restore which I did with no positive results so I took my problem to a local computer repair shop and they said that it appears that my burner is shot. They didn't have any there so I figured I would order one online. I may have failed to mention that I am by no means a computer whiz so when I tried finding the correct part to hopefully solve my problem I realized quickly that I was trying to speak a totally different language and would need some expert help. So here I am !....All I know for sure is that my laptop supposedly has the "LightScribe" feature and that when I go to "Device Manager" and click on, "DVD/CD-ROM Drives", it says that my laptop has a, "TSST corp CDDVDW TS-L633L ATA", with no mention of LightScribe. I went to several sites offering parts for laptops and found that there are dozens of burners with SOME of the letters and numbers as mine, but none that are exactly the same . There was, DVD +RW TS-L633 , DVD PLUS over MINUS RW Drive 485038-001 TS-L633 ,DVD RW CD RW Combo Drive SATA TS-L633, and one that caused a bit of concern since I am supposed to have "LightScribe" was the one marked, DVD RW Lightscribe Drive TS-L633 .
Can someone please tell me which part number I need to order so I will be able to burn CDs as well as DVDs and will be able to use the Lightscribe feature on my Compaq CQ50-142US Notebook ?
Thank you in advance for any and all help you can offer !

I won't pretend this is a welcome suggestion...but if worst comes to worst, you could consider purchasing Toast.

  • Device Error - Sense Code(3 73 04) with PE4

Until yesterday, I had been creating DVDs from my camcorder without issue. Now, PE4 gets through 99% of the burning process before the disk ejects with the above error message.
It seems the content makes it onto the disk, but the data can not be read by a DVD player. I'm not sure if the error is pointing to the drive, the disk or something else. My system specs are:
-- Preimiere Elements 4 (it was a combo pack with Photoshop 6)
-- Vista Home Premium (Service Pack 1)
    -- HP m8330f
    -- AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core Processor 2.2 GHz
    -- 3.0 GB RAM
-- TSST corp CDDVDW TS-H653N SCSI CdRom Device
I wouldn't think this issue is because of a system limitation or bad equipment. The only think I did between my last succsessful burn and now was installing Photoshop 6.
Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Howlbait,
Good with the test! This shows that PE can do a Burn, just not to the burner. It also shows that the burner is capable and works, though could still be on the edge of failing.
This points me toward something else getting in the way of your Burn to DVD from PE.
Adobe's programs, that Burn directly to DVD (Elements, PP up to versions 2 and Encore), need 100% control of the physical burner. Programs like Nero and Roxio will install "packet-writing" sub-applications (InCD and DLA, in those above cases), if one does not do a custom install. These sub-apps will seize control of the burner(s) and NOT turn them loose for Adobe.
If you have either of these programs, chances are good that their packet-writing sub-app is installed, and keeping Adobe from seeing the burner. This most often manifests itself with a "Burner Not Found" error message. That's the reason that others (and I) mentioned problems with the media, or with the physical burner, or its connection. You got the "SenseCode" error, not the "Burner Not Found." Because of this, your case is unusual.
I'd next to to Control Panel>System>Device Manager and scroll down to CD/DVD drives. Check out your drive there, and see what Windows says about your burner. Write down the version of firmware that it has installed. If all of this is good there, I'd see if there was a firmware update for the burner.
Often, when an OS updates, whether automatically or via user instructions, the updated OS reveals problems with burner firmware - same for audio drivers. What this means is that one day, a burner will work perfectly. Then, the OS updates and you get problems. First, check your burner mfgr's Web site for the current firmware version. Device Manager should tell you the firmware you currently have.
If this does not help, someone else will have to chime in, as I will have emptied my bag-o-tricks.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Need help with DVD model/Firmware update info

I am sorry to post here but have found no other way to try and get help or information about a Toshiba, (supposedly) slim style internal DVDRW unit, TS-632H, for our computer.  The label on the unit says Toshiba Samsung, and the complete number on the label is Tsst corp CDDVDW TS-632-H. (This is what is also shows in Device Manager/Properties for the unit.  We are trying to find the (real) model of this unit so we can determine the firmware version to make sure we have the latest version on the unit and to see if there are any specific drivers for the unit.  Thank you for your help and again, sorry if this may be the wrong forum and maybe directing us to an appropriate forum would be appreciated if there is such one.  Thank you.

The information you see in the Device Manager is correct. If you can furnish the full model# be of great assistance.  There, try this-- Free Download TSST DVD Drive Firmware for Toshiba Notebooks  You should be concerned that the driver is up to date as it more of an asset to you.

  • Satellite P200-1FC: CD/DVD drive will not start - error Code 10

My Satellite P200-1FC was purchased in January 2008 and preloaded with Vista Home Premium. The DVD/CD Drive is listed in device manager as "TSST corp CDDVDW TS-L632H ATA Device".
At first the drive worked perfectly, but has recently refused to start. Device manager now shows it with a yellow exclamation mark and it's status is given as "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
Clicking check for solutions produces "could not load driver software" but no solution.
Searching similar questions in user forums suggests a use of a Microsoft Help & Support page headed "The CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected on a computer that you upgraded to Windows Vista".
However this involves modifying the registry! As a relative novice I am reluctant to do this unless I can find no easier way.
Must I bite the bullet and and enter this minefield, or is there a better way?

    >At first the drive worked perfectly, but has recently refused to start. Device manager now shows it with a yellow exclamation mark and it's status is given as "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".
This error is definitely caused by a wrong registry entry.
I had such error several times ago and I have solved it removing the lower and upper filters from these registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    Here are some steps how it worked on my Windows system;
    - I removed the CD/DVD drive from the device manager
    - Then edited the registry as described above
    - Rebooted the notebook
Im sure it will help you too.
    Bye

  • I've got some Toshiba Tempo Alerts

I have had six alerts and five of them have been about updating the Toshiba Disk Creator.
Each of those five advises me to go to Audio CD, Disk Information to check that ODD and FW version match.
Each time the example drive starts: (D:) TSST corp CDDVDW... but when I look at my Audio CD Disk information it is (F:) Mat****a...
Should I ignore these five alerts?
    Thanks.
    Peter

You receive such Tempro alerts because new software updates were uploaded on the Toshiba driver page.
But this doesnt mean that you have to update anything.
I follow always this suggestion; never change the running system. And I would also not recommend to change anything if you notebook runs troublefree.
I think you can ignore these notifications!

  • Pavillion 9550f with Light Scribe DVD/CD no longer works

I have a Pavillion 9550F with a Lightscribe super media DVD/CD Writer.  It was working fine until yesterday.  I am running Windows 7.  When I put in a cd or dvd it doesn't do anything.  In Divice Manager under dvd/cd it lists TSST corp CDDVDW TS-H6532.  No lightscribe.  The cd drive willopen and close.  What can I do to get it to read and write cd's/DVD's again?

I tried all the steps from 2 - 5 and still no luck.
When I place a cd into the drive ths is what I see on my computer:  I cannot right click on the drive.  Was wondering if the drive truly was supposed to be at E or if something got messed up when I was downloading power points onto a cd yesterday.  Anything else I could try?
