TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED in report

Hi,
I am getting the short dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED while accessing the report from the favourites. I am able to access the Base report and no problem in that. Checked with the basis and checked the system log as well as application log.. Enough memory is available for the processes. Please share some thoughts on this.

Hi Jitendra,
Just check if you are able to execute the same report in RSRT transaction code, provide the parameters there. Just to confirm also check if the report is based on a target which has BIA indexes on it, If yes check if the BIA server is not overloaded..
TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED error occurs whenever sufficient memory required to execute a process is not present in your case its a report.
Check the ST22 for dump that you get and try checking the values for the parameters and see if the parameters are in accordance with the SAP Note : 20527, If not escalate to BASIS again.

Hi,
For background processing you need to got sm36 and schedule job. I think the problem occurs in function module. it means new page allocation is failed for the business partner. so it is retriving more than one page active Business partner for the product id.

Report MB5L giving runtime error TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED

While running the Report MB5L we are getting the runtime
error "TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED"
We tried to schedule this report at non-peak hours but it again got
terminated with same error.
We are using 12GB of RAM.

TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED error while executing the report

Hi all,
. We are having an info cubeXFIAP_C12 (FIAP: Vendor Line Item Open).In which we have defined 10 Dimensions and 6 Line Item Dimensions. We have created a report on this with Key date as Input Variable Which gives me From Start to Till Date data. Also have an Variable on company code.
Then No of Records in my Cube is 45, 70,624.Compressed the Info Cube data .But No aggregates on it.
Now when I provide the key date as 30.06.2011 and Company code =XYZ.
I am unable to Execute the Report, It gives me a short Dump. Saying NO ROLL MEMORY.
Variables:
1. Key Date: Is a Customer Exit variable .If user Enters Data as 30.06.2011 ,It fetches data from u201C00000000u201D to u201C30.06.2011u201D.
2.Company code: Is a Manual Entry /Default variable.
I also have shot dump.Please find the error analysis of dump below:

Just check following things

2. See whether any back up process is happening and it has consumed the main memory.
3. Are you getting this error regularly
4. See any transport went and compression/aggregation got removed.
5. Check whether there are many dumps in ST22 same time when you execute report

Production error - Urgent - TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED

Im getting dumps in production system with
Runtime Error: TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED. and when checked the trace, it says as Data type "MCVBAPB" was found in a newer version than required.
Any pointers to this wil be helpful

the TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED dump has naught to do with the version of MCVBAPB. the dump clearly states that there was no more paging area available to run the report/transaction that caused the dump. this might either be due to an too big selection or a lack of memory. Consult your basis-people with that one.
the version of MCVBAPB: MCVBAPB is a structure belonging to LIS (Logistics Information System) so obviously someone changed that structure. check in t-code SE11, MCVBAPB the runtime and the database object of the structure (in case it is active).

Hi Jimmi,
The error TSV_NEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED means that more memory was requested
because the program needed to expand an internal table, but is not available.
When Extended Memory is used up, the process will go into PRIV mode
as it starts using Heap Memory (or vice-versa). No other user will be able to use this work process while it is in PRIV mode.
If there is enough heap for it to finish, you will not see the error TSV_NEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED and the work process will be freed.
This seems to be a problem with loading of shared memory.
Check value of parameter abap/shared_objects_size_MB in RZ11.
Set the parameter to minimum 250 and increase it when necessary, as per SAP note 1281896. You must start the system newly so that the change becomes effective.
Also take a look at SAP Note 1166259.

Short dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED when import SAPKB70016

I´m trying to import the support package SAPKB70016 im my QAS system and I got an error. The import stop on phase XPRA_EXECUTION and I saw at the tcode sm37 that there is a job running with the name RDDEXECL. This job is canceled with the dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED. I already changed some parameters and also I applied some notes but I can´t solve this issue.

TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED error while executing FAGLL03

Dear Experts,
We are on AIX, Oracle 10g and ECC 6.0
One of our FI consultant is trying to execute a report using the standard T-Code: FAGLL03 for a range of 1 year, but when she executes this she gets the following dump (runtime error)
TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED
So on working on this error i found that we need to set few abap parameters, for which i have done the following parameter settings..

After doing these chnages and there was a problem restarting the server, and then i made changes to the abap/buffersize parameter from 900000 to 600000 and then 500000 but the server never restarted.
So finally i have copied the instance profile which was earlier backed up back into the profile folder and the restarted the server which is working fine now.
Now my question is can any one plese help with the best settings so that i can resolve the FI issue and restart my server without any problems.

I suggest you to follow below SAP Notes:

you should have at least 20GB swap space configured, at least 8GB RAM configured
On heap parameter:
      abap/heap_area_nondia: 0
      Previous Value: 2000000000
why you configure zero ? please maintain at 2GB
abap/buffersize is a very sensitve parameter. simply increasing it will end up in system emergency mode with PXA shared memory dump.
if you are running windows, then please activate ZAMM.
If you are running AIX, i suggest you to look into SAP Note 789477.

I have one clarification here,
User was running a report with extensive selection,unfortunately the user got the error "TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED"
Then there was shortdump in ST22, saying that " No more storage space available for extending an internal table"
I would like to know that which query was this user running during that time. then i can investigate further what can be done to avoid this problems.

Hi,
TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED - No more storage space available for extending an internal table.
It is purely the memory issue. you can resolve this by reducing the data selections. For the temporary solution remove the OLAP variable in the data selection if its there and run with less selection It may help and try to use the option in infopackage scheduler as PSA only and Update subseqently in data targets

I am getting the dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED when running transaction FBRA. Error is "No storage space available for extending an internal table."
Below is the details of memory utilisation when dump occured:

First time when it failed, I have checked the work process overview and found that DIA WP is switched to PRIV mode. Assuming that heap memory is not enough,
I have increased the Heap Memory thru RSmemory Program on that application server.

Since the user is running transaction in DIA mode, i have increased the DIA heap memory
Quota Dialog:

To copy this, I have said Edit -> Adopt limit and then clicked on copy. After doing this still the job failed for Heap memory at 3000053072.
Can you please let me know what has gone wrong and how to specify to use the Heap memory till 6000000000 defined in RSMemory ?
Is there any other solution to make this thing work ? Any help is highly appreciated.

Hello Eric,
there is no need to restart the system after changing the Heap-Quotas, they are dynamically adjustable via RSMEMORY.
If the report still dumps with TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC after increasing abap/heap_area_dia, probably abap/heap_area_total has to be increased as well. Consult <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/02/9626da538111d1891b0000e8322f96/frameset.htm">help.sap.com</a> for more details.

APD master data join - ABAP dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED

I have created an APD to join 3 ISU master data infoobjects
1. left join 0UCPREMISE with 0UC_CONNOBJ
2. left join 0UCINSTALLA with result of 1.
3. Store the data in ODS
When I did this in DEV (D4S) everything worked - but there is also much
less data in the master data infoobjects.
When running the APD in Test (Q4S) I get ABAP dump after a while (not
time out): TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED
1. I have tried with the APD setting to store in internal memory to OFF
but the same problems occur.
2. I tried to create index (on /BI0/P* ) for fields part of the join
which was not table key but same problem occurs.
3. I have no filters for the joins as I want to get all master data in
the output ODS.
4. The size of the p-tables are:

If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.

Anybody have any idea what i can do to be able to run this APD (in production I want to run it on a monthly basis). To me it seems the APD fills 2 gig of mem, I thought the APD option to not store the complete dataset in internal memory (using temp tables instead) would kick in before the 2 gigs was used. Basis team didn't want to raise mem paramenters if it could be sorted out any other way.

I have searched on my problem before posting here ofcourse - but somehow I missed this one, mentioned in 794257:
"InfoObject" data source
A dump occurs because of a memory overflow in the SAPLRSDM_F4 function group in the SD_CHA_GET_VALUES function module.
The InfoObject data source for reading master data is currently based on a function module that loads all data into the main memory in an inefficient data structure. As a result, the data source is only suitable for reading master data with a few data records. A memory overflow can occur for master data tables with lots of records such as business partners or products. This occurs regardless of how the "Process data in the memory" indicator was set.
If this situation occurs, set the InfoObject in such a way that it is available as an InfoProvider. Then use the "InfoProvider" data source instead of the "InfoObject" data source in the analysis process.

"TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED" errors

Our SAP system always gets the "TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED" errors,
It has 16 GB physical memory and its em/initial_size_MB is 13.87 GB and its ztta/roll_extension isztta/roll_extension 2.79 GB.
I want to know where these errors come from :
(1)Our overall Extended Memory (em/initial_size_MB) is not large enough ?
(2)Or our overall Extended Memory is OK but ztta/roll_extension is too small ?
Please help me how to find out the root cause of this error.

is this dump for standard SAP or locally developed program? also check whether user ran report without any selection parameters? is this dump occurring frequently?

TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED with BAPI_AR_ACC_GETOPENITEMS

hi all,
I am using BAPI_AR_ACC_GETOPENITEMS to get open tems, process and update to a Ztable.The structure in the BAPI is having 111 Fields. Of which I am using only 16 fields. I think we cannot restrict the selection of fields only to particular fileds. When I am executing the program with same variant it is giving following runtime errors:
Sometimes TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED ( at Append Lineitems) and sometimes TIME_OUT.
Most of the times I am getting first error.
1)My first question is Why I am getting two errors whrn I execute with same variant?
2)How to avoid TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED
3) How to avoid TIME_OUT error?
I have searched in SDN for TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED. There are many posts but I could not find a solution which supports my requirement?
Can anyone please help.

(1) It seems that based on the selection criteria a huge amount of data is selected. Since there are other users in the system as well as other processes running at some point your report just can't grab any more memory because all memory is already used by your report and other users. You get different dumps because of different system resources available.
If the DB is not very busy it returns the results much faster => you run out of memory
If the DB is very busy you reach the limit for an online transaction and get the TIME_OUT dump
(2) Either BASIS need to add more memory to the application server you report is running on or you need to restrict the selection by running two or three smaller sets rather than one big one
(3) Just schedule the job in bacjground, there is no time out limit for background jobs - However if the results are represented in an ALV grid or other user interaction is necessary this option doens't work.
