Its a dv 6000 in bios it tells me it's a6700 ? Any ways I just got t from a buddy of mine and 3 days later it stopsv and sometimes it will boot up some times no... I have done everything I can through advanced options sometimes not I have a couple things from ms DOS command and a code from attempted auto fixd Auto fix code....d:\windows\system32\logfiles\srt\srttrail.text

My HP laptop does not start without saying that I need to do 890 hi Dr why when accidently drop it.... what can do .... does rebooting it works...

Ipod touch scree frozen on zoomed mode despite restore - help please

my ipod touch screens have been frozen on zoomed mode . i did a restore thro itunes and even then it remains in a zoomed mode . screen is not responsive . any help please or is it a vist to the genius bar.

See this article about how to disable the Zoom feature. Keep in mind that the controls or actions to navigate with your iPod will be slightly different due to this feature being on, which would explain why you are getting no response when touching the screen.

Lost notes and calendar after restore - help, please!

My phone recently froze and I went to the apple store to have it fixed. They reset and restored it, telling me that I wouldn't lose an info as long as I had recently synched it. I came home, synched and now have lost my all my calendar items and my notes.
I was able to recover my contacts and songs, because of the little tabs at the top of the synch screen. However, I can't find how to recover the calendar and notes.
Can someone please help?

Notes are not recoverable unless iTunes has a backup file of a last Sync.
The problem is this file is over written with each sync so it could be outdated by now with current info your iPhone has.
As far as Calenders goes. As long as you are using one of the supported programs in the Link below, And it has your calender data in it. You can use the Tabs your talking about and Sync the info back.
Simply go to Info Tab, Then tell it Sync Calenders, And choose the program based on your PC/Mac and Sync.

IPod won't restore. help please?

I just reinstalled iTunes a week ago, because my iPod has the message "Connect to your computer. Use iTunes to restore." So I reinstalled it, and I plugged my iPod into the computer. iTunes pops up, I click the restore button, and it says it's restoring it. I leave it alone, and an hour later nothing on the computer screen says it's done, and my iPod still has that message when I (safely) unplug it from the computer. I have done this several times with the same results. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Please help!

Itouch wont restore HELP PLEASE

i have a 2nd or 3rd generation itouch. when i unplug it from charging it doesnt work. and when it is pluged in the apple logo appears. i tried restoring it but i wont restore. all it says is "the ipod "******"could not be restored. an unknown error occered (1602). how can i fix this? PLEASE HELP ME

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Need to Restore - HELP Please

Yesterday my IPOD quit working and I got the sad icon with the ! I managed to get into the disk mode and hooked it up to my laptop and it synched. I used it today and it quit working after about 20 minutes. Will somebody please let me know what to expect when I try the next step of restoring it to factory settings? I understand that all songs will be erased from the IPOD. It has been 2 years since I loaded songs and I don't remember what I did when I first got my IPOD. I am a bit concerned since I don't know what to expect. I have a click wheel, 20BG IPOD. Thanks for any information.

my iphone keeps saying restore needed, iphone can not make calls or recieve calls restore on itunes phone says no service all the time, but iphone will not restore on itunes loads half way then stops, ive even tryed to restore settings on my phone manually but then my phone just keeps doing the apple symbol then turns off and on constantlly PLEASE HELP what do i do

ITunes doesn't recognise iPod after restore: help please?

I've just restored, done the connect to power instead of pc (windows based), is reconnected to usb 2 port, but iTunes isn't showing any screen to resetup my iPod, and iPod saying "do not disconnect". What now? Could it be automatically updating without showing in iTunes? This all came about when I tried to do an update of software, which after download & updating pc, only showed "restore" in the iPod updater window.

ok well all im getting is the connect to itunes logo on my ipod touch and i cant restore it in iTunes. after it says extracting software it will prepare to restore but it always fails with a 1604 unknown error. im getting really scared here and would appreciate help.

I experienced this problem just before and have it working now. Although I cannot prove my solution working, but no harm to try. And actually, i have my ipod fixed without doing anything meaningful.
My solution is : Fully recharge your iPod first and try again.

Restore help please

I have a PC. My hard drive would not boot. I installed a new boot drive and a factory clean install of Windows XP Pro. The old boot drive is now installed as a backup. I need to sync my iTouch but it's bascially a new computer. I have the old backup files on the old hard drive. How do I sync my iTouch to the new installation of iTunes and not lose all of my data. I understand the music is another issue, I still have it on yet another hard drive and will deal with that later. My main concerns are mail (contacts and calendar are VERY important), notes (which I will e mail as a back up plan), and any other data on the apps.

ok basicly you have to restore your iPod in itunes and put everything back on.
but theres another alternative, once you have gotten to your ipod touch on your pc then you might get a restore from back up

Try restoring from backup again. From the date of the backup would the photos have been in the backup?

Not apps and other synced media like music. Synced media is not included in the backup. You can redownload iTunes purchases by:

Two days ago I downloaded PS and Dreamweaver trials. I had to do a restore and when I looked; all new Adobe programs were gone. What should I do to get back to the trials I have already downloaded?

Lost iTunes iPhone info (restore help please)

hi all.
i got a prompt when downloading a free pdf reader that i had a "new" or "altered" iPhone on my MacBookPro and i told the prompt to use the newer version and then it told me that it could not download (i think) because there was no iphone or something like this.
now i see that i have nothing listed for my Phone in iTunes. by which i mean i am not seeing an iPhone listed when i would have though something should be listed even if the phone is not plugged into the computer.
does anyone know if there is a good explanation on how to RESTORE the data from my phone to my laptop? or maybe i am misunderstanding what is going on? i basically want to make sure i know what to do before plugging the phone into the computer and attempting to get the data back to the laptop.

The Hold the Home KEY only while connecting to iTunes.
The iPhone will then need to be restored and you can choose from where to restore it from. It should pop up when you click restore with the option. If not then hold Control or Option on a Mac while you click Restore.
