Does all TTF fonts works in Unix environment for the Font Subseting of Oracle PDF Reports?

Absolutely. It's just that you'd probably using a different font (Type1 font) for formatting your report. However, you can still subset a TTF. Ensure that you have an appropriate entry in uifont.ali plus the .TTF file's path is added to REPORTS_PATH.
With latest Solaris version you may also install TTF and use it in your applications.

Have you ever work with a data-driven website in the past? If
so, what is specific data-driven app did you work with?
To get PHP working on your local machine, you need to install
PHP, MySQL and Apache web server all together. It is ideally
designed for local testing with your data-driven websites right
there on your local machine... once it is achieved, then, of course
you could upload the finished data-driven website over to your web
server for general public use or specific audience.
TO make this work, I suggest that you want to consider this
book called, "PHP for Dreamweaver 8," who authored by David Powers.
It is an excellent, excellent book. It covers many topics ranging
from setting up PHP, MySQL and Apache web servers and few other
important issues associated with installation of these apps on your
local machine (whether it is Windows XP-based or Macs), other
topics included how to build, develop and work with data-driven
websites and realize important issues that arise under those topics
discussed by the author.
As for installation of opensource applications (PHP, MySQL,
and Apache), it is a bit complicated, heavy-hand in order to make
it work. That is why I am recommending you to get this book.
I am curious, what Dreamweaver version you are working with?
And what system architecture?

These are bitmap x-server fonts (aka biznet fonts). They include aliases for standard x-server fonts (though they do not replace them) so you should see special iso8859-2 characters without doing anything else.

InDesign CS 5.5 (W7/64Bit) doesn't recognise a replaced TTF font

I have a strange problem here. I use certain ttf font for creating documents in office products as well as in Adobe Products like InDesign. Since there is a newer version of that font available, I uninstalled the older version in Windows -> Control Panel -> Fonts folder an installed the newer version of that font.
Now all office applications as well as some Adobe applications (PS, Illustrator) show the new font from the fonts menu. But InDesign refuses to deal with that font. InDesign still shows the old version. Therefore I checked the fonts folder of InDesign. But this one is empty. How can I convice InDesign to accept the new font?
Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

Guys, we made it!
Allthough there were no TTFs in the Adobe InDesign Font folder I found a Windows sub folder where the old version of the font was located with a ~ sign in its name. As I tried to delete this one, I got the message that it was in use. So after rebooting the system, I was able to delte this file. Then I deleted the InDesign font cache file and started InDesign and ... tada!!! .... it showed up correctly in InDesign. Thank you so much

My requirement is to Split an internal table into multiple tables and generate a PDF for each of them.Then I have to place these files on a unix server directory. How can I achieve this?
This seems like a very high level requirement description .Please let me know if the solution needs some more details.

Hi,
1) The logic for splitting a internal table into multiple tables should lie with you .
2) write each of the split internal table to spool and convert them to PDF using the FM 'CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF'. This has been discussed many times and you can find relevant threads by searching.
3) For storing the PDF in application server, use OPEN DATASET statement in binary mode and transfer the data. Even this has been discussed quite a few times before and you can search for relevant threads

Hi everyone,
We have various unix servers like ubantu, redhat and mandrake . each unix type have serveral machines around 50+ each.
I want to have one resource object for each server type
ex: ubantu, redhat, mandrake.
User will select on the server type and this will bring all itresources under this type.
Also when we install the connector it gives us one schedule task for group and user reconciliation. If i plan to have one RO for each of the server type what should I do to have one schedule task for each server type
How difficult it would be to implement this? any guidance on how to proceed with this?

Need utilities class for application server file system (i.e. unix etc)

I need to do things to directories and files on the application server.
Is there an SAP class with methods for the application server file system (i.e. unix or whatever) with functionality similiar to what is provided by the methods of CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES for the presentation server?
Is there a group of SAP functions for this task?

Requirement is if we put TEST* in the selection screen for the filename, it should read all the files which start with TEST from the default Unix path.

How do I install the Calendar Server for UNIX?

In order to install the Netscape Calendar Server for UNIX, please
follow these exact instructions:
o Login as "root".
o Create the group "dxoffice"
o Create the user "unison".
- Please make sure this user has a UID less than 60000.
- Please make it's primary group "dxoffice".
o Edit the /etc/services file and add the entries:
unieng 5730/tcp # Cal Server DB Daemon
unisnc 5731/tcp # Cal Server Real-Time Daemon
o Untar the calendar archive. It should install extract itself to
/users/unison/.
o Change directories to /users/unison/bin.
o Run ncsconfig.
After answering the questions to configure your server you can start
your server by running the command: "unistart".

I got again a total system freeze today when I wanted to launch firefox using only the openbox menu, without wbar running.
So I decided to try now the 'nouveau.noaccel=1' kernel command line parameter, and to use again wbar for my frequently used applis.

Hello there i am designing an application in java which is based on being a portable application of pdf converter. My design needs to have the ttf Fonts independently present in the application. Is there any way or agreement to buy the Microsoft ttf fonts
package for commercial use. This package should be independent of the being used only on the Microsoft Windows.
