TTG AutoViewer Gallery

From the beginning of my gallery work for the Lightroom Web module, I had always intended to create a template for Airtight Interactive's AutoViewer. Despite Adobe's having already released a template for Airtight Interactive's AutoViewer, and because a handful of users have requested a TTG version of the template, I've finally completed TTG AutoViewer Gallery.
Like all of my galleries, TTG AutoViewer Gallery comes in two flavors:
An HTML-based template that includes a header, ID plate, etc., and a stripped-down Flash-based template that previews properly in both Windows and Mac versions of LR.
The Flash-version resembles the Adobe release, but adds support for image watermarking -- a feature not found in the Adobe version. The HTML version supports all of the options found in the Flash version, and a great deal more.

Think I may have found an answer for Mel.
I was having the same problem as Mel, but only on my standalone PC (non-internet connected). In LR, the wooden background is visible, as is the help button, and the images can be moved around the screen but not double-clicked. Previewing the gallery seemed to generate the previews (active progress bars at top of screen) but IE did not open. Additionally, clicking on Preview again showed this error message, even though there were no active progress bars showing:
Tried reinstalling Flash 9 but no success. However, my internet-enabled laptop worked fine, albeit without the double-click working in the LR preview. Then I realised that my laptop uses Firefox as the default browser. I installed Firefox and the Flash plugin on my standalone PC and voila! The preview in browser option works perfectly! I can only assume this is a problem with IE or the Flash plugin for IE.
Additionally, I went back to the LR preview on the laptop and in desperation/annoyance, I started hammering the left-click button on the trackpad (work's laptop, ha!) and found that the zoom function DOES work - if you TRIPLE-click on a preview and do it REALLY fast (was using two hands, one finger not fast enough for me despite my video game addiction!)
Weird. Anyway, do like the gallery, as well as the Slimbox version. Thanks for these.
By the way, both machines run XP Pro, LR 1.1, Flash 9 and Firefox 2.0.0.6.

TTG HTML Gallery is pretty much what it sounds like: a new HTML gallery for Lightroom. It outputs valid XHTML and CSS, and a lot more customization options than the LR HTML gallery. It boasts thumbnail annotations, ratings, color labels and onImage Navigation among its many features.

TTG Selection Gallery 2.0 released

TTG Selection Gallery has been updated to 2.0. This is a major update and marks the gallery's transition to a Lua architecture. The gallery utilizes TTG Slimbox Gallery 2.24 as a foundation, and therefore exists in feature parity with that version, supporting annotations, color labels, ratings, ID plate, a wealth of customization options and more.
TTG Selection Gallery is constructed with the photographer-client relationship in mind. The gallery allows clients to mark selected photos, and to submit them with a message/comments to the photographer as an email form. Selections and then be easily isolated in the LR Library using by copying and pasting and selected filenames en masse into the Library's Find pane.
The gallery employs Slimbox, allowing clients to view large-size images in an overlay without disrupting their selections.

Ah ha! Now I understand your problem. You didn't delete the XML prog. For Slimbox to function properly in IE6, you need to edit the index.html file after export and delete the first line, ?xml version=1.0?. LR puts it in there, and it messes things up in IE6.

Remove it and things should be fine. You'll have to do this for each gallery that you export.

TTG MonoSlideshow Gallery

A heads up for Web module users: my next project, TTG MonoSlideshow Gallery, is now in a solid beta state, nearing public release.
The TTG MonoSlideshow Gallery template will, of course, be a free download. However, MonoSlideshow is not a free gallery. Users will be required to shell out the $19.95 to www.monoslideshow.com for the SWF file in order to use the gallery.

TTG MonoSlideshow Gallery 1.3 is released. In this version, Stage dimensions and background color are finally honored and displayed within the LR preview, and can be configured directly from the Site Info panel. There is no longer any need to choose or edit the MSSwrapper.swf file. All of this means that the gallery is easier than ever to configure from within the LR Web module, with improved visual response to changes.

Lightroom 2.2 :: Gallery Problems :: Mac OS 10.4.11 :: G5 Quad 7GB RAM

I am attempting to create a large client photo gallery using two Folders of images at one time. The Gallery Template has been customized and saved, taken from TTG SimpleViewer Gallery 1.6 BASIC. I see no progress bar either. Tried quitting and restarting. Also tried deleting my cache. Cache is set to 50GB.
Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Since posting I've made a little progress, but it's really still way too slow. I am creating a gallery from only one folder instead of two. The folder contains 229 RAW files. It looks like the gallery is being made based on the progress bar, but it's very slow.
Do you recommend I possibly increase my cache? And if so, what is a good number? Currently it's set to 50GB.

Airtight Gallery Not Displaying in Firefox

I am using Lightroom to generate the Autoview gallery from Airtight and the Lightroom export facility to drop it into my Dreamweaver defined site. The gallery works fine in Internet Explorer but does not display in Firefox. I have tried hardcoding the entire url and file structure string into the param name field of the object clause - didn't fix it. I'm using most if not all of the defaults for the Dreamweaver and Lightroom paramaters. I have found very few postings on this in any of the Adobe, Airtight, and Firefox forums I have checked. There were a few that referenced making sure that hot links were not turned on at the web service. In my case, they are not - that is not the problem. Can anyone offer any help?

I would check the differences between the version that targets IE browsers versus all other browsers since dreamweaver uses code that targets one or the other, and make sure they have the appropriate information for both. Next I would check the css for that area.

Web Gallery in Lightroom HELP

Ok, so I want to use Lightroom to create a web gallery, which is easy enough, but I would like to use a different design other than the ones provided with the software. The included templates are fine, but are a little boring and look a bit dated.
Are there any websites where I can download more templates for Lightroom that have a bit more snaz to them?

Granted, the page itself does not have a picture gallery but the flash transition that takes place when a picture within the article is clicked on is what I am going for with the webgallery that I am seeking to create.

Pete still doesn't ever include anything I make in his gallery list, even though I actually had the very first 3rd party gallery out for Lightroom many years ago. Anyway, only one of those links he gave will be of any use to you, and that's for The Turning Gate.

Embedded simpleviewer gallery in iWeb page

I've been doing a lot of research looking up on different sites and I've come up with a battle plan. I want to embed a simpleviewer gallery into my iweb page. Right now, I have a gallery set to open up in a separate window, and it's working fine. I'd either like to hide the address bar or embed the simpleviewer gallery right into the page, so instead of just the gallery opening up in its own webpage, the new page would include the rest of my links, and images. I think that an html snippet is the way to go, but I don't know how to obtain all the proper html to make it work. Does anybody know how to get it? iWeb's help section for html snippets is ironically incredibly unhelpful.

Exactly which parts do I need to edit? I have a basic understanding of html, but I don't know how to link the gallery files to my iWeb page. Also, the Simpleviewer code doesn't look anything like some people say it should. For example, http://www.rowan-cottage.co.uk/Site/SimpleViewer.html
Is this page not accurate? Is it dealing with an earlier version of Simpleviewer?

LR3 Web Gallery Sequence Numbering bug?

Anyone else getting this problem with sequence numbering in the web HTML templates? Basically, as you jump through photos the photo number is always stuck on #1, never changes when you go to the next photo - should go 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...
I just sent a bug report but, wondering if anyone else found a fix for this yet.
This is in LR3 on Mac - really trying to do this on TTG Highslide gallery but, same problem occurs in default Lightroom HTML gallery.

Concise problem statement:
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Go to Web Module
2. Choose default HTML Gallery
3. Under Image Info set Caption to Sequence
Results:
Sequence caption always shows 1/total images.
i.e. 1/10, 1/10, 1/10, 1/10
Expected results:
Sequence should increment current image number / total images as you click through images.
i.e. 1/10, 2/10, 3/10, 4/10

Yeah, still have the numbering problem using the Image Info sequence outputs.
But, if you use the standard Lightroom Flash Gallery it has it's own sequence numbering output (that does not use Image Info captions) and it does work correctly. These show up as 1/9, 2/9, 3/9 etc. on each photo down by the back/next buttons.
Also, the Cell Numbering does work when using the Lightroom HTML Gallery - though, those numbers only appear on the index page not on individual photos.
But, haven't seen a good work-around yet for sequence numbering in Image Info area. Only option there seems to be typing numbers manually into the caption. Or, if you need the caption for other info maybe use one of the IPTC fields like Headline to type in your numbers. You can then do a Custom Setting in web module to have those text fields show up with your photos.
Really hoping we will see a LR 3.1 sometime soon with a fix - should be an easy correction for Adobe.

Thing is that I want to use png images without background in autoviewer, I've tried everything all kinds of picture formats, alphas, gone through google, autoviewer forum.... but no answer how to do it. When I attach a picture in autoviewer galleryit...after it is still with white background in autoviewer flash!
Can enyone helpe with avice.

Importing gallery into Frontpage

Hey All,
I am new to this forum and also am not a programmer of any sort.
I was able to create a website for a friend of mine who is an artist. I want to have a slide show of his work on the first page of the site. Attempted to learn Flash, way too hard. Found LR and loved the ease of creating the website but now I just can't figure out how to get it into Frontpage.
I have read the other postings that have anything to do with Frontpage and they didn't seem to be as low level as I need.
Can I take this gallery and move it somehow to Frontpage and then upload it to my site? I want this slideshow to be in the middle of the first page not be a page of it's own.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

The default Flash gallery that ships with Lightroom is notoriously difficult to embed into a pre-existing page. And, if I may be so presumptuous, that you're using Frontpage to develop a website implies that your coding level is such that you're likely to have difficulty implementing the suggestions on the BlueFire blog.
A few suggestions:
1) Stop using Frontpage; it's awful. At the very least, use DreamWeaver. You might also try nVu (www.nvu.com). Better yet, use a text-editor to write your own code.
2) Employ one of the third-party web gallery modules available from my website,
The Turning Gate, or Joe Capra's site,
LightroomGalleries.com.
MonoSlideshow costs $19.95, but is probably your best choice for a home page slideshow. I have a Lightroom template for MonoSlideshow,
TTG MonoSlideshow Gallery, but you'll have to purchase the MonoSlideshow component in order to use it. Check my site for details and samples.
To place it into another page, just copy the relevant HTML from the gallery generated page and change the path to the SWF file.
