TTS Multilanguage usage issue

Hi
I have integrated Nuance voclizer for network with CVP (MRCP v1) and tested using en_us language pack. It is working fine. Now i have installed Hindi language pack when using this language i am get below error in CVP error log
".1387337392171.25.Test APP ,12/18/2013 09:00:18.030,A VoiceXML error occurred of type "error.unsupported.language": hi_IN"
Please help on below questions
1. Is there any restriction on language support from CVP side
2. Do we need any license in nuance to use multiple language in TTS
3. Do we need to do any configuration in TTS server to include multiple language

Never mind. Solved myself. Simple issue.
Watch out for table view properties. Should be unselectable. If not, then only auto-selected row will be used.

I am having a data excess usage issue with my Jetpack although I did not use the VZW network at all.

Background: My home does not have access to landline internet and I am relying on a Verizon Jetpack device rather than satellite cable for internet access. Within my JetPack wireless network I have several devices connected, iPADs, PC’s, printer, etc. (up to 5 devices can be connected with my system). Recently, I had one device within my immediate wireless network that I needed to transfer data via FTP to another local device within my immediate network. The receiving device FTP’d data from device (198.168.1.42) to local IP (address 192.168.1.2). To understand the data path a Trace rout for this transfer is 198.168.1.42 (source) to 198.168.1.1 (Jetpack) to 192.168.1.2 (receiver). Note that the VZW network ((cloud)/4G network) was NOT used in this transfer nor was any VZW bandwidth used for this transfer (of course less the typical overhead status/maintenance communications that happen regardless). Use of the VZW bandwidth would be something like downloading a movie from Netflix, (transferring data from a remote site, through the VZW network, into the Jetpack and to the target device). I also understand if ones devices have auto SW updates that would also go against the usage as well. I get that. My understanding of my usage billing is based data transfer across the VZW network.
Now to the problem: To my surprise I was quite substantially charged for the “internal” direct transfer of this data although I didn’t use the VZW network at all. This does not seem to be right, and doesn’t make much sense to me. Usage is should be based on the VZW network not a local Wi-Fi. In this case, Verizon actually gets free money from me without any use of or impact to the VZW network. Basically this is a VERY expensive rental for the jetpack device, which I bought anyway. Considering this, I am also charged each time I print locally. Dive into this further, I am also interested in knowing what is the overhead (non-data) communications between the jetpack router and devices and how much does that add up to over time?
Once I realized I was getting socked in bandwidth, as a temp solution I found an old Wi-Fi router, created a separate Wi-Fi network off the Jetpack, but the billing damage was already done. Switching each device back and forth to FTP and print is a hassle and there should be no reason the existing hardware couldn’t handle this and charges aligned with VSW usage. Is purposely intended by Verizon? Is this charging correct? And can I get some help with this?
Logically, usage should be based on VZW network usage not internal transfers. All transfers between IP addresses 192.168 are by default internal. Any data that needs to leave the internal network are translated in to the dynamic IP addresses established by the VZW network. That should be very easily detected for usage. In the very least, this fact needs to be clearly identified and clarified to users of the Jetpack. How would one use a local network and not get socked with usage charges? Can one set up a Wi-Fi network with another router, hardwire directly from the router to the Jetpack so that only data to and from the VZW network is billed? I might be able to figure out how to have the jetpack powered on but disable the VZW connection, but I don’t want to experiment and find out that the internal transfers are being logged and the log sent after the fact anyway once I connect…. A reasonable solution should be that users be able to use the router functions of the Jetpack (since one has to buy the device anyway) and only be billed for VZW usage.

i do not have a backup of it, so i am thinking about replacing my old hard drive from the water damaged into this one, not even sure if that would work, but it did not seem to be damaged, as i recovered all the files i wanted off of it to put onto this mbp
the previous owner didnt have it set to boot, they had all their settings left on it and tried to edit all the names on it, had a bunch of server info and printers etc crap on it. i do not believe he edited the terminal system though--he doesnt seem to terribly bright(if thats possible)

[problem is i do not want to start from scratch if there is a chance of fixing it, this one did not come with disks or anything like my first. so i dont even know if i could, and how it sets now i am basically starting from scratch, because now all my apps are reset but working, i am hoping to get my data back somehow though, i lost all of my bookmarks and editing all my apps and setting again would be a pain

Memory Usage Issue - T400

Hello,
I got my T400 in this morning and facing a small issue with the memory usage. I ordered the laptop with Windows Vista Biz. 64bit
The memory usage at the start up is above 1.3GB. Is that normal?
I am using a desktop PC where the memory usage did not hit 900MB (I am using Windows Vista Ult. 64bit).

Hi, everyone
I got a new t440p 20ANA00UHH (8GB RAM, win8 64bits) about one week ago. It works really well, but its memory usage confused me. In Task Manager, the "Performance" option shows memory is 68% (5.4G in use), but "Users" option shows memory usage 66% (1019.5M in use). Is that normal ? I just opened some websites and word files.

IPhone 5 Battery & Data usage issues

Here's my journey.
I had the iPhone 5 from the day it was realeased. Was with Vodafone Australia. Phone was awesome. Coverage was an issue, so decided to swap to Telstra recently. Got new iPhone 5 with the change over.
From the beginning, the new Iphone on Telstra, the battery was draining completely in less than 3 hours. Looked at the support communities and spoke to Apple. I made the mistake of setting the phone up from a "BackUp". They suggested setting it up as a "new phone" in iTunes.
Did that - phone had been awesome until 4 days ago when I decided to "Update All" of the pending App updates. After all was downloaded the phone returned to its draining self, also becomign VERY VERY HOT when charging. Warmer than normal. Also got a SMS from Telstra to say I have used 82% of my download entitlement. With 22 days remaining!!!! Something wasnt right, not only was it using the battery life, cellular data usage was being drained also.
Spoke to Apple, they told me I would need to do a process of elimination to find the "corrupt" app that was draining the Battery & Data.
I deleted every single App I had on the phone, yet it made no difference. I started to monitor the cellular data recieved on the phone. With no apps and nothing running, how is there data and battery being drained.
Decided yesterday to"RESTORE" iPhone once again. Set up as a new phone. I had loaded my email settings, but nothing else. I hadnt even provided my Apple ID infomation so the App Store wasnt logged in. Phone was still not right. Played with some settings, decided to turn my "Exchange" email from "PUSH" to "Manually Fetch". After this, the phone was back to normal. No cellular data being downloaded and battery OK. Turned Exchanged back to PUSH, then the battery decides to trickle away again.
After all this ********, I have narrowed it down to the way my exhcnage server checks for new messages. I have ALWAYS had my Exchange server PUSH emails to me. Why with this phone, on 6.1 should I have to have it to Manually check for emails.
I get the feeling from conversations with other people, there seems to be alot of unknown data usage which Apple need to make a priority in preventing. This is costing consumers time and money.
Curious if anyone else has had same issue?

The issue is pretty broad. I see posts all over the internet on iphone 5. I use the phone on 2 continents and both places have the issue. Therefore, it is not a network issue, it's an Apple issue. I use pccw in Hong Kong and AT&T in the US. I have isolated the issue to the phone sending data, massive amounts of data, all on it's own. At first I tried turning everything off like icloud, itunes, passbook, all downloads, etc. Eventually, I shut everything off other than cellular data. The phone will be fine for some amount of time then it randomly begins sending data. It can send 100mb an hour, with nothing on at all. You can view your send data under settings> general> usage> Cellular usage. I went as far as taking screen shots every minute and watched it sending massive amounts of data. Here they are, just a sample. Apple's suggestion on chat is to turn data off or put it on airplane mode.... quite frustrating since those are the two reasons you buy a smart phone to begin with... I'm hoping there is a solution other than not to use the phone.

Video app usage issues since ios 8 update

I use my iPad Air (as well as iPad mini, iPhone 5 and iPhone 6) to watch videos I have purchased through iTunes, streaming them. They used to download onto the device as I watched them so I could delete them. Since the update, I am able to watch these movies/TV shows, but they do not download to my device. They are, however, taking up space in "usage," though I cannot get to them to delete. (It is showing I have videos in Settings > General > About. But when I go to Settings > General > Usage, there are no videos showing.) I have to download them individually to the device in order to then delete them.
I have contacted support numerous times, even being instructed to completely resetting the device THREE times. They have transferred me numerous times to different "Supervisors" only to get more run around. I have spoken to people on the phone, being told an engineer would contact me. That was nearly a week ago, and NO ONE has contacted me.
The issue seems to be with streaming my iTunes content since the update. I don't know what else to do.

My iPhone 6 is acting weird on charging. It started when using an external power battery. No charging with it. Then I tried the Apple charger and cable. No way. Battery went off. iPhone shut down. I tried a recovery. It seemed all was ok again. After hours restoring my backup. Then I tried another external battery. Again the same situation. So it seems that Apple did some software barriers to avoid third party batteries.
Before ios 8.3 at least there was a warning about not supported chargers. Now it the worst situation, as one has to recover the whole system.
Contacting Apple care tomorrow....let's see.

Force mpd to play at 41000 sample rate (high CPU usage issue)

Playing a mp3 file with mpd causes high cpu usage but mplayer plays it without significant cpu usage.
Googling has brought be to the inference that its the issue of mpd playing with different settings (ie at higher sample_rate).
I added .asoundrc but then also mpd is not respecting it.
Basically, I want to play mpd with the same settings as mplayer plays.

Really bizzare root "/" space usage issue....

I'll start by apologizing in advance....
Now that I have done that I can hopefully proceed without ticking off anyone...
I have Arch 0.7 installed and Kde which I just downloaded and installed last night. Everything is running well, no issues there.
My issue is with the space taken up by root "/". During the partitioning process I had assigned it a generous ( I thought ) 1GB. /Var has 7Gb, /usr has 9Gb, the swap is 734MB and /home is 30Gb. So far so good.
For some strange reason when I run hwd -y the usage indicator for root "/" is 65% used. That strikes me as a hell of a lot of space for root to use, especially if just Arch and KDE are on the system, at least I would think so.
I have had a wonderful time looking through the wiki and googleing over this issue and learned a lot of new and interesting things, but not why this is happening. :x
du and df have helped a bit and /var/log has about 30 MB of log messages
so it is not there. /tmp has virtually no usage 1 MB total or so.
I have also done pacman -Scc as well, however I am still at 65% usage.
Now it is entirely possible that I don't fully understand WHAT this truly means, but I do know I don't want to fill up the root filesystem. Should I e ven be worried?
Any assistance, ideas, RTFM comments are welcome...

proc does not report space properly with du. As many of the things in proc are virtual...It is possible that hwd -y is improperly reporting it..dunno.
try "df -h" to get a better result.
EDIT: Good point dusty, might be /opt being a problem too.

IOS7 help - usage issue!

I have a problem. Ever since I updated to iOS7, 'MESSAGES' is now on usage. Where did that come from!? I think this is taking up the most space! But after I saw this, I deleted ALL OF MY MESSAGES and I go back to usage again, and it STILL says 7.9GB. WHAT IS GOING ON???

Hello! I spoke to a guy working at Apple today for hours and he didn't really know what was causing this issue. He made me delete my messages several times (with airplane mode too) and made me reset my phone, but the messages somehow still came back! Even after I deleted my messages and backed up and then restored my phone again, the messages still somehow came back again! So finally, he told me that he thinks it might be a hardware/software issue or something? I forgot what he said, sorry . He said that restoring backup is not doing anything either and that there's probably a problem with that too. So he made me restore my whole iphone and set it up as a new phone which I just did right now and the message issue has gone. I'm going to have to re-install my apps though but that doesn't bother me. Atleast this weird issue has gone now and hopefully it doesn't come back! Good luck!

Perfomance/memory usage issues running LR 3.3 on 32 bit Win XP

I'm using LR 3.x for some time now, at the moment my version is LR 3.3. My machine is set up with a 3.6 GHz core 2 duo cpu, 4 GB of RAM and four samsung spinpoint hdd. LR 3.3 runs on Windows XP SP3 32 bit OS, usable memory is 3,25 GB. At HDD 2 LR is installed, at HDD 3 library is located, at HDD 4 LR cache (20 GB) is located. I use one "big" library with around 20.000 raw images. I use 1:1 preview and deactivated deleting preview.
I noticed that LR is working slow after some time of working on raw images. Tools are lagging, rendering takes very long and sometimes I get the error message that not enough virtual memory is available anymore. Also in task manager I noticed a continuos increase of memory usage, starting around 800 MB, ending up - I can't work anymore - around 3,00 GB. Memory usage never lowers.
Do you have any information how to solve this perfomance/memory issues? Thanks and best regards from Germany.

Memory usage issue

I have a Macbook Air (mid 2013, 4gb memory, 128gb storage) and I'm running OSX 10.8.5 mountain lion.
My issue is that the free memory is always low, even when starting up the computer:
When I start up the computer, with nothing yet opened (note: I only have the iTunes Helper in the Login Items) the memory settles on 1.35 gb.
When I open Safari alone, memory immediately goes down to around 1.1gb. Granted, the more tabs I open in safari, the more it decreases.
After a little while, I close Safari, and the memory settles on max 2.2gb.
And often, after idleness, with no apps open, memory just decreases to about 940mb or less. Once it does, opening an app continues to drag it down, many times to double digits. I use the app "Memory Clean" on my menu bar to immediately clear up some of it.
I'm typically operating, from startup everytime, on about 1.3gb of memory, except for when it drops excessively. Why is it so relatively low when I have 4GB total? There should be about 3GB available when no apps are opened, at least on startup. Why is the computer using up so much memory when I have no real startup apps (aside iTunes Helper, and Avast, the latter not showing up in Login Items) and no third party apps?
I've checked the Activity Monitor, and on the list of processes, Safari web content (when Safari's used) is often the one in the list taking up the most memory, normally around 250mb, but sometimes high up to 720mb. "Kernel_task" usually comes in second with around 3.5% CPU, 300 mb. "mds" in third with about 85 mb. (Avast 4th with 70mb). What are the Kernel and mds processes about? can/should they be ended to free up CPU or are they system processes?
One last point: is there any use or harm in the Empty Caches fucntion of Safari? Is this the equivalent of empty internet files/history/cookies in Internet Explorer? I've clicked it and then quit Safari and it seemed to not increse memory at all.

Mavericks uses RAM much more efficiently than any other previous version of OS X. Mavericks now has a memory compression feature that will compress the memory occupied by applications that aren't being actively used and give the freed up RAM to the application that needs it the most.

Multiple Bluetooth Usage issues

I'm finding Stereo Bluetooth very unreliable and at some points rather irritating. My issues are related to playing music using iTunes to my car stereo.
Connection: (A) When I stop my car, iTunes does not detect that the Bluetooth link dropped. It keeps playing. (B) Whether I pause music before or after turning off the car, it never remembers where it left off. I always have to navigate back to the song. (C) Some of the time when I turn the car back on, it will not connect and begins playing music out of the built in speakers of the iPhone at the volume level remembered when I last had the 1/8" jack plugged in. (D) When it fails to connect there is no way to easily start a re-connection. My only discovered method thus far to force a reconnect is to turn off my car and turn it back on. Very annoying.
Streaming: I seem to have to power cycle the iPhone every time I want to use stereo Bluetooth. If I have run other applications, it seems like there are processes running that interrupt the bluetooth streaming causing the music to break up. It's like the Bluetooth process is at too low of a priority over other processes to work reliably.
I hope this is helpful information for the improvement of the Bluetooth stereo streaming function.

Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the sending device. Do not skip the "Receive Using BT" step on the receiving BB...nothing will transfer if you do.

Windows 7 Bootcamp CPU Usage issue

I just newly installed Windows 7 bootcamp on my MacBook Pro (2010). The installtion ran smoothly. But there seems to be a problem for me. The bootup time from being on to off or vice versa is 7 seconds flat.
And when I play games, my CPU usage would shoot up into the 80%-100%s making my screen freeze every 2 minutes, and typing anything onto a screen would take 2 seconds for my computer to compute.
Note: This was not the first time i install windows 7. The first time I did it, everything ran so smooth and fast. the bootup time would be at 2 seconds flat. no freezes when I play games or open anything up. How could I fix this?

I have an update so I thought I would share in case any other users are experiencing a similar problem.
I made an appointment with the Genius Bar at the Apple Store.
I went in and they ran a thorough diagnostic check on my Macbook Air and determined that the sensors were indeed faulty - several were providing no information "No reading" instead of providing a temperature. Thus, the Air was unaware of the temperature across multiple components.
Despite the laptop being outside the 12 Month Manufacturer Warranty, the Apple Store determined that it was covered under warranty through Australian Consumer Law - the laptop is now in for a complete repair under warranty at no cost to myself.
I couldn't be happier.

PFCG_ORGFIELD_CREATE : post usage issues

Hi,
i used PFCG_ORGFIELD_CREATE to convert one field CO-OM Responsibility area (RESPAREA) to Org Level. and yes field do show up in USORG table also.
executed, it showed list of roles, which are effected
now when i open roles to generate, it is showing that org field in display mode in 'organization levels' button and when i click on change button in front of it, get error 'Authorization object is invalid'.
and i have to use /nex in another session to close this session also.
strange.... not sure what to do
please advice

it's right the solution for CO-OM issue is the above note or the answer given in the other thread.
Additionaly I would urgently suggest to implement note 1502568. Only on that way, you will have change documents for the SU24 and the Activity groups.

SPM Detailed Role level Reports don't show and other minor usage issues

We have successfully installed SPM on our DEV and QA boxes and are trying to test our reporting. We have setup role based firefighter and have got it to work on the ABAP side as well as on the Java side. However, when I go to the Role Reports in the web UI for SPM, and I run the Log Report, I have a problem.
The Log Report pulls the role firefighter data from the backend and displays it. There is an icon at the top right called "Display Detailed Reports", and upon clicking it, it tells me there's no match or conflict found.
However if I go into the firefighter tcode and then look at the same logs, there is a little more detail which I'd have expected to see in the web based detail report.
Do you know what I'm missing? I already checked the trace for any auth failures, and there is no auth failure.

Which traces have you run? I have a few similar issues which may benefit from running a trace.
The only other authorisations I would check is that the RFC / Connector user has the authorisations to be full logs in both the backend and web versions.

Massive Stability/Usage Issues With New Update [1.0.9.113] on Mac

Hello! So I'm new here, but a longtime Spotify user. Honestly, I have been left unimpressed and in fact quite annoyed with recent updates. Today, however, marked the first update that has rendered Spotify essentially useless on my Mac. Beyond features, this new app struggles to play a single song... on an app... designed solely for playing songs. The track length (thing at the bottom showing current place in the song) is behind by *minutes* in some songs. The play/pause button lags by about 10-25 seconds between pressing the button/spacebar and getting a response. Moving songs between playlists by clicking and dragging has become very difficult because of lagging. Just overall, a much less stable app has replaced an at least mostly stable, usable one on my computer. Is there something I'm missing? Or something I need to do, or just hold out until a new update and hope that the stability issues are resolved?

Which version of OS X are you running?
The latest Spotify version 1.0.9 works great for me.
Usually when there are problems like this, a clean reinstall of Spotify can fix the problem.
