TTY/TDD Setting on Lumia 520

I have a Lumia 520 and i have a setting labled TTY/TDD it says on or off.please can you tell what this is.Do i turn it on or off

Its used by individuals who may have deafness, other hearing difficulties, or speech disabilities.

    I had the same problem with a feature. It showed share instead of update and I knew there was an update out there. 
    I turned my phone all the way off, let it sit for a minute of so and turned it back on. The update then showed up with the updater.

    I have updated my lumia 520. After it there is regular fluctuation in my internet connection even my data setting is on and battery is also discharging quickly after update.

    have you checked that you are up to date with all the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? also try performing a soft reset, and check your Network+ and Access Point settings in the Settings.

  • Lumia 520 SMS disappeared!!!!

    i bought nokia lumia 520 for about 1 month. the text messages disappear automatically！！！
    right now, the only text message is the acknowledgement message from the mobile operator saying i've delivered the message. that's the only message that can exist in my phone for more than one day. other text messages i sent yesterday, the day before yesterday or even earlier all disappeared!!! i didn't delete them but they just disappeared into nowhere!!!
    i already asked my carrier. the representative also uses the same carrier but with an android phone. he said his messages stayed as long as he wanted.
    i checked all discussion board both in nokia and microsoft. so far nothing really talks about my situation....

  • Dolby audio settings for Lumia 520

    As every nokia Lumia windows phone 8 device has a Dolby audio settings with a equalizer in the settings menu, there are presets and a
    custom one. This is not available in Lumia 520. This is utter discrimination,just because it is a low end Lumia device. If Nokia didn't want to give us Dolby audio settings, then why show a audio menu like in other devices and when we open its blank. This is teasing us. They shouldn't have put the audio settings in the settings menu for Lumia 520. Firmware. This is very bad nokia. Either update the firmware by removing audio from the settings or just give Lumia 520 users a equalizer. All the devices have the same chipset 520,720,620. A qualcom msm8227 with 2 krait cores and same adreno 305 gpu. But 520 doesn't have the equalizer , the other devices do have it. I expect a. Prompt reply. Nokia.

    I am so disappointed with the way this lumia 520 turned out to be. There is no speed dial function, when even typing the numbers you have to type it,fully without the phone giving suggestions. There is no means to go forwards when using internet explorer, and you cannot set personal ringtones unless you use a computer or an app that does that. It is so messed up and uncool. I just hope all these are corrected in the amber update, speaking of which we don't even know when it would be released.

  • Brightness Slider for Lumia 520 with cyan?

    I officially updated my Lumia 520 to cyan and was searching for Brightness & Tint slider. Where is the Brightness & Tint slider under display setting? Has it been properly updated or I missed out something? I saw this feature in Lumia 630 which was running cyan update.

    Thank you for your reply, as you mentioned  I checked under Settings > Display and I got 3 option under it, Sunlight readability, Battery saver brightness, and Colour profile, under Colour profile > Colour temperature & Colour saturation Sliders. My all system apps are up to date including display app, but I am not getting Brightness profile and tint option under it. Is the brightness profile option available to Lumia 520? If yes then why my lumia 520 doesn't show it? I have attached my Lumia 520 display setting screenshots, just have a look.

  • "grouped list mode" in Lumia 520 is showing strang...

    I am newcomer to WP8, using Nokia Lumia 520. As a Bulgarian (Cyrillic alphabet) i setup my phone to my native language - Bulgarian.
    It is very annoying when I found, that "grouped list mode" or "jumplist" (not shure for correct name) is shownig not Bulgarian letters.
    Is that fixable? Or someone decided to use one major setting for all Cyrillic characters (Bulgarian, Serbian, Russian and etc.)!!!
    it is very irritating to see this nonsence.
    And also there are missing letters for Bulgarian alphabet. What a shame.
    And i am adding a snapshot from HTC Windows Phone 8S with the same regional and language settings like Lumia 520. Find the differences........

  • Unsupported File Format (nokia lumia 520)

    My Nokia Lumia 520 will not post pictures to social networks, transfer them to my computer, set them as my lock screen or even edit them. I purchased the phone only a couple of months ago and it was working perfectly, but then it would just come up with 'Unsupported File Format' when i tried to do anything with them. I did a full system reset, but the problem remained and I don't know what to do. I still have warranty on it and don't know wether swapping it would do any good. Please help!

    Are you still having the same issue? If so, have you tried the suggestion given by nj15? Did you reset it by going to Settings > About > Reset your phone? Are all the pictures taken from your phone's camera or came from other sources?

  • Lumia 520 wifi

    I've searched for the issue but haven't found anything.My 520 connects to my home wifi and works great but will sometimes act like it has no connection to the wifi at all.I'll check the wifi settings and it'll show its fully connected to it but i have to turn the wifi off and then back on for it to start working again.If i'm missing something maybe a certain router setting for example i'd appreciate any help!!!

    I just got my lumia 520 and it cant connect to my my homenetwork wifi....my other android phone connect with no problem...i already reset my phone and restrt my router but still does not working...my sister and friend are having the same pronlem with their lumia 520

    i am a new owner of lumia 520 , i have problem on store connectivity. when i am download/update/installation of any apps will load error massage is we can't connect to the microsoft at the moment. Please could someone put me out of my misery and tell me where I'm going wrong..

    It could be one of many things. There could be a problem with your internet connection, your microsoft account may not be set up properly, the regional settings may not be right etc etc. 
    To tell you what you may have done wrong, perhaps you could start by telling us what you have done.

     hi i'm wondering if what is the total actual pixel of nokia lumia 520, because in all phone specs of lumia 520 it said that it has a 5 megapixel, so i'm wondering why my lumia 520 is only getting a 3.7 actual megapixel and my all pictures resolution is only 2592 x 1456.

    That's because you probably have your camera set to 16:9. Set it to 4:3 and you will get 2592 x 1936 pixels

    Hi, i have to questions about operating the lumia 520: on the second screen where all the apps are listed , suddenly the apps are shown with the starting letter above them, how can i switch that off? when i fisrt started the phone the apps werent devided, i had only the magnifying glass with whon i could search.Now when i am tapping on a letter i get all letters shown on the screen.
    #i have linked my facebook acount to the messages thead and i can not send pictures or file or videos on the chat, jsut the location.can i do something about that so i can send pictures in the cahat?

    To partly answer your query.. once the No. of Items in the 'Applications' list exceeds 40 it will start showing up the Starting letters. Once auto enabled there is no setting to disable it except Resetting the device. But why do you want it to be removed ? Once you get used to it, its very convenient to search an item quickly ..

  • Transfer word documents from Lumia 520 to mac?

    Is there an app to transfer word documents composed on the lumia 520 in office to mac?
    I only see apps for enabling photo/video and music transfers from 520 to mac.
    I've been to the mac app store and don't see an app to transfer word documents from windows phone to mac.
