Tune issue

I recently installed itunes, and successfully synced my ipad; now i am having issues downloading and syncing my ipad.  I receive the following message "invalid address." Need help.

Do you currently have a credit card set up in your iTunes store Enter Payment Information screen?
If so, grab a recent statement for that card and check to make sure that the address that shows up in your Enter Payment Information screenexactly matches the address showing on your credit card statement. For example, if your address in the credit card statement says "Street", the iTunes screen has to also say "Street" (Not St or Str.) Also match the capitalisation of the address on your statement. (If it says STREET in the statement make it say STREET in the iTunes screen, not Street or street.)
Also make sure that your name in the iTunes screen exactly matches the one in your statement. (Say, if you've got a middle initial in the credit card statement name, you need one in the iTunes screen.)
After doing that, does that get you past the invalid address thing?
If not, there's some additional suggestions in the following post:

  • HP IQ526 TV Tuner Issues

For those trying to use the built in PCI Digital TV Tuner in your TouchSmart, there are a few issues.
First, you need to download the Vista SP2 upgrade to get very far, second if you are trying to follow the instructions you received with your purchase on capturing digital channels, there is a problem with the Windows Media Center software that 'hunts for channels'.
After 3 hours and not finding a single channel over my carriers cable network, it was clear the instructions for tuning 'Clear QAM' dont work. Here is what you need to do:
First, find another TV in the house that has a QAM tuner in it, that can capture your providers digital line up. Write down the digital frequency for the specific channels, walk it over to the IQ526. Bring up Windows Media Center, find 'Tasks', then 'Settings', then 'TV Setup', then 'Guide'.  Select 'Add More Channels',
and start entering in the digital frequency for your channels (like 130.2).
You may also need to attenuate your signal... my signal is pretty hot, and the tuner will pixilate like crazy if you dont.  I found 16db was a sweet spot.

Is this assuming you've selected "antenna" and then "digital" when initialy setting up your tuner in WMC? So ... if you selected set-top box/cable and then went through the process you don't get local HD? And if you select Antenna -> Digital -> and manually input the frequency, then you get HD from your local cable? If so, then this is a pretty cool tip... Thanks!

  • ITunes 7.1 + Air Tunes Issue

    Hi!
I just upgraded to 7.1 today and have been having issues with air tunes. For some reason when playing songs they will drop out continuously every so many seconds (usually between 30-50).
I am not doing anything different than normal, I'm not running any huge programs like photoshop while this error is occuring.
As anyone else been having this issue?

I've had choppy playback so much I could puke.
One reason seems to be if memory is filling up. See Activity Monitor and if the green part of memory is going away, that's one reason. Seems the only solution is to reboot as quitting all programs doesn't bring back any green and doesn't solve skipping problems.
Another reason is some other activity. If you're scrolling fast or crunching pixels in Photoshop, that could cause skips in the moment. It shouldn't, but it happens to me, and has been happening for a year or two.
But I think this latest release has some problem. Suddenly there's lots of threads talking about it. ANd I have it skipping with 3gigs of free ram free, and only Safari showing a simple page running on it.
The first song after I reboot, plays ok, but then it stutters, like fifty or a hundred periods of silence per song, scattered around randomly, each 0.1 to 1 second long. All songs finish, if you call that finishing, and they seem to take the correct amount of time to finish.
Maddening. iTunes is my stereo now!! will I have to go back to the old CD player?

  • B510 TV Tuner Issues

I need help with using the tv tuner. I have it correctly connected to satellite receiver box with the coaxial cable. Then I have the IR cable plugged in to the mic jack and the antenae placed on the front of the receiver.
Running the setup it is still saying unable to determine tv signal.
Is there anything else that has to be connected?

Are you running Windows 7 and using the Windows Media Center to view the TV signal?   I'd skip using the IR remote and sensor for now; get the media center to view the TV signal first.  If you're connecting the coax cable from the Satellite receiver  box to the TV tuner card,  have you checked the settings on the Satellite receiver box and is that how you currently have your  TV connected to the Satellite receiver box?  I think some people have their TV's connected to the Satellite receiver box using RCA cables or other connectors.

  • Many it tunes issues remain.

I was hoping with the release of the new version of iTunes that many of the old issues would be resolved but they have not.  Here are those I have discovered over the last few days which began to appear with iTunes 11 and are not apart of iTunes 12:
When a podcast episode is complete, iTunes jumps to a random podcast and plays a random episode. Counter intuitively, you have to manually set iTunes to shuffle to prevent it from shuffling.
Previously, when deleting a podcast episode, a dialog box would pop up asking if I wanted to delete the episode but keep it on my hard drive or delete the episode and move it to the recycle bin.  ITunes no longer provides the option.
Random podcasts begin to download old episodes from the cloud.  Sometimes all old episodes, at other times it’s only the last handful.  You never know.
Some podcasts do not update at all.
Some podcasts will randomly show all the episodes available for a particular podcast on iCloud.
Please fix your issues instead of giving your product a cosmetic make over.  The energy you put into it could be better well spent than putting lipstick on a pig.

    Think cockup over conspiracy.
See Re: Why did iTunes 11.1 (126) delete all (SEVERAL HUNDRED) Podcasts?
My guess is that you are suffering from at least some of the same issues where your preferences may have been inadvertently changed for one reason or another.
See also  Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy.
Under Edit > Preferences > Advanced click Reset Warnings to make sure you get prompted when you delete files. If iTunes still doesn't offer the option to leave the originals alone when you remove from iTunes then they've fully embraced the cloud for podcasts and assume you can always get them again from the source. Irritating since I subscribe to a few where episodes are only ever up for a week.

  • Silly? User quick change and I-tunes issue

Well as I read all of the posts I feel gratified that I have not experienced all of the problems that seem to abound. My question seems silly by comparison.
I had a Powerbook Pro (G3 upgraded to G4) that would allow me to start Itunes playing in one user profile and then when I switched to another profile (personal to work) it would continue playing the music. Very nice for accessing the i-tunes library while at work. Now with my MBP I start the music and when I swith profiles music goes bye bye. Anyone have any suggestions or answers?
    Thanks
    David

    Caroni,
    This is what I do:
    1) Put itunes folder in "Shared" folder
    2) In both accounts, in the "Music" folder, place a short cut to the iTunes folder you just moved (make sure the original iTunes folder is not in the Music folder if you copied the iTunes folder to the Shared folder). You may need to fiddle with the permissions so that all accounts can read/write to the library files
However, if you switch user accounts while itunes is playing, the other account will not be able to access the library. To remedy this problem, follow this MacOSXhint:
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20061212090013611&query=winswitch
It works like a freakin charm!!!! I used to get so annoyed that I would have to go back to the other account and quit iTunes and then go back to my account....not anymore.

After the import , the application users are complainig about the slow performance from the application end.And why should 2 different databases exhibit the same performance? I fail to see any logic in that assumption.
Not disputing that performance is slower in comparison. But you can absolutely not use the older/previous database as a benchmark of what the performance should be on the new database. There are simply too many differences in order for the old db to serve as a performanve baseline for the new.
Moreimportantly , we have received ORA-04030: out of process memory when trying to allocate 64528 bytes (sort subheap, sort key)
The Windows 2003 server has 4 GB or RAM and i have already recommended the IT Team to incarease the RAM of the server upto 12GB. 32bit or 64bit? 32bit Windows uses a bit of a hack to address more physical RAM than what a physical 32bit memory address allows. It is not "as good" as native 64bit addressing.
Also, I would question Microsoft's strength in this arena - as 64bit Windows is an exception in the server and db environment. Unix/Linux is the rule otoh. Personally I would be a lot more comfortable using Linux on servers with large RAM (we use 32GB RAM per server node on a large Linux RAC cluster). It also enables options such as huge pages to to be used - as a large increase in memory means more virtual pages to handle. And this in itself can cause a performance knock not experienced with smaller memory footprints. Huge pages decreases the number of virtual pages by increasing vitual page size - allowing for the same relative performance with bigger memory footprints as the page numbers are not drastically increased.

  • [tuner card] cx88 alsa buffer under-run (on xc4000)

I'm having really weird bug and I don't know where should I look for help.
I own Leadtek WinFast DTV2000 H Plus card with Conexant CX2388x PCI bridge and Xcieve XC4000 tuner.
I'm using it with mplayer to watch analog cable tv. I'm suffering from buffer underrun caused by alsa driver (cx88_alsa). What's more interesting it's occurring more often when I'm watching channels only on specific frequencies (mostly high). The side effect of this is that mplayer (also mplayer2) has a memory leak which causes to drop frames after aprox. 10 minutes.
When I'm having underruns dmesg shows something like this:
    May 26 11:26:12 localhost kernel: [81922.660861] cx88[0]: irq aud [0x1101] dn_risci1* dnf_of dn_sync*

    May 26 11:26:19 localhost kernel: [81929.550115] cx88[0]: irq aud [0x1101] dn_risci1* dnf_of dn_sync*
    May 26 11:26:22 localhost kernel: [81932.245248] cx88[0]: irq aud [0x1101] dn_risci1* dnf_of dn_sync*
    May 26 11:26:25 localhost kernel: [81935.341748] cx88[0]: irq aud [0x1001] dn_risci1* dn_sync*
    May 26 11:26:25 localhost kernel: [81935.352431] cx88[0]: irq aud [0x1101] dn_risci1* dnf_of dn_sync*
    May 26 11:26:25 localhost kernel: [81935.352440] cx88[0]: irq aud [0x1001] dn_risci1* dn_sync*
I've figured a simple workaround but it's causing sound stuttering on high frequencies (because of more buffer underruns). Disable audio in mplayer and run:
    sox -t alsa hw:1,0 -t alsa hw:0,0
I've found similar problem but no one has found a soultion: http://www.digipedia.pl/usenet/thread/17087/5974/
I've tried also applying workaround from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/836062 post #5 but it doesn't work.
I really don't know where should I report this bug. Any help will be really appreciated.

    Hi mate,
Just to let you know you are not alone. I have the same issue with Leadtek WinFast DTV2000 H (rev. J) card. It's card=82 on the cx88 driver support list on v4l site.
I'm seeing the same messages on Mythbuntu Lucid 10.04 I just noticed it today troubleshooting some tunning issue. I found some other people having same issue dating from 2007 and 2009 with some other cards too, not sure if the same driver though.

Some of them solved their issue by unloading the cards ALSA driver cx88_alsa but not sure if that is a good idea since that module is used by snd_pcm and will probably have audio impact.

I'm using this card on MythTV setup for watching and recording DVB-T TV and can't say I've noticed any sound issues during playback. But what I've noticed is that the card can't tune some DVB channels here in Australia after I upgraded to MythTV 0.25 and Mythbuntu 10.04.
If you ask me this issue should go to the v4l list since I think is driver related.
    Cheers,
    Igor

  • Performance Tunning in oracle 11g

    Hi everybody,
My oracle version is 11.2.0.2 and OS :RHEL 5.5;64 bit each.As far i know,in 11g most tunning issues are handled by oracle itself. But still there are many issues that a dba should consider.Recently my system begin to response slowly, and i need to investigate the reason and come up with the solution as per management instruction. But i am confuse where and how to start...??
So..my request to experience people pls give some guidance what are issues/tools i would start with??
Another think...i m using toad 9.5,32 bit.Is it possioble to get proper message for 11g incase of generating different tunning reports.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Will I need to buy a digital tuner if I buy a blu ray player?

I was looking at the blu ray DVD players and noticed that some came with a digital tuner and some without. Will I have to buy it separate if it does not come with one or will my HDTV provide that?

I was comparing an LG blue ray player BD390 and a Sony Blue ray player BDP S560, out to the side listed under features was Digital tuner; The LG said yes and the Sony said no. Both were listed around 250$ I was wanting to know if I need this? Do I have this covered by having an HDTV? Why does a blue ray player need this? The reason I asked is to understand the digital tuner issue a little better. Thanks for your replies.

  • I-Tunes 7 opens then freezes right away.  PLEASE HELP!

Ok, I am a Windows XP user, and downloaded the I-Tunes 7. It installed, but when I try to open it, it opens then instantly freezes and I get a "The program is not reponding" window, then windows closes the non-responsive i-tunes.
I cannot do anything with my I-pod or I-Tunes.
I recently purchased my I-pod (this week) and have been able to do NOTHING! with it because of this I-tunes issue.
Can anyone help me or did I waste my money on the I-pod?

You should post in Firefox's help forum.

  • Oracle DB Tunning

    Aloha!
one of the DB that were using, experienced 100% CPU usage once it is accessed by a client and sometimes it stays at 100% even no one is using that said DB.
Also, the viewing response accessing a datasheet, using toad, is very poor. It takes 40 to 50 mins just to view a datasheet.
I believe it is just a simple tunning issue. Hope you could help me on this.
    Thanks

ThanksIf a virus scanner is installed on the server, make certain that it does not scan the data, index, redo, control, or other files used by the database. I would also suggest excluding the Oracle binary files from the virus scanner checks.
While AWR/ASH might be helpful, a Diagnostic Pack license is required to use those features. Start simple. From a command line window (cmd.exe) on the server, execute the following command:
TASKLIST /S . /V /FO TABLE > C:\Running_Processes.txtIf the CPU is not yet at 100% utilization, start your report or whatever normally drives the CPU to 100% utilization. Run the following command when the CPU is heavily loaded:
TASKLIST /S . /V /FO TABLE > C:\Running_Processes2.txtThe above commands create two text files named C:\Running_Processes.txt and C:\Running_Processes2.txt. Open both of those files and see which process (image name) had the most significant increase in CPU Time by comparing that column in the two reports.
You might take a look at the following blog article that was scheduled for release about 7 hours ago:
    http://hoopercharles.wordpress.com/2010/02/22/cpu-usage-monitoring-what-are-the-statistics-and-when-are-the-statistics-updated/
If the CPU consumption problem is caused by Oracle, you might try one of these utility scripts to find the cause of the performance problem within the database:
