Tuner on the aux channel turns on -- No Sound

Hey There. Science I use Mainstage 2.2 the tuner on the aux channel turns on sometimes, when I change a patch. So there is no sound anymore and I have to turn on and off the tuner to have some sound again. How can I put the tuner away from the aux channel to avoid the problem of turning the tuner of a patch all the time on an off, before there is a sound from the aux channel strip?
Greets and thanks for the answers!

So I figured out a quick fix by putting a direction mixer/mono to stereo plug in last in the channel strip would fix it. That being said, having the ability to pan aux channels independently from the main output would be ideal.  Does anybody know how to do this?

I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.

  • Whenever I plug my ipod into the aux line on my Pioneer sound system in my car, the whole system crashes.  WHY??

It didn't used to.  It doesn't matter if the battery is full, empty, or in between.  Even if the system has been playing Sirius for a long time, as soon as I plug in my ipod, the whole system crashes, restarts, crashes, restarts, etc.  What can I do??

    Try connecting another device.
    You can also try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

  • How do I send a stereo signal to an AUX channel in Logic?

    Hi Peeps,
I'm currently using Logic Studio 8 and I'm getting really annoyed with the fact that when I take a send 'post fader' from a stereo audio channel to a stereo AUX channel, the post fader signal seems to ignore any panning adjustments. Its like the send is only sending a mono image??? For instance, if I pan a synth track hard left I can still hear the wet reverb signal on my AUX track on the right, its annoying! I could always pan the AUX channel left, but obviously I would like to use that AUX channel for effecting numerous tracks, not all of which will be panned hard left!
I dont have this problem in pro-tools as you can choose to send the signal to a mono or stereo bus channel, but I cant find an option for this in Logic for love nor money!
    Help!
    Orbz

    Hi Orbz,
There are 3 Send modes in Logic:
    • Pre Fader (original signal is sent before it reaches the channel strip's fader etc.
    • Post Fader (sent before volume fader adjustments)
    • Post Pan (send before volume fader and Pan/Balance adjustments).
Click and hold on the Send slot in your synth channel strip and select Post Pan fro the drop-down menu.
Funnily enough I've just finished writing a tutorial about this very topic!! It's not published yet, but will appear on the macProVideo.com blog in the coming days...

  • Aux Channel design flaw or bug ???

    Hi !
I only ever need to use the Aux channels because the Buss channels don't allow you to insert a Send. A rather unwieldy solution to an otherwise simple requirement.
Now here's the problem. Irrespective of whether the Buss source and Aux is set to stereo or mono ( whatever config I try ) the aux can't receive the signal if the Buss channel is panned to the right !! Left input, no problem
Is this a design flaw, a bug, or is there something I'm missing ?
I know there is a workaround to this problem - the same Audio copied to multiple track channels, but that creates a rather inelegant mixer.
I've also read elsewhere in this forum about delay/phase problems when using Aux channels.
    Any pointers appreciated.
    Thanks

Tele, I'm surprised that you'd make a comment like that.
It's easy to tell the bugs from the features: the bugs are when the features don't work. And there are ample enough features... I mean bugs... in Logic to help make that distinction.
Or did I really mean to say "enough bugs"...
Well, as Space Ghost once put it, "It's that easy, and it's that hard".

  • Sending vocal tracks to an Aux channel with reverb

Sorry for this question that may have been answered somewhere else.
I'm trying to add a single reverb plug-in to 6 vocal tracks. I've bussed all 6 to an Aux channel via bus 1, setting the input of the Aux channel to bus 1. No sound. I can't seem to find the correct routing. Anyone know the answer to this simple task. I'm coming from ProTools where I had no problem with this.
    Thanks.

Are you actually sending some of each of the six tracks to the bus?
(little knobs next to the bus assignment under "sends")
Do you have the Aux or any of the 6 tracks muted?
DO you have the master muted?

  • Defaulting to the HD channels

I just purchased my first HD TV and am trying to see if there is a way to default to the HD channels when entering the number for the SD channel.  For example, if I enter 7 for channel 7 (ABC-TV), can it automatically tune to 507 - the HD version of that channel instead of having to press the "C" button on the remote.  Being that i have an HD TV and an HD box with and HDMI cable connecting the box and the TV, why can't it tune in the HD channels automatically if entering the SD channel numbers.  I realize that it might sound crazy asking this, but it's annoying to have to remember to enter the HD version of the channel.

That or just get into the habit of entering 507 ... because, well, that's the channel you want.
Although, I would certainly support flipping the SD and HD channel orders.  Why make it harder for the majority of people who now have HD sets (and who all have HD STB's -- I'm sure the old 2500's and digital adpaters are the minority of the devices)?  Put the HD channels on the single digit assignments and push all the SD channels up to the three digit assignments.

  • Help needed to turn off camera sound 6120c

    Hi friends,,
Can someone help to to get rid of the sound that camera makes while capturing image with model 6120c.I could not find the option to turn off this sound. Is there any other unofficial way to stop this?
    Thanks & Best regards

Of course it is a big deal!
The shutter sound is very annoying when you snap a pic in a lecture hall, museum, zoo, theatre, school, etc. Covering the speaker is not a realistic option. The invention of digital cameras without moving parts made it possible to shoot pictures without bothering your enviroment with undesired noise. By forcing a synthetic shutter sound down our throat Nokia turned back the clock.
That camera noise is not just inconvenient, it's more than that. Should we allow a handful of countries with mandatory shutter sound to force their rules onto the entire world? In some places you enter a legal minefield if you have a beer with your picknick in the park. Should we let brewers force-feed us their version of a digital shutter sound in the form of an unremovable brown paper bag on each and every bottle on the planet?

  • Basic Q, Routing all the audio tracks to a bus or aux channel strip ?

I'm a little confused on this issue.
I've been doing separate tracks for the sax solos and vocals using the best parts of several tracks with automation. I've been adding the same effect in each track separately and I know this is not good. I'd like to send all the sax tracks to an aux. strip with an effect and all the vocal tracks to another strip with a different effect but I'm just a little confused about it. I see in the Mixer you can add AUX channels but I'm not sure whether to use stereo or mono for this situation ? It seems like I should use stereo because many effects are stereo.

    Sampleconstruct wrote:
Ok, select all your vocal tracks in your mixer->channels strips turn grey->now in the third box above the Channelstrip fader select the output to be e.g. Bus 1->Logic will automatically route Bus 1 to Aux 1 if you haven't created Busses in your environment before->insert your fx into the Aux->select all your Sax tracks->route them to Bus 2->insert your fx->done
I guess you shift select from the arrange window for multiple selections in the mixer but I just did them one at a time.
In this situation there appears to be no need to use the add AUX button. In the lower of the two I/O slots I selected Bus1 for the Sax and a new Aux1 track was created. For the Vocal I selected Bus2 and a new Aux2 was created.
---Thank you Sampleconstruct . I'm still in the dark but this was a huge help.

It could just be a compatibility issue.  Have you tried resetting the Nano with everything connected to see if that makes a difference?

  • HT3650 Glitches exporting aux channels using the blank region method. Any solutions?

I've ended up with LOTS of glitches in the output from the stems. Does anyone have a reliable way to use this method? E.g., one aux track was receiving a left channel only track and a right channel track but the exported file only had the right channel!

Yes my particular issue is not like yours. However, there have been many other laptop users experiencing similar problem to yours after 3.10 kernel. Mostly it seems to be bumblebee users that experience your problem with the blank screen. We do know that nvidia have yet to make their official drivers work with kernel 3.10 and up. The drivers in the Arch repository have been patched to work with 3.10. From what I have seen, this also only seem to be affecting laptops with newer nvidia gpu's. I fear there is not much to do with this problem until nvidia give official 3.10 kernel support.
My suggestion would be to stick with 3.9.9 kernel and the drivers that work with it, and don't upgrade those packages until nvidia has addressed these issues. If you have a look at the nvidia forums you will see quite a number of topics mentioning black screen when starting x on 3.10 kernel, and also a thread for the system dying. Reading some of the threads there may help you keep up to date on whether or not the issue seem to be solved.

  • Is it possible to turn down the D channel on a Qsig trunk

We're working with a mgcp controlled 3845 and a mgcp controlled 6608 blade in 6509 switch. We're connecting to a Nortel PBX using Qsig trunks.
We're testing failover for calls from the Nortel system over multiple Qsig trunks to the 3845 and the 6608, i.e. if the Nortel see the trunk is down it will hunt to the next trunk.
What the Nortel engineers are requesting us to do is to turn down the D channel on a trunk from the 6608 or the 3845 to the Nortel PBX to see if their equipment will hunt to the next Qsig trunk if it sees the D channel down.
    Thanks,
    Jim

On the 3845, go to the interface serial and do a shut down to bring down the D channel. For example, if the T1 is connected to port 1/0, then do the following
    interface serial 1/0:23
    shutdown
On the 6608, if you are connected to port 5/1, then disabling that port will bring down the D channel. Use this command
    set port disable 5/1

  • Why arent the nba league pass HD channels turned on for the free preview?

They better be turned on by tommrrow or else i wont be too happy!!

This is because Verizon is in the process if replacing lots of boxes for people to see subscribed channels that are being converted to MPEG-4. If someone is subscribed to the package and can't see the HD channels, they will swap out the box. Verizon doesn't want to swap out boxes at this point for people to see a two week preview and nothing else. I was kind of bummed that I couldn't see the HD channels in the NHL package, but if I wanted them that bad, I would have subscribed.
On another note, I just bought an Apple TV unit, and I will never bother with buying a sports package of regular TV channels again. If I ever subscribe, I'll get the online version and watch it on Apple TV so I can get either teams' broadcasts in HD every day. The only exception is if a local team is involved, and I could only watch on my region's RSN.

  • Removing Aux Channels in the mixer

Hello people, does any body know about this? I´m trying to delete an Aux Channel in the mixer that I don´t need anymore, I have checked the manual, etc and i cannot believe you cannot remove a Aux channel ... I mean it should let you arrange your mixer the way you want ... Thanks in advance for the help.

Hmm... As soon as I select an Aux track in the mixer, and then hit the "Delete" button, I'm given a prompt telling me that I'm about delete objects that are assigned to tracks in the Arrange Window.... Do I want to "Cancel", "Delete Anyway", or "Delete Used and Continue".
So I absolutely can delete an Aux track from the Mixer window, even one in use.
How are you trying to delete it?
