I need a update for vista so that I can use my new laptop. The disc only goes to Windows XP. Where can I get this download?

Do you have access to an Xp computer? The updated firmware will allow use on a Vista computer. However the update MUST be done on a XP computer. The firmware version 2.2.02 is the updated version Click on show details to see them http://support.creative.com/Products...me=MP3+Players

I have another question. I installed the Palm Desktop Version 4.1.4 from the CD onto my computer running Windows Vista. Since I can't use the LifeDrive in Vista, how do you uninstall the software. I successfully uninstalled the LifeDrive Manager which deleted the Palm Desktop icon from my Start Menu, but when I click on another Palm Desktop icon (shortcut) that I saved in another folder, it opens the application. The Palm Desktop application is not listed in Start > Control Panel > click Uninstall a program under Programs > Palm is not listed in the Programs and Features window.
I tried to manually deleted the files by going to Start > Computer > HP (C > Program Files (x86) > right-click the palmOne folder > click Delete > Are you sure you want to move this folder to the Recycle Bin > click Yes > a small windows pops up titled Destination Folder Access Denied with the message You need to confirm this operation. > click Continue > Windows needs your permission to continue > click Continue > a small windows pops up titled Destination Folder Access Denied with the message You need to confirm this operation. > click Try Again > the same windows appears so click Try Again > and so on.

I downloaded the latest important update to windows vista yesterday, and since then Firefox crashes very soon after enetering the portal of any website I visit, and I want to know if the windows vista update could be doing this?

Yesterday (23rd March) my computer appeared to perform an auto update of windows vista and since then every time time use firefox it crashes shortly after entering a web portal (after about 1-5 seconds). It even crashes on the BBC news page which I always use to check stability. I have been using Firefox for years and it has just started doing this. However, I examined the programme files and actaully cannot see a windows vista update for yesterday, but I can see that there was a Firefox update, so now I'm a bit confused. Looking at the program files in more details it appears that there was a very major update of Firefox taking place including lots of file extensions. You should also know that your password recovery process doesn't work. I never got the email that is supposed to help me recover a lost password. I am really disappointed with Firefox doing this. It's costing me time and money. Can you help before I give up and go back to using Windows explorer (ugh!). I have thought of simply removing Firefox and starting again with a new download but that might not solve the probelm and I will lose my bookmarks.

I have an update to my message posted yesterday regarding Firefox crash after vista update. Today it got worse when Firefox wouldn't open at all and Windows explorer also stopped working. Curiously, email was still working, and when I checked another (little used) account on the same PC, I got a perfect connection with Firefox and Explorer. I had to conclude that the latest updates of Vista have interacted with some application only found in my main account on the PC. I tried opening Firefox in its safe mode and I tried opening explorer without Plug ins, but neither worked. Finally I decided the only answer was to do a system restore and wind back the windows software to where it was before the problem. I now have Firefox and explorer restored to working order, but I still don't understand why, because I got a message saying the system restore hasn't worked. Full Comprehension of the cause is beyond my capability, but through trial and error as described above I seem to have fixed it. The suspect vista updates are KB2505189 , and KB2524375.

I have recently updated my laptop from Windows Vista to Windows 7. I have just added three new playlists to my Ipod Shuffle, 3rd generation. On the panel in ITunes in view on the computer, all looks fine and music plays. However, after syncing a million times, when clicking to "hear" the playlists, the voice will call out all the old playlists just fine - except for the 3 new ones I've added; it calls them out as "playlist 3, playlist 8, or "purchased". All software for the ITunes has been updated as of the moment. Why would switching from Vista to Windows 7 cause this frustrating issue? All help appreciated.

If VoiceOver is disabled in iTunes, you hear an abbreviated menu of playlists in numbered order, but not by name (for example, “Playlist 1, Playlist 2,” and so on).
So you'll want to make sure VoiceOver is enabled to correct this.

ICloud for laptop running Vista ?

Havent really done updates for a while or backed up my phone for quite some time (if ever), i thought i'd do the new update everyone is talking about & turn on the automatic upload of photos to iCloud to back them up.
I did the update to the phone, turned on iCloud on the phone, downloaded the iCloud software for my laptop for it to inform me that it is not compatible.
I'm running Windows Vista with Microsoft 2003 stuff & apparently can not have iCloud on my laptop.
Now, i'm not very technical at all, so please dont ask complicated questions .... but is there a way i can get this on the laptop so i'm able to manage the photos cause at the moment, i really, REALLY hate iTunes to manage stuff on the phone.
Having been an iPhone fan for a few years i've now got to the point where i'm fed up with the limitations & difficulty in putting stuff to/from the phone.
My old Nokia N95 was so much easier .... drag & drop. None of this Syncing but not able to move stuff about to the places where you want.

Having just got home & checked my laptop, i'm running Vista Service pack 2.
I've just tried to download the iClous 3.0 AGAIN & got the same, error message, can not run on this system.

It is just a rollup of Vista updates. All are included in SP2 so you can forget about it. Just apply SP2 (as you did) and run a full MS update and you will be fine.

Hello everybody, Im trying to update my ITunes on my MAC (laptop) to the newer version so I can then be able to update the latest updates for my Iphone-3G. I don’t require a complete reinstall just need to be able to update my itunes.
What I have tried so far is I had my MAC search for update’s and it said that I should update to (ITunes version 10 . 6 . 3 ) So I asked it to do the update but after 2hrs of waiting for it to download/update it then puts up a message saying the following- (In order to continue installation, please close the following application: ITunes).
When I tried to do this another message comes up that says- (The update ITunes can’t be installed. The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for Apple mobile device support. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)
I have also tried to run the update while having closed ITunes before I even start the update but the same problem happens after waiting about 2hrs.
Some one that had the same problem said this might be happening in the older operating systems. But that does not make sense because surely Apple want customers who own a MAC and i-phone to still buy from iTunes.
My MAC is about 4-5years old. I have a i-phone.3G,

I have been updating my PSE since 10. Recently I purchased PSE13 as I didn't see an update for my 12. I was changing to a new laptop as my old laptop had been patched and worked and was showing signs of giving out. It was a Window's 7OS. My new one is a Windows 8 OS so I bought the 13 and downloaded it on the new laptop. Our desktop had died so I downloaded the 13 on the new desk computer also. Not thinking I downloaded 13 on my old laptop as I hope to get it patched up enough to be a backup for my photography. When I tried to activate it I realized that I had downloaded it too often. I didn't know you could only use it on two computers. Learn something new every day.. Any way I removed it and now my PSE 12 does not seem to be working. Now it could be something that I did or something that is an issue with the laptop. this laptop has all the previous editions on board as I always tried to update, except for the year I got a really good deal on Black Friday. I also notice that the new laptop has a copy of PSE 12 in the program list. To my knowledge I have never deactivated any of my PSE's except the extra 13 downloaded. Bottom line, do I need to go in and deactivate previous PSE versions and removed them from my computer? I could certainly use the space and secondly, can I deactivate the PSE 12 and then go back and reacitivate it and install it again on the old laptop or the desktop, whichever I deside would be the most appropriate place for the newer program. For the PSE 12 since it is an updater for 11, does the 11 still need to be on the laptop? thanks for anyone who can understand what I am trying to say and can advise me as to my next move. ITunes Update for Windows Vista 64 bit

Does anybody know when this is going to be released. I got an iPhone and can't sync it with the latest version of Windows Vista. The friendly staff at AT&T forgot to tell me that I would not be able to use my iPhone until iTunes came out with an update for Windows Vista.

Windows Vista Update posts 64bit driver for Qosmio F30 32bit Vista

Today I've noticed that Windows Vista update is posting the wrong update for one of Qosmio F30 drivers.
I have Windows Vista 32Bit but Windows Update post a 64bit version of the driver.

The Toshiba x64 ACPI compliant driver means definitely a 64bit version!!!
I dont know why the Vista driver update notification reports an 64bit driver for a 32bit OS but usually the 64bit driver shouldn't be compatible with the 32bit OS.
However, the case seems to be clear dont install it if the driver is not designed for your OS.

You need to be running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer to sync the iPhone 5; this may require buying a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store. OS upgrades aren't covered by the warranty.

BIOS Updater tool for laptop says it is not comptible with laptop.

I have a Satelite C855D-S5106, and Toshiba says, when I go through all the dropdown boxes to select my model of laptop, that there are two (one older, one newer) BIOS updates for this laptop. However, when running either update tool, they both give me a notice, stating that they are not compatible with my model of laptop.
What do I do now?

This shows that it fix's system hangs after settings are changed by TSS (Toshiba service station), That tool shows you what updates are available, then downloads and installs them for you. Because of this I would update the bios though many believe that if its not broke dont fix it when it comes to the bios.
The Toshiba service station sometimes will show a bios update that does not apply to your laptop, it went away after a couple of weeks on mine.

Please try this
Stop Windows Update Service and BIT Service now.
Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and delete all file under this folder.
Start Windows Update and BIT service now.
Then try to download windows update now.
If doesn't work, please reset the windows update componments

Try installing the Epson drivers from here:

and then seeing if adding and printing with USB works.
