Tungsten E wont turn on, charge or nothing?

I recieved a Tungsten E fro my dad who baught it new 4-5 years ago. He has not turned it on or used it since few years. It dont seem to want to turn on, charge or anything. I believe i have tried to reset it using power, and reset, and what i could read up on. This does not take AAA batteries, i think their built in. Can anyone tell me how i may be asble to get this to work?

Stick something thin (paper clip) into the back reset hole of the device. Try this while the palm is plugged into the wall and is charging.

& it keeps trying to turn on but it wont . like the apple logo pops up for a minute , then turns off.

Had exact same problem. Rang Apple support and various apple repairers. All of them said in effect, too bad, you'll have to lose everything since your last backup. It's a work phone with very important stuff on it and the latest backup was on a computer that had a virus. Convergence of crap :/
Happened to talk to a friend who said to try replacing the battery. Did that. Problem fixed. All data saved.
To all Apple support people: rather than say 'once it's in recovery mode you lose all data' try saying 'replace your battery and see if that works first'!!!!

what do i do if my ipod wont turn on, charge, or connect to itunes

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Why wont Iphone wont turn on, charge on turn off?

my iphone didnt want to turn off before, or charge, so i heard it could be water damage, i never had it near water, it was by my bed all night, and i woke ip  and it would not work, so i put it in some rice, like i was told, but now it wont turn on at all, help

    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart..  Reset..  Restore from Backup..  Restore as New...
Try a Reset of the Phone... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the Phone Off... ( if it isn’t already )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
    Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds...
    Release the Buttons...
    Turn the Phone On...
If that does not help... See Here:

  • Iphone 5 wont turn on, charge or connect to itunes

My daughters iphone 5 is about 18 months old, she's recently had problems with the battery draining from 100% - 0% in a matter of a couple of hours even when not in use. Last week the battery drained and wouldn't charge, i tried everything i could think of and some things i found on the net. Yesterday i took it to a repair shop and they tested the battery, the battery was dead and he couldn't get it to charge. I decided to buy a new battery and hoped this fixed the problem. The phone charged as normal and everything was fine but today the phone died in a few hours and now wont charge again.
I've tried holding the home and power buttons for different amounts of time.
    I've toggled the volume buttons,
left on charge for over an hour in the wall
I've cleaned all the conections and found no dust or anything.
I just can't get it to do anything.
I've connected it to my laptop but i can't even get itunes to recognise the phone, it's now been conected for a couple of hours and nothing is happening.
I've tried different chargers but as the chargers work with my own phone it can't be a faulty cable.
Is therre anything else i can try?

    Hello Claire_80,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
The following troubleshooting steps will help in resolving this issue of the iPhone not powering on, and also not being recognized by iTunes:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • My new iphone 4 wont turn on/charge/ connect to computer

Today I went to Disneyland with some friends. My phone died earlier in tha day. When I got home I plugged it in to charge it and it charged up to about 15%. Then It randomly just turned off. I tried reboot it and everything. I know its not dead becuase its been on the charger forever! I read that I should restore it but when I plug it into the computer it doesnt reconize it!! Then i tried to recovery mode too. It wont even let me do that! HELP PLEASE

While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge iPhone until it is fully charged.

  • My ipod wont turn on, charge, or connect to itunes

I have an ipod touch, the third one i have gotten in about 3 months. All having the same issue. I'm about to say screw it and stop using apple products forever because this is completely ridiculous.
WHEN the ipod was working it would come on for no apparent reason and start playing music even when it was locked. One day I went to listen to it and it wouldnt come on. I went to charge it and left it on the charger for about 4 hours, nothing. I plugged it into the computer, nothing. I plugged it into 5 different cables, nothing. I held down the center and power button until the apple popped up..... and nothing.
Obviously I cannot connect it to itunes so PLEASE dont tell me to reset it via itunes. Can someone PLEASE tell me why this has happened to my last 3 ipods and how to possibly fix it?
I no longer have money to have it fixed or to buy a new one, seeing as i bought this MAYBE 3 weeks ago. Sick of spending money on products that seem to crap out relentlessly.

There is really no way to tell WHY it happened except may the Apple Genius. I have an iPhone 4 that is still working fine as well as an iPad 4, iPhone 4S and 7G iPod Nano. I have not had any problems.

  • It wont turn on - it says nothing to boot

I bought my Macbook Air in July 2013. It worked perfectly yesterday and when I turned it on today, it said low battery so I connected my charger, and restarted my laptop. When I turned it on, the Apple sound appeared but the screen was all white without the Apple logo. It stayed like that for a minute, and in the center a picture of a folder with a ? in the middle appeared. Does it mean that there is nothing to boot? Why is this happening? My laptop doesnt turn on.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Correct, or your MacBook has forgotten which the startup drive is. To check this, hold the Option (Alt) key while your Mac is starting up and you should see different options on the screen. If you see "Macintosh HD", choose it. Then, open System Preferences > Startup Disk, and select Macintosh HD, so your MacBook will start up correctly.
If you don't see the OS X volume, there's a problem, Hold Command, Option (Alt) and R keys while your Mac is starting up, open Disk Utility and see if the flash storage is detected in the Disk Utility's sidebar. If not, take the MacBook to an Apple Store or reseller and it will be repaired for free. If it's detected, reinstall Mac OS X

  • My ipod wont turn on,charge or be recognized by my computer.

My ipod touch 2nd generation I believe was dead so I turned it back on and played for a little then it died again.Usually when this happens I just have to charge it over night and it works fine, but this time what happens is it goes to a screen with the apple logo in  the middle as if it was turning on but then the screen goes black. It then goes to the battery screen and is red with very little battery yet has the charging symbol underneath it.In a little after that it goes black again then goes back the the apople screen and starts over again. It ahs been charging for over a week and I don't kn ow what to do.Alsoy computer does not recognize the ipod.

    Try here:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Also let the battery full drain. After charging for at least an hour try again.
It could be that the battery had died.

  • TS1383 my ipod wont turn or charge it just flases the apple when plugged in

My ipod will not turn on. When I plug it in to the computer to charge it will not do anything, it just flashes the apple sign it also will not pull up the itunes like it normally does. HELP

First, try a Restore.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.
