Tungsten E2 wifi gives steady blink? won't connect?

I had my wifi for my E2 connecting just fine.  Nothing about my internet has changed.  I was using my Palm one night and when I woke up in the morning and went to check my email, I tried to access the internet and it didn't work.  The wifi card just gives a steady blink.  I did soft and hard resets (twice), reinstalled the wireless on the E2, we reset my router, we did everything we could think of to make this thing work again.  It won't search for networks, and even when I'm literally right on top of the router, it doesn't recognize anything.  It just blinks.  I tried to do the live chat help, and whomever I spoke to was clueless about that sort of problem.
Does anyone on here have any ideas?  It's very frustrating to not have Internet access on my Palm - I actually got to like that....

Hi, although I don't have a Wi-Fi card, I suppose it is possible that either there is a connection issue (e.g. dirty contacts either on the card or down inside the card slot on the E2), or the card has gone batty.
Have you tried a regular SD expansion card to see if it has any problems being read by the E2?
All Palm-branded accessories come with a one-year warranty.  If you bought the card new, and it's less than a year old, you might also have recourse if you have evidence of purchase.  Good luck.

  • My iPad  3G won't connect to 3G.  It used to but stopped recently.  The account is current.  I even tried turning off the wifi and it still won't connect to 3G.  Any ideas?

My iPad2 3G won't connect to 3G.  It used to (bought Nov 2011) but hasn't for a couple weeks.  The AT&T account is current.  I've tried turning off the wifi but it still won't connect to 3G. Any ideas?

Have you tried using it in a different location; say in the town center.
    Also try a Reset.

  • Anyone know why my wifi sees 5G but won't connect?

I have an Air Port Extreme router, the new tall one. Full 2.4/5ghz Dual-Band. Of course all my Apple devices will connect and activate 5G and I see between 800mbps to 1200mbps connection speeds. However I've tried THREE different brands of Wifi AC Dual-Band devices for my Windows gaming rig and while ALL will see both the 2.4G and 5G router wifi connections, any attempt to connect to the 5G will just see it ignored and it connects to the 2.4G. Signal quality for both is 100%.
I even have the 5G set to 40mhz (channels 48-187) and it won't work. If I set up the router to split the 2.4G and 5G as two access points, the 5G won't even show up for my Windows box.
Has anyone run in to this? Is Apple up to shenanigans or am I not understanding how this works? For now my rig is on 2.4G and seeing 144mbps instead of the 800mbps I am seeing on my Apple's 5G connections.
    Thanks for any help.

Are you using SMB compatible names, ie short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
Obviously a different name for 2.4ghz and 5ghz.
Try removing the security.. just for a test. If it won't connect with name correct and no security then there is something wrong in the computer.. but each wireless device should have a different driver.. if not make sure you download the latest driver for it.
Put the wireless security back as soon as you finish testing of course.

  • C205 Internet/WIFI is on but won't connect to web.

So, my C205 was working fine yesterday. The computer is mainly used for playing video games and in the recent months had a RAM upgrade. Anyway, I was playing a game on it yesterday and after I stopped playing it, it usually causes my PC to slow down afterwards. So the typical solution for me is to reboot it and it'll be fine. Well. I rebooted it last night and it said the wifi wasn't connected to the internet but it was on.
    Okay, that's weird.
I turn it off and go to bed. I wake up about 9 hours later and try it again. Wifi is on but the internet isn't connected. I tried it with local and local doesn't work either.
Tried resetting and disconnecting my router/modem, disabling and reinstall drivers, running a full virus scan (and discovering nothing) and even system restoring but it won't fix the problem.
The Lenovo PC is the only one in my household that has this problem. Every other device with internet and wifi seems to be working but the Lenovo. Is there anything I could do to fix it? The PC will be a year old two days from now. Also, this is the first time it's ever had this problem.
I'd really appreciate some help. Without the internet, the games installed on it will not work and I need this computer for school.

    Hi Heosphoros,
Can you try updating by using ThinkVantage System Update? (my support site is not coming up right now, but I will post a link to the update software asap)
    *edit* http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=migr-61432
I would try uninstalling the graphics driver and reinstalling it if that update doesn't help.
Did you find a post awesome? A great response? Kudo them!

  • Wifi keeps droping or won't connect

My wifi Keeps droping even after trying reset network setting i still have the same problem or after reseting it won't join the network , anyone got a solution will appreciate it ..

    How you're doing hvimac?
If you are using Mac OS X Lion 10.7, consider downloading wi-fi update:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1501
If above procedure does not apply and you're using Lion or Mac OS X Mountain Lion, launch terminal throuh Finder > applications > utilities and paste the following command on terminal:
    sudo /usr/libexec/airportd debug +alluserland +alldriver +allvendor +LogFile
Restart your computer and check if issue persists.

  • Can no longer WiFi Sync.  iTunes won't connect to devices.

Since downloading iOS 7 and iTunes 11.1.1 I can no longer WiFi Sync my iPhone5, iPad, or iPod.  Error message states, "iTunes could not connect to this device.  Could not allocate a resource."  What does this mean?  Never had a problem before.

I have the same problem  On the phone with Apple support over the course of a few days without a solution.

  • 3GS Wifi greyed out, bluetooth won't connect, 4.3.3

Soooooo I have done some trawling around on here and haven't really found something that has provided me a solution to my problem (described above). The story so far....
Now that I think about it I don't think my wifi has been working for a few weeks but my bluetooth was until recently. I can't say for sure if these failures have coincided with an update to 4.3.3 or earlier for the wifi problem but that ceretainly makes sense in terms of timing.
There seems to be a healthy amount of material in the Apple Community that describes these problems however no clear solutions that I can find so far. I have done the usual software check, settings restore and full restore with no change at all.
    Any tips groovers?

If you've done all troubleshooting (i.e. reset, restart, restore, restore as new) and the device is still not operating properly, that would indicate a hardware problem.
A trip to the Genius bar would be the next step to have them confirm the hardware problem.
If the device is still under warranty, it will be replaced.
If the device is not under warranty, you would be eligible for a Out of Warranty replacement which in the US is $199.

  • My IPad original's wifi stopped working and won't connect to any hotspot.  What should I do?

I have been using my IPad regularly and it would connect wifi at any hotspot including my home.  Now over the last couple weeks, it will not connect to any hotspot and says it cannot find an internet connection.  I have reset my wifi in the settings and updated the operating system to 4.3.5; and it still will not connect.  Before I take it in to be fixed, any other suggestions?

You can start with this support article about troubleshooting WiFi on an iOS device.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398
Normally I would also suggest that you update your iOS to version 5 which is out now, but you may want to hold off on that and see if you can resolve the WiFi issue with the troubleshootings steps in the article first.

  • Time Capsule won't connect to anything

I was using my time capsule for about a year and never had an issue until I moved. Now that I'm in the new house, no devices will connect to it except my MacBook Pro. Hard wired LAN or over WIFI my smart TV won't connect neither will my PlayStation or my iPhones or iPad. Nothing. Again... My computer connects over WIFI but nothing else. And nothing works directly hooked up from the Time Capsule to any device via LAN cable.

TC needs a full factory reset when put in a new network.
It remembers far too much from the previous setup.
    So.
    The Factory Reset Gen1-4.
Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel..  add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Do do a new setup .. if the modem you have is cable pure type modem.. the TC must be in bridge.. you MUST turn off the cable modem for 20min for the MAC address capture to time out.. then power up the modem and power up the TC which is in DHCP + NAT mode.
If the modem is a router.. put the TC in bridge mode..
If you run into troubles give us more info.
what modem.. make and model and type.
What model is the TC.. A1xxx from the base.
    What version firmware?

  • MacBook Air won't connect with TimeCapsule

I recently bought the new Time Capsule and for a while it was happily backing up both my and my wife's MacBook Airs. Then it stopped backing up my wife's computer. On investigation I find my wife's MacBook Air won't connect to the Time Capsule. When I try to select the Time Capsule as the back-up disk an error message appears: "There was a problem connecting to the server "John's AirPort Time Capsule"". I can see the Time Capsule in Finder on my wife's computer but when I click on "Connect As" I get the same error message. On my computer the Time Capsule appears in Finder as Connected, but disconnecting it doesn't make any difference to my wife's computer.
    Any help gratefully received.
    J

First, restart the Time Capsule by disconnecting the power adapter and reconnecting it. If other devices on the network can see it, you can skip this step.
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
Click the lock icon in the lower left corner of the window and authenticate to unlock the settings, if necessary. Click the Advanced button, then select the TCP/IP tab in the sheet that drops down. Click Renew DHCP lease.
    Try again to back up.
If you still can't, open the Time Machine preference pane and delete the TC from the list of backup destinations. You may have to unlock the settings by clicking the lock icon in order to do this. Then add it back.

  • My ipod 4G won't connect to my wifi at home with new router. Says "unable to connect" and won't give me any other options. Have tried resetting network connections. Help.

My ipod 4G won't connect to my wifi at home with new router. Says "unable to connect" and won't give me any other options. Have tried resetting network connections. I don't want to lose anything. I have tried turning everything off and back on again. Desktop and laptop are working fine. Sometimes it turns on suddenly and I can use it for like 20 mins but then shuts off again. Same thing is happening with my dad's iphone, Help.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • We use an Airport Extreme in my office, which works fine for me. Occasionally we need to have more than one computer running on it, but for some reason it won't connect to the internet. It says we have internet, but won't connect to wifi. What's going on?

I use my computer everyday in our office and have no issue connecting to the internet/wifi, but when my boss comes in and tries to connect it doesn't work. It tells her she has internet, but won't connect to the wifi. We've tried a few different tactics(the basic ones I've seen on here), but nothing seems to be working for us. My computer automatically connects to our wifi.
Just recently the Airport Extreme has started with the blinking amber colored light on the front, which I believe means something is wrong? Can anyone help us figure out what's going on and why we can't get my boss' computer to connect as it should?
    Thank you!

    Here's an update:
Now the light is not blinking. It's a solid, consistant green. I don't know if it helps to narrow it down or anything, but I just figured I'd mention it.

  • My ipad mini suddenly won't connect to wifi

My iPad mini is 2 years old.  Today it won't connect to the wifi at all.  I've tried shutting it off and turning it back on.  Then I go to wifi settings, and it shows my network and asks for password.  I know I'm entering the password correctly, but it says *incorrect password*.  I've tried resetting the ipad, I've tried resetting the network, I've tried closing out all apps, turning the ipad off and on, etc.  My laptop is connected and my smart phone is connected, so that's not the issue.  I don't know why the ipad is telling me the password is incorrect!  What can I do?  Any help would be appreciated!
PS - I have a brand new iPad mini here for my son for Christmas.  I'd rather not have to give it to him today but I'm about ready to!

As of yesterday I have the same issue with an iPad Mini bought in November 2012. I have tried resetting the network settings - no good. I have done an entire factory reset - no good. I have restored from previous backups - no good. I have reset to factory and set up as a new iPad - temporarily OK, then added some apps back - no wifi again.
Today I have been to an Apple Store who could connect the iPad to their wifi OK, came home, connected OK for a few minutes and then back to no wifi again.
It is not the router that is the problem, in the house are iPhone 6 plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5S, iPad Air, Macbook Air, Apple TVs, and other bits of kit that are all successfully connecting. All iOS devices are on 8.1.2.
This problem has effectively bricked my iPad mini... very not happy!!!

  • Printer won't connect to wifi

    Hello
I've recently bought Samsung m2020/2020w  wireless printer, but I cannot seem to connect it to wifi. When trying to connect via WPS, then wireless setup light keeps flasing for 2 minutes but won't connect. Also tried to connect the printer to wifi through my PC via cable, but that gives me "general error". Sent my printer for warranty repair, but it came back as OK (they managed to connect it to their wireless networks). I've switched off my windows firewall, tried firmware update on the printer and connecting it to the router using laptop. Wifi works okay with other wireless devices such as smartphones and laptops.
    Im using Cisco epc3825 router.

    Hello,
what band the printer is using (2.4 or 5 GHz)?
What is the security on the wireless network that you use?
have you tried to connect the printer withour WPS?
because it gives you a general error in wired side, I think your problem is bigger than wireless-only issue.
I think it is better to move your post to the small business->wireless forms that is responsible for your device type.
    Regards,
    Amjad
