Tungsten T3 2gb sd card

I have a tungsten t3. I love it. But, I bought a Lexar 2gb sd card (not high capacity), and hoped to use it with my palm. I added media (music, pictures, video, etc) to it using a usb card reader (the card was pre-formatted FAT, not FAT32). when I put it into the palm, I can read the media, listen to music, read ebooks and everything, but I can't delete it, move it, or alter it. When I try to, it gives me an error message 'Move Failed: (ox0502)'. When I tried to format the card using the built in card info app, it doesn't work. I have a 1gb sd card, and it works perfectly.
So my question is this: Does the tungsten t3 support 2gb sd cards? And if it doesn't, would there be a way to split the card in order to have it register as two smaller cards? Any other solutions?
I would greatly appreciate any help.

The maximum card size for your device is 1GB SD or MMC.
Copy and Paste the following link in a browser for the card specs.

Here is a quote from the page regarding higher capacity cards in your device;
Because of the file system used by these models, and those that came before them, larger cards may cause unexpected behavior or not work in these devices.

  • 1.3GB of 2GB media card is occupied by 'others' in memory use

I have a 2GB media card and 1.3 GB of which is occupied by this 'others' in memory use. As far as I remember it was around 600 MB when I bought the phone(Curve 9360).I am giving the details of memory use.
    Music  40.5 MB
    Ringtones 567.5 KB
    Pictures 48.9 MB
    Videos 209.1 MB
    Documents 121.1 MB
    Other 1.3 GB
    Free 60.3 MB
    Any help would be appreciated.

Go to the Media > Explore > Media Card and see what folders you have installed there other than the routine Pictures, Music,  Video, etc... for instance I have some third apps which create new folders and store data there (CardStar, flycast, ShowMeTheImages, Themes, Fixmo Screenshots, Databases.
The "other" space is likely occupied by such as that.

  • 1gb graphics cards vs 2gb graphics cards in PS5.1

What is the advantage of using a 2gb graphics card over a 1gb one. Is it say when I am opening many images say over 20 if i have a 1gb card it will start to use system memory where a 2gb will use more of its own?

Using a 2GB Graphics card will mean you will have more dedicated memory for task related to rendering images, while allowing Photoshop still use system memory for everything else. For example if you have allocated in your preferences for Photoshop to use 4GB of your 6GB of system memory and you also havea 2GB Graphics Card, then the total resources Photoshop has available for all task is 6GB, 2GB dedciated specifically for rendering, animating, zooming shading, 3D graphics, rendering filters and so on.
This also means you have more multi-tasking power. Most people will tell you that Photoshop is CPU heavy and not GPU heavy so that more RAM and better Processors are more important than your video card. However what they are neglecting is that any resources you free up are to your advantage, so any CPU and RAM that the GPU free's up means its more for you to use elsewhere. Make sense? The more overall power you have at any level means that resources can be spared accordingly.

  • Formatting 2GB SD card with FAT32 using Disk Utility

    Hello
I'm trying to format a 2GB SD card in a card reader/writer to FAT32 using Disk Utility. Unfortunately the only option available under the Erase button is "MS-DOS File System (FAT16)". I need to do this to upgrade the firmware in my Sony TV which requires a FAT32 formatted USB device.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Tim
P.S. Unfortunately I'm stuck in OSX Tiger on an old B&W G3 while my G5 undergoes repairs.

Ok, well anyone know of a free OSX 3rd party utility that will enable me to format the SD card to FAT32?
Unfortunately I don't have a larger SD card.
I tried my 1GB SD card on a XP PC and I'm not given the option of FAT32. So it may be a limitation of the SD specification, which means you may just need to bite the bullet and buy a larger SD card.
Perhaps you can ask Sony if there's some setting on your device to use something other than a FAT32 SD card. (I mean, this is Sony after all, you'd think they'd prefer Memorystick. )

  • Add one 2GB Ram card only (to make 6GB) in iMac 21.5 inch mid-2011

I have just upgraded my early 2008 iMac and now have a spare 2GB memory card. Can I add this to my wife's mid-2011 21.5 inch iMac? The top two slots are occupied by 2 x 2GB RAM. If so, how would I configure the 3 x 2GB in the four slots?
    John

In addition to Mike's response, the iMac must have the memory added in matched pairs.  That is, two side-by-side slots have to have the same size ram modules,  The over-under slots do not have to match in size but you cannot leave a slot empty.  You must have either two slots filled or four slots filled.
iMacs are even more picky than other Macs about their ram...you absolutely must use the correct speed ram in all four slots.

  • 2GB SD card shows only 1GB after formatting

I've formatted 2GB flash card using this utility. After this operation card had a strange file system, so I've foramtted the card using windows utility and card is visible as 1GB flash card.
How can I foramt this card as 2GB?

I have found some information that to solve this issue, you need the Toshiba SD Memory Card Format Utility V2.1.0.0. If you use an older version of the Toshiba SD Memory Card Format Utility and you format a 2GB SD card, this leads to a formatted 1GB SD card.
    Solution:
    1. Uninstall the old version of Toshiba SD Memory Card Format Utility from your computer
    2. Download the Toshiba SD Memory Card Format Utility V2.1.0.0
    3. Install Toshiba SD Memory Card Format Utility V2.1.0.0

  • E61i - 2GB Memory card showing as 242MB, not full ...

I have put a new Sandisk 2GB Memory card into my E61i. It only shows up as 242MB. I reformatted it with the phone with no success at accessing a full 2GB. What is going on? Did I miss something?

I do not know. Brand new, and no friends with similar connection.
I did call the company I bought it from and they sent me a second card. It reports exactly the same amount of memory. Maybe it is an incompatible brand? I don't know. I just want the memory to work. My original thought was that maybe it was just not able to read it all in one go, but this really made no sense since Nokia says it is 2GB compatible. hmmm.

  • 2GB miniSD cards on the N73

I have recently bought a N73 and a 2GB memory card for photos. With the card installed, the phone takes much longer to switch on (35 seconds without, 80seconds with) and the gallery program seems to take for ever to start.
Is anyone else having problems with 2GB cards?
Nokia 5800 v21.0.025 RM-356 (Orange profile- when will they update??)
    Nokia N73 (RM-133, OS v4.0735.3.0.2)
Nokia N85- DONT BUY, front plate fell off day 3, back panel moves. VERY cheap construction.

mine don't take that long. what it would do is install or load programs from the memory card, where it shows "initializing." if that what you are referring to, then this is normal.
    everything happens for a reason

    Hi taiwo22,
Not enough free space on disk C
Does the above said line says that you dont have enough memory on your phone's C: memory?  You may have sufficient memory on your memory card, but do you have enough memory on your phone ???
What exactly you are doing ???

  • Need to download images from a 2GB SD card

Does anyone know of an SD card reader that will handle 2GB cards on Mac OS X 10.4.x ?
I have tried the SanDisk 6-in-1 PC Card Adapter (SDAD-67) which claimed it would work on Mac OS X but my Powerbook would not recognize the device. I did a little digging and found out that appparently this adapter only works for SD cards up to 512MB (although I can't find this limitation listed anywhere in the specs).
I called Delkin and they have a USB reader which will work with MAC OS X but it only works for up to 1GB SD cards.
Does anyone know of a product that will handle 2GB SD cards on MAC OS X 10.4.x ?
    Thanks for you help !

No, you need the Camera Connection Kit. See http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC531ZM/A/apple-ipad-camera-connection-kit

  • P20-552: 2GB SD card doesn't work.

I have a P20-552 (PSP26E-025E9-S4) which is about 18 months old. I recently bought a Canon digital camera (IxUS 750) with a 2GB Sandisk Ultra II SD card and the combination is working well. Although I can transfer images from the camera to my Toshiba portable using an USB cable, sometimes I would like to use the SD slot on the portable but there seems to be a problem: seconds after pressing home the SD card in the slot I get the message "Disk is not formatted - Do you want to format it now?". I reply OK but then I get the message "The disk in drive E cannot be formatted"
The card continues to work perfectly well in both my camera and in my iPaq PocketPC. The SD card slot in the Toshiba will work quite happily with the Sandisk 256MB SD card that is usually in my PDA.
Anybody has any idea why the 2GB card doesn't work in the Toshiba? Is it a question of updating a driver - I did look the other day but I couldn't find anything that to me seemed appropriate but I might well have overlooked something..
I am running XP Home (SP2) and have fully automatic updates ON. I have Norton Virus and Zone Alarm running and am not experiencing any problems with any other software/applications - at least, no problem since someone suggested vacuuming my overheating laptop a few weeks ago ;-)
    Thanks, Brian.

It seems that the unit doesnt support this card.
Check your user manual. There you will find a information that this unit supports only the following SD card sizes: 8/16/32/64/128/256 and 512 MB
According to this document the 2 GB are to high.

  • 2GB SD Cards

My Palm Tx was reading from the 2GB cards until today when it fails to recognize them and instead does not pick up any of the files in the card or asks if I want to format the card which will result in loss of data! What should I do?
    Post relates to: Palm TX

Are you able to read the cards on a PC?

  • N80 with 2GB SD Card stoping for no reason

I have a N80 and are using a 2GB mini SD card. I have found that the music player plays a couple of tracks and then stops or a couple of seconds. It then resumes playing for about 2 seconds and then stops for good. Does anyone know what is causing this problem and how to stop it. It is beginning to get really annoying. It seems to happen fairly randomly.

Recently got a card reader and using this to transfer the music has solved the problem. No more stoppages and the transfer rate from the computer to the SD card is much faster.
