Tungsten T3 battery does not hold charge

My Tungsten T3 battery does not hold a charge. Can any one tell me if I can change the battery. If so where can I find out how to take it apart and where can I get a battery.

I upgraded to iOS 5 on my iphone 3gs now phone service (AT&T) constanly goes in and out and battery does not hold charge. Can someone help me?

It appears to be a bug in iOS5.  I have the same problem on the 3Gs and my new 4S.
    I eagerly await a patch......

  • My new Iphone's battery does not hold charge for long; do you have the same problem?

Greetings, I had a new iphone 4S -  bought March 2013, died suddenly September 2013. Iphone replaced by a new one, which seemed to work fine. Suddenly, noticed three days ago that the battery does not hold, even for one day, even with very little use. Charged battery yesterday morning, as it was dead, used phone a few times during the day, still had half batery full at bed time; this morning there was no battery at all - had discharged completely overnight doing nothing. Has anyone had this problem?
It means that I will have to travel a long way to the nearest store to have it looked at. Had already done this last September to replace a dead phone. One would have expected better quality and reliability from a Company like Apple.

Sounds like the battery needs replacing.  Bring the phone to Apple for battery diagnostics.

I have seen the batteries at BestBuy, perhaps not yours.
You can buy another same battery at another carrier, Tmobile or ATT as well.

  • New Battery does NOT hold Charge

I just received my new battery from the Battery Exchange Program - the battery is actually worse than my original, it is still HOT, and holds a charge for about 20 minutes - maybe 30 at the most - ?
What do I do? Does anyone else have this problem??
    thanks, Mark

My replacement battery did not even last one calibration cycle, as it never held a charge again at all.

Both of ours were replaced for a very similar issue, so it may be worth a try to give AppleCare a call.
If you already sent the recalled battery back, get a case I.D. from AppleCare for the defective replacement battery. If possible, ask someone at your local Apple store if they have any in stock instead of waiting for Apple to expidite one to you. Apple retail staff are able to expidite the exchage at the store level, but you must have a case I.D., since it is not the recalled battery they are replacing. I only suggest this route, because there is an estimated four to six week wait for replacement replacement batteries; however, it only took a little over three weeks for mine to ship.
I hope this reply helps provide some direction!

  • Battery does not hold charge for long time, battery does not hold charge for long time

The battery drains rather quickly after charging, with little use.

Without knowing how long rather quickly is and what little use is:
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Battery shows charging but stuck on 28% and does not hold charge

i am using HP DV6-6107tx, i got a new extended battery from anker which seemed to be running fine untill it discharged while i was playing watch dogs.
now my laptop wouldn't power on just on the battery, everything works fine if it is on charging, but the battery does not hold charge and my system powers off immediately on removing AC adapter. the battery shows "28% Charging" but does not increase or decrease the percentage even after hours of charging both while system is on and off.
i checked the battery in battery test from HP Support Assistant and it says that the battery status is ok, now i have tried the below methods with no luck :
power off and press power button methods.
uninstall and reinstall battery from device manager methods.
    battery check from HP Assistant.
    updating Bios to F.1b method.
    updating the HP Support Assistant.
and all the other methods i could think of or read on HP's site.
can anyone guide me as to what is the issue here ?       i don't have another machine to test my battery on, the charging lights are fine except that the light does not change color which it did on full charging the battery. i did try on 2 different adapters.
now if it were a motherboard or IC issue, would it not have said 'not charging' in windows ? in my case it says charging.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello, M_Bilal
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
That you for provided such a detailed post with what you've already completed, for the issue with your battery. I will try to guide you further.
I would like to provide you further documents for troubleshooting, but you've essentially completed what I have for this issue. The only step left, would be to test the battery.
You can do this with another battery, or in another notebook. I know you mention another machine, but if you know someone who does or someone who has a compatible battery. This would test that. You could even see if a local computer shop could test it.
The reason for this, is if the battery is the problem, it's much easier and more affordable replacement. Also, you mention it being new, might have warranty.
The other possible cause to the issue you've touched on, that would be the system board. Testing the above, would just confirm if this is the problem or not. From there you could decide on what you'd like to do.
I know, there really aren't many suggestions here, but I hope this can provide you with the next step.
Let me know how things go, with the route you choose to troubleshoot.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

When the new version of ISO6 will come ??? A lot of apps don't work correctly too.... :-(
    I'm a little bit disappointed...

Sounds like your iPhone is locked to your home carrier.
See if they offer unlocking and if you qualify. Otherwise,
there is nothing you can do besides rent/but a cheap

To show the battery percentage used go to settings
from there click general scroll to usage and select
scroll to bottom of page for battery usage select on.
This will show the icon battery and the percent numbers on the top right.
When phone is connected to an outlet sometimes it does not always show complete charge. I do not understand why but it is what it is.

  • Ipad does not hold charge

After upgrading my Ipad to the new system, when i charge it , Ipad does not hold the charge. It charges 100% but when I unplug it charge goes to zero.

Of course it is possible your battery has died.
It is also possible the iPad's battery measurement system is out of calibration.  If that is the case, continue using it until it stops.  Then charge it to 100 percent again using the wall charger.  That should recalibrate the iPad's battery monitor.
If that does not help, you can try resetting (rebooting) the iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

  • My iPod Classic 120GB is clicking and not turning on. It has been charged but does not hold charge. I am not able to restore factory settings. Error code and have tried troubleshooting options without success. Thoughts?

My iPod Classic 120GB makes a clicking noise when syncing with iTunes and will not sync. It will not turn on at this time and has been charged but does not hold the charge. After trying to sync, iTunes states that iPod must be restored. Have tried to do this but not successful, I receive an error code and have done the troubleshooting steps for the error and I am still not able to sync or use my iPod. HELP?

    Hi mafiose15,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Restoring your iPod to factory settings is the best way to try and get it back to working order. You can use the instructions below to restore it:
    How to restore iPod
Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
    Click Restore.
If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress bar will appear on the computer screen, indicating that stage one of the restore process has begun. When this stage is done, iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
During stage two of the restore process, the iPod displays an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remain connected to the computer or iPod power adapter during this stage.
Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see, because the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
After stage two of the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.
You can find the instructions in this article:

  • My battery is not holding charge

My battery is not holding any charge so when I unhook from charger it shuts down. Any ideas?

Yeah replace the battery. It has failed as all batteries do eventually.

  • Nov 2008 Battery - now not holding charge - is this grounds for a free one

As the tile suggests I dug my receipt out and I replaced my original battery with a new one for $170 in Nov 2008. Now the battery is cutting out at various stages ( 10, 20, 30 even 50% )and not holding charge despite attempts to calibrate, reset PVRAM etc etc etc.
Is this grounds for a replacement or just the natural life of the battery ?

The purpose of the forums is to ask and answer technical questions on OS X and other Apple products. Polling is forbidden. If you want to find users with similar problems then do a forum search rather than asking. Searching the forums is always the first thing you should do before posting a question.
Just so you won't think I'm being persnickety about this please read the Terms of Use by clicking on the link on the right of this page.
But specifically you are asking if you have grounds for a part replacement. No one here can answer that question because it is up to AppleCare or the vendor to make the determination. And such determinations are done on a case by case basis. Nothing you're told here in this regard is reliable.
