Tunnelling in IDOC To IDOC and payload size

Hi XI Experts,
We runned in a PI 7.0 SP13 an IDOC To IDOc scenario with non conversion XML (Tunnelling with IDOC/XML_CONVERSION parameter set). Refer to Michal Krawczyk blog : /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/21/xi-idoc-to-idoc-tunneling--how-fast-and-easy-can-you-get
All seems good : payload in message monitoring is flagged as 'application/x-sap.idoc.bin' et scenario works fine.
But we have 2 questions :
Q1 : in monitoring, payload document is displaied in right bottom window like XML representation....like an XML-converted document.
Q2 : value parameter 'SIZE_PAYLOAD' in message with non conversion XML is greater than....in conversion XML ?!?....
Thanks for yours responses.
Etienne

Hi
Please find here with you the clarification,
*Q1 : in monitoring, payload document is displaied in right bottom window like XML representation....like an XML-converted document.
the value is set to XML_CONVERSION parameter to value 2
a) 0 - Every IDoc is saved as a table; no IDoc-XML conversion
b) 1 - Every IDoc is converted to IDoc-XML
c) 2 - An IDoc is converted to IDoc-XML if requested by the service
Here the IDOC is internally be treated as IDOC-XML as you would be using the Business systems with SAP. And it depends upon the services.
Q2 : value parameter 'SIZE_PAYLOAD' in message with non conversion XML is greater than....in conversion XML ?!?....
The SIZE_PAYLOAD will be always more with non-conversion XML includes the header details also..(I am not sure with it).
Its better that you copy the XML Payload and save on local PC. Then check with its size.
thanks

  • Holding Idocs in XI and processing at once

    Hi
    I need to do a scenario where I need to collect all the Idocs from the sender system in the XI system at once and process them into only 1 XML file to the target system.
    can anyone tell me how can i hold all the idocs from the sender system in XI?
    If i do that is there any performance problem or anything?
    thanks
    Giridhar

    Giridhar,
    I think this very straight forward scenario using BPM.. Check out this blog for base on time interval.. you change for number of idocs as well to be collected at the same time..
    /people/daniel.graversen/blog/2006/09/07/using-a-bpm-to-collect-messages-for-a-set-interval-of-time
    But there is always performance issue if you try to collect idocs more than 1000-2000. Infact once payload size cross 15-20MB...its slow down your process...
    There is another way...you can create file in R/3 system itself before pushing data to XI..
    Check out this blog..

  • Sender Namespace and Sender Interface in the IDOC to IDOC scenario

    My question maybe very basic...
    It is SAP IDOC to SAP IDOC scenario.
    Lets assume that I have done config in XI for:
                 Sender  = A,
                 Interface = B,
                 Namespace = C.
    My question is:
    Is there a place in the source system or somewhere to point that
    when an IDOC e.g. DEBMAS is triggered in the source system,
    then the Interface should be B and  Namespace should be C in the xml file ?

  • Idoc to flatfile and mail

    Hello,
                 I have a scenario  where i am converting the idoc to file and mailing the same after converting it to flatfile .I have used TransformMessageBean for doing so.Now I need to implement the TO Field (mail )dynamically based on the payload.
    I tried to use the MultiMapping by using mail definition provided by XI ,but it results in mapping error.\
    Can somebody guide me on this.
    Thanks in Advance
    Rajesh

    Hello,
               I  have tried to do the same with the MessageTransformBean and two features are working fine independently.
    1. Converted the file into Flatfile and mail
    2. Execute the XSL Mapping for dynamic receiver.
    Now i want to combine both above features i.e after transforming the content to flatfile ,i need to sent this file to  recipient based on payload field.
    I tried to execute the same but i am stuck at XSLT error ,saying
    com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error in XSLT Conversion: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XMLParser: No data allowed here: (hex) 48, 44, 52(:main:, row:1, col:3):

    Hi,
    It is not clear to me if you are working with sapscript or smartforms.
    You have only to find a variable which identifies the kind of invoice
    I do not know that variable so i use an example variable
    for sapscript:
    /: IF &VBDKR-FKTYP& = '1'
    /  INVOICE
    /: ELSE
    /  SERVICE ORDER
    /: ENDIF.
    In a smartform you can also do something like that.
    but There you work with conditions (eq, BOOLEAN)
    You have only to find the right variable
    success,

  • IDocs for Invioce and Delivery

    Hi all,
    I have to send the customer the Invoice and Delivery confirmation for that order placed by him through an IDoc in background job.
    We are going for a standard IDoc for invoice and Delivery also but how to fill the data into that standard IDoc.
    1.Do we have standard report like (BD12, BD14, BD10 etc.)
    2.Should we develop a report to fill the data into that Idoc.
    Please help me to find standard report or please help me to write code for that standard IDoc.
    Thank you all in advance,
    Regards,
    Shalem.

    Hi Shalem,
    You need to do the following activities.
    - Setup condition record (t/code <b>NACE</b>) for shipping (V2) and billing (V3).
    - Setup output type (t/code <b>NACT</b>) for shipping (V2) and billing (V3) with transmission medium <b>A</b> (ALE).
    - Setup procedures (t/code <b>NACZ</b>) for shipping (V2) and billing (V3) if required.
    - Once the above setup are done, for any creation of billing and shipping will create entries into table <b>NAST</b> (Message Status).
    - Then you can create IDoc using this standard program <b>RSNAST00</b>. Please ensure your ALE and IDoc configuration have been done such as BD64, WE20, WE21 and etc.
    Hope this will help.

    Does anyone have completed STEP by STEP scenario document for this?
    How my Idoc will sent to XI?
    How XI will pick up data from IDoc?
    How XI will Convert data to JDBC and UPDATE in Oracle Database?
    And i reverse case(JDBC to IDoc) when my INTEGRATION will INVOKE?
    Where and When i can watch my process and data?
    How can i test the whole integration?

    Hi,
    Reprocessing IDocs with errors
    Outbound (BD88)
    Once the error has been determined and corrected it is not necessary to resend the IDoc again. You simply resend the IDocs that have already been generated.
    Using the IDoc overview screen you need to take note of the following for each IDoc that was not processed:
    Error number: 2, 4, 5, 25, 29
    Error number: 30 (Execute Check IDoc dispatch to process)
    IDoc number
    Using the Error number, the IDoc number and the transaction BD88 , with the required message type you can resend the IDoc. Match the error number with this transaction and execute the function for the IDocs incorrectly processed.

  • Tax and pricing info are not flowing into Idoc orders02-eledp04 and 05

    Hi,
    We are carrying out SRM5.5 -SUS and ECC6.0 Integration using PI 7.
    We are configuring for the MM-SUS Scenario.
    Now,to accomodate the Tax / Pricing we have installed the add on
    component LOCINSUS and we are having doubts on how to use it:
    1) Tax and pricing information are not flowing into IDOC- orders02
    (e1edp04 and e1edp05 segments are not present in the created IDOC). The
    condition print indicator in checked on ECC System and we have also
    implemented SAP note 995986.
    2)In create ASN transaction , we are not able to see the Excise Invoice
    Number and Date field in Basic data tab as expected from SAP Library
    document although we have installed the Localization Add on component.
    Please help us to reso1ve these issues,
    Regards,

    Mani,
    Did you resolve this issue, because we are having the same issue in ECC6 with IDoc ORDERS02.
    If you did resolve this issue could you please let us know how, much appreciated.

  • XSL mapping of ARTMAS IDoc - carriage returns and white space

    Hi all. I have tried all sorts here and am completely stuck. I am mapping an article master ARTMAS IDoc using XSL mapping and an extra carriage return and white space characters are being added to the FIELD1 and FIELD2 fields of the E1BPE1MARAEXTRT segment and I don't know why! These fields contain all our bespoke field values joined together so they are 229 and 250 characters long respectively, which I think is related to the problem. The mapping program looks like this:
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">
    <xsl:output method="xml" encoding="UTF-8" omit-xml-declaration="no" indent="yes"/>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <ARTMAS04>
    <IDOC>
      <xsl:copy-of select="//ARTMAS04/IDOC/EDI_DC40"/>
      <xsl:copy-of select="//ARTMAS04/IDOC/E1BPE1MATHEAD"/>
      <xsl:copy-of select="//ARTMAS04/IDOC/E1BPE1MARART"/>
      <xsl:copy-of select="//ARTMAS04/IDOC/E1BPE1MARAEXTRT"/>
      <xsl:copy-of select="//ARTMAS04/IDOC/E1BPE1MAKTRT"/>
      <xsl:for-each select="//ARTMAS04/IDOC/E1BPE1MARCRT">
        <xsl:if test="(PLANT='D100') or (PLANT='D200') or (PLANT='D300')">
          <xsl:copy-of select="."/>
        </xsl:if>
      </xsl:for-each>
      <xsl:copy-of select="//ARTMAS04/IDOC/E1BPE1MARMRT"/>
      <xsl:copy-of select="//ARTMAS04/IDOC/E1BPE1MEANRT"/>
    </IDOC>
    </ARTMAS04>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    I have a test IDoc going through this and the first 3 characters of the FIELD1 are "BIK". If I look at the source of the XML file, the problem area looks like this:
    <E1BPE1MARAEXTRT SEGMENT="1">
          <FUNCTION>004</FUNCTION>
          <MATERIAL>000000000000895649</MATERIAL>
          <b><FIELD1>
            BIK</b>      0  0.00 T                                    000000001CARRERA FURY 04 20"     CARRERA FURY 04 20" 2005092420040622    X                    00000000   20031104 00200406140000000000                    0.00 0000000
          </FIELD1>
    You can't really see it above, but there is a carriage return and 8 white spaces before the BIK. Where does this carriage return and white space come from?! Any help would be really appreciated - this is driving me crazy!
    Many thanks,
    Stuart Richards

    Stuart,
    I think I know the cause to your problem. I am not an XSLT programmer but based on searching this forum I found how I can acheive the carriage return at the end of my document. Your xsl statement is as follows:
    <xsl:output method="xml" encoding="UTF-8" omit-xml-declaration="no" indent="yes"/>
    Change the indent value from yes to no. This should remove the carraige return. Hope this works for you.
    I actually need a carriage return and line feed on my document so I am still stuck. All I have acheived is the carraige return.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi Sai,
    you can use XSLT or java mapping or adapter module to convert IDOC xml to XLS. Please refer the below blog
    Convert incoming XML to Excel or Excel XML – Part 1 - XSLT Way
    Convert incoming XML to Excel Sheet Part 2 – Adapter Module way
    Convert incoming XML to Excel Sheet

  • Receiving binary IDOC via Queue and convert it to XML-IDOC

    Hello,
    we are focusing the following scenario:
    We receive an plain, binary IDOC in a MQSeries Queue. We want to pick it, transform it and place it into R/3 (of course using XI 3.0). Afterwards the other way around.
    I know the Howto for the ABAP mapping from XML-Idoc to plain IDOC. This may also work for our scenario. Do you agree?
    The other way around is more difficult. I assume that - since the IDOC adapter resides in the ABAP stack - we cannot re-use an existant adapter module in the JMS adapter. Right?
    I heared about JCO capabilities of "xmlizing" Idocs - but did not find hints within the javadoc. Anyway, would this really be the preferred way - writing an user exit for the adapter using JCO - to handle this? There must be a way to do it better, must it not?
    How did you guys face this problem - I think its a common one...
    Any starting points for a discussion are appreciated....
    Greets,
    helge

    Hi Helge,
    For the conversion of the incoming flat message, one could imagine a similar ABAP mapping as the one described for the XML->flat message conversion. The function module IDX_IDOC_TO_XML could be a good starting point for your search.
    To perform conversions in the Java stack (e.g. in an adapter module) might be a quite complex task since you first have to get the IDoc metadata. And there you cannot reuse existing function modules.
    Best regards
    Joachim

  • IDoc to webservice and get the response back into another IDoc.

    Hi guys
    We have a scenario where we need to send an IDoc to webservice and get the response back into another IDoc.
    Questions:
    1. Is this scenario possible without a BPM? or do we need to use BPM (Sync-Async bridge).
    2. Is there a Async to Sync bridge in BPM?
    3. How do I use this bridge in my scenario and customize it?
    4. If not possible, provide me the related docs using BPM for the same scenario.

  • IDOC --BPM--IDOC AND FILE

    Hi Experts,
    My scenario is idoc to idoc and file through BPM.
    so I hve one integration process and 2 receiver.The prob is frm IP it is pointing to only file not to IDOC
    1) 1 sender agreement
    2) 3 receiver determination
    3) 3 interface determination
    please help me out..

    Why are you using BPM for this?it is not good design.
    If you want to still use bpm then
    1)1 receive step,
    2)2 transformations steps(if or are executing Operation mapping in IP).
    3)2 send steps.
    check your BPM design and monitor Integration process work flow.
