Tuple value Update

Hi Experts,
Main table has tuple which has some data already in it.Now i want to import some records in such a way that the data previously existing should be deleted completely and only the new records should get updated in tuple.
In Import manager in matching tab i have mapped the fields,Set tuple update as New records as "Create" and Existing records as "Replace",
In merging tab i have set the action to Update mapped fields only and done the import but the prevous data is not deleted instaed it is getting added.
Kindly help me regarding this

Hi,
It is still the same.I tried the same in 2 ways.
Firstly after mapping the fields when i open update Tuple pop up window all the required fields were selected for matching in matching fields.Then i did merging step and then import.The data dint get uploaded in data manager.
Secondly when i opened Tuple update pop up window form matching field column to available fields column and the inported the data got imported abut the previous data did not get deleted,instaed it added on to that data.
In both cases i maintained as "Create" and "Replace " in the pop up window.
I dont know whether it is a bug or but I am palnning to try this out in MDM 7.1 SP06.
By the time let me know if i am doing the correct way

Dear All,
I have created one asset for Good will as on 01.02.2010 (go live date 01.02.2010) by using AS91, and i updated APC cost and Acum Depreciation for Dep area 50 - Eco. Depreciation only.
Right now my client want to add some new values (because of wrong value updated at the time of take over values)
How can i do the additions for those assets. i have total 4 Dep. areas but this asset have only one dep. area 50 - Eco. Dep. , more over they run the Dep. for last year (FY - 1st Jan. to 31 Dec.) Please suggest me.

I have done all those things, and we updated some values for Good Will with Negative sign, but right now we have to add some Negative value in the same asset.
EX: Asset no. 10001
take over values 100000
actual value 250000
Right now i have to add 150000 in that asset

No Quantity/ value update at Movement type

Hello All,
At Material type level with valuation area SAP controls check / uncheck Quantity/ Value updating (OMS2)
In our specific business scaenraios, we use material type (HALB) with valuation area combination with / without Quanity & Value updating. Hnece, above setting will not work in our scenario.
is it possible to have control of Quantity/ Value updating by using a custom movement (ex: copy of 101 to 1Z1)?

Sort key '011' (site number) without value update in FI document

Hi
With regards to vendor master already with sort key 011(site number) was maintained. However, there is always no values update on assignment field in the accounting document. The accounting document was integrated thru MM module when logistic invoice verification done thru tcode MIRO.

Hi ,
As you are using Std sort key,there should be no problem as there is no other setting other than maintaining the sortkey in the GL.
Please Check the Sort key of the Gl in FS00 which is hitting from MIRO and also confirm that you have maintain the Plant in the concern MM transactions you are referring.

i create a PO (with account assignment) with a material belongs to a material type has not set quantity and value updating. i get a material document when i do goods receipt against this purchase order. i know there will no quantity and value update, but i wonder where the data is stored. please give me some clue.

Hi David,
When you are creating PO with qty & value updating untick, system will ask for account assignment mandatory (ex: K cost centre) while creating PO & when you do GR the qty part will go to cost centre consumption & value will be booked for that cost centre used. you can see controlling document in GR, for PO without cost cenre you see accounting entries here you see cost centre entries.

Can MDM web service search results be filtered by tuple values?

We are currently working with MDM 7.1 SP03 and Netweaver 7.0. Right now, there is a requirement to return a material record from MDM to a Web Dynpro form using the MDM search web service. The other requirement is that the form user can search for a material using material number, sales org and dist channel. Currently, the results include all sales org/dist channel combinations in the material record. Is there a way to filter the results so that only the specified sales org and dist channel are returned to the form by using the web service? For example, if a material record has 2 sales orgs with different dist channels and the user is only interested in one, is it possible for the web service to return the material record and only the one sales org? Or, does this need to be handled by the form? Thanks for any input.

currently there is no filter functionality in MDM Web services 7.1 for tuple values or qualified
lookup values.
For the next MDM release we are planning to have a new operation for retrieving multi tuple
values as standalone operation, by which the user will be able to filter the
tuple values by member field's criteria.

Normally you update your cost center planning in by following steps:
1- Overhead planning by KP06, you enter cost centes, cost elements and values (Can be manual or automatic through uploading of BDC"
2- Upload your planning hirarchy and sales planning (COPA)
3- Transfer sales value from COPA to SOP by KE1K
4- Run LTP (long term planning. MC8G,MS01
5- Transfer activity from LTP . KSPP
6- Post statistical Key Figures (SKF). KP46
7- Reconciliation of activity . KPSI
8- Splitting of activity. KSS4
9- Price Calculation. KSPI
following above steps will update KSBT automatically. On the other hand, if you know you activity rates and you want to update KSBT manually you can do that in KP26.

Mouse wheel value update

Hello everyone
I am trying to get the value from "mouse scroll" changed by mouse wheel. The attached code is very simple and seems to be right wired, but it's not working properly. If you run the VI and scroll up and down mouse wheel, you will see that sometimes the value is updated on the indicator, sometimes don't. If you keep using the mouse wheel always on the same direction (i.e. up), the value on the indicator starts to increase but not after every single roll of the mouse wheel. Seems like a lack of sync between the while loop execution and the mouse wheel usage.
Any ideas how to trigger the loop just after mouse wheel usage? I have to sync them.

I got your Vis and did some modifications to adjust them to my code and everything is working like a charm. But I would like to understand what's going wrong with my code (the one that I attached on the first message of this thread). I did a very very very simple code that was supposed to do the jog, but it is not working. As I roll the mouse wheel the value on the indicator does not update in sync with the mouse wheel (sometimes it updates, sometimes don't). If I have my code working I can put it inside an event structure on the timeout case and use:
Mouser Enter array - feed timeout with 10ms
Mouse Leave array - feed timeout with -1ms
Anyway, thanks for your code.
Please, help me to understand what's wrong with mine.
Aested, my VI works on my computer too, but the value on the indicator does not update in sync with all movements of mouse wheel.

Qty and value update

hi all sapians,
Can any one give me a very clear idea or story behind the check boxes of quantity and value update in OMS2 and for some material there boxes are checked and for some materials boxes are not selected.

Quantity Updating Specifies that the material is managed on a quantity basis in the material master record for the relevant valuation area.
Value Update: Specifies that the material is managed on a value basis in the material master record for the valuation area concerned.
The values are updated in the respective G/L accounts at the same time.
as you said at for some material there boxes are checked and for some materials boxes are not selected
the Qty and Value are updated based on valuation area
Valuation Area
Organizational level at which the material is valuated. A valuation area can be one of the following:
Plant: All plants belonging to a company code, in which case the valuation area is the company code
1: Based on valuation area and as required some material types are selected and some are not
2: Based on material Type we select Qty and Value updation: like for NORM for your valuation area (and also might be for plant valuation) all boxes are selected and for material type KMATConfigurable materials it is not selcted

Material Type value update activation

There is a requirement to convert a material type from only qty update to Value update . The transactions like procurement and consumption are happening for this material type .
In case , Value update is also activated for this material type and accounting view is created for these materials , what will be the implications during the cut over activities .

Hi,
It is very well possible to have materials with value updation only.
It is useful when no inventory i.e no stock is to be maintained. Only value is the required.
For eg: Pipeline material is directly consumed. No inventory is required to be maintained against it.
Such materials are also called as non-stockable materials.
These materials will always be procured against an account assigment category in PO. The value is directly posted to Consumption Account picked via Acc *** Category during GR.
No stock/inventory account will be posted during GR.

RG1 value update on Sales

Hi Gurus,
After a complete Domestic Sales process, RG1 register should be updated with quantity and value for goods removal from factory . In standard after updating ,extracting and retrieving the final report it is being noticed that value is not getting updated , only quantity is getting updated.
