Turkish tts support for s60 v3 &s60 v3.1

Dears,
I own one e90 commi and one e61i and using them flawlessly.
I am living in Turkey.
I am using text to speech function for emails and sms mesages in English while driving, it is a very useful function.
Hence I am living in Turkey, most of my messages are obviously in Turkish.Unfortunately messages in Turkish are completely meaningless when they are read in English language and accent.
When I check Nokia's text to speech support page, I realized that there is Turkish language modules for S60 v3.2 phones like e75, n78, n79, n85, n96, so on, however there is no turkish language support for s60 v3 and s60 v3.1 phones (i.e. e61i and e90).
Is it possible to implement the language support for v3.2 phones to v3 & v3.1 phones?
Do you have an idea about it?
And one question to nokia guys; there are many nokia phones sold in Turkey (you know sales figures better than me), why dont you support Turkish tts for older phones?

As I know, 2.1 version doesn't work with Tuxedo Corba on RH AS3.0.

Is there any target for support of RedHat v3 for Tuxedo? Or is it alreadysupported
(that is, will the 2.1 binary version work on v3)?
Thanks,
Rick

  • Turkish Language Support for iPhone

    When will
    Turkish Language Support for iPhone and
    Turkish Keyboard Support for iPhone
    Turkish Auto-Correction and Turkish Dictionary
    be available?

    Yes, Apple never responds such questions. I also sent them feedback on their web site (http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html). No response.
    Happily though, Apple released iPhone firmware 2.2. And with that Turkish language support and Turkish Keyboard support (sort of) are available at last! (Several months later Apple officially released iPhone in Turkey!)
    Turkish Keyboard support is sort of available because it is not a real keyboard. You can see and use Turkish characters only by pressing your finger on their english counterparts and waiting a while. Auto correction for Turkish language is not available yet.
    PS: I do not wait a response from Apple. I just want to hope that some folks from Apple may be reading these discussions.
    thanks

  • Turkish language support for Touch ?

    My father-in-law is returning back to Turkey soon and has been eyeing the Touch/iPhone. I know the iPhone would be a lost cause for him over there, but maybe the Touch could work.
    Is there any plans to get Turkish language support on the Touch (other than the hacks I see on usenet which I would rather not try). Tangental to that is there or will there be a iTunes store for Turkey ?
    thanks
    -jeff

    Well, the "Turkish" option in the Settings/General/International/Regional Format/ is only for the regional settings.. like the time is displayed without the AM/PM and the calendar shows months/days in Turkish, its limited to time&date at the moment. WE hope that Apple will soon provide some other languages' support to iPhone.
    For typing It would be great if the Turkish Qwerty Keyboard and Turkish smart dictionary service could be enabled, but until then you need to keep on pressing longer to the letters and then choosing the character you want and press on the "cancel" button when the iPhone suggests you a different word in "english" when you typed correctly in Turkish. The annoying part with that is when you press the "space" bar it automatically "corrects" the word, thats perfect when you type in English, but with that feature enabled its almost a torture to type in Turkish it automatically makes the word "wrong", i.e. when you type "EK" its offers you "SO" pressing the space makes it "SO" . With a couple of manual corrections it learns most of the words but still not enough. . With more Turks buying the iPhone Apple really should add some Turkish language support to it.

    Do the new maps all come with like 5-D layering or something that old phones do not support or what is it?
    Whilst S60 5th Ed. & Symbian S^3 have the benefit of 00.02.50.103 map series with an extra transportation layer, earlier devices probably do not have sufficient resources to run Nokia Maps v3.06 and onwards.
    As my N95 has been supported for nearly seven years in this respect, I feel that Nokia have more than honored their promise of lifetime updates although even if updated just once per calendar year would not now be unreasonable.
    Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

  • Turkish support for sentiment analysis

    Hello,
    in many web pages it says
    "Oracle Endeca Server supports following languages:
    Catalan, Chinese (simplified/traditional), Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish"
    Does this mean Turkish is also supported for sentiment analysis? I could not find Turkish in Endeca documentation.
    Thanks..

    I'm assuming that you are using the Text Enrichment component in the Integrator ETL product. In that component, the Sentiment Analysis feature uses the Salience Engine from Lexalytics. The languages supported by the Salience Engine are listed here:
    Multi-Lingual Support | Lexalytics
    Turkish is not one of the supported languages.

  • Flash lite 2.x support for nokia n80?

    I downloaded and installed the Flash Lite 2.1 standalone
    player for the Nokia N80 from this page:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=flashlite2%5F1%5Fsymbian%5Fdownload
    I am able to run Flash Lite 1.1 SWFs fine but get
    "installation not supported" for 2.x SIS files and "unable to open.
    file corrupted" messages for 2.x SWFs. These files run fine on my
    Nokia 6682 handset.
    Is 2.0 or 2.1 supported for the N80? I noticed that it
    doesn't appear to be through the Adobe Device Central CS3 but the
    Flash Lite Player download page implies that it is.
    Thanks.

    Just tried installing Flash Lite 2.1 Standalone Player S60
    V2.0 FP2 and S60 V2.0 FP3 and was not allowed to install either on
    the handset so I think the one I downloaded and installed is
    correct. Flash Lite Player 2 is not installed on this phone.
    Any other possible reason why the Flash Lite apps won't run?
    Does the phone need a firmware or other update? Also, I am by
    sending the SWFs via bluetooth as SMS messages--that shouldn't
    matter, should it? Or do I need to go the long route by
    transferring it via usb?

  • Post purchase support for non English speaking countries

    I purchased a HP Deskjet Ink advantage 4625 printer in Dec 2013. Installation was unusally hard and I had to get online support for this. Since January I find that the wireless printing option (which is the reason I bought this printer) does not work. So for 2 months have been trying to get support and have failed. In Turkey suport is in Turkish so I can call the customer support number. If I go online to the HP support page and answer I purchased the device in Turkey it takes me to the Turkish page!
    So completely frustrated by the lack of service options, and the continuiing problem on this issue. I need help.

    Greetings in Turkey,
    I have requested help for you.    I have explained the situation as I understand it; hopefully someone will be able to get back to you soon.
    Below are the support pages for your printer as I find them.   If they "stick" in English, then the information may prove useful for you.

  • Language Support for Content in Air

    We are developing an app for displaying content in a number
    of languages. Can we assume that any language that can be viewed in
    a web browser can also be viewed properly in an Air app?
    There are a few languages that
    Air
    ships with, which allow a user to read dialog boxes and
    messages in their own native language. However, I imagine that more
    languages can be supported for the display of content within an
    app. E.g. a user may be using the English version of Air, viewing
    content in Urdu. Our app will show content from numerous UTF-8
    encoded Atom feeds.
    The specific languages that we need to support are:
    * Farsi (Persian)
    * Arabic
    * Urdu
    * Hindi
    * Turkish
    * Vietnamese
    * English
    * Spanish
    * Brazilian Portuguese
    * Ukrainian
    * Russian
    * Indonesian
    * Chinese Simplified
    * Chinese Traditional
    Will all of these be fine? Is there anything that we need to
    bear in mind during development?
    Thanks a lot for your help.

    Such as history says, today decision will verify in the future, remove the support ARMV6 maybe was good desition in the past but is wrong today, Adobe remove armv6 support since Air 2.6, this version was delivery few months later after Apple delivery iPhone4 where repplace the armv6
    "armv6 Support
    Because an armv7 processor is required to run versions of iOS later than 4.2.1, setting the "iOS Deployment target" to 4.3 or later means you no longer have to build your app for armv6."
    . So maybe that was argument. This are the links (http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/archived-air-sdk-version.html, http://helpx.adobe.com/air/release-note/release-notes-air-developers-2.html, http://helpx.adobe.com/air/release-note/release-notes-developer-air-2-1.html, http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#qa/qa1623/_index.html, )
    But after 1year of their desition samsung delivery new and potential medium smarthphones such as Samsung Ace (most popular en Latin America, http://blog.gsmarena.com/galaxy-ace-and-gio-become-the-first-armv6-smartphones-to-get-cm10 -ports/).
    So Adobe is loss  mobile war if continue in the line not support armv6 because each year new phones support armv6 with Android.
    Well, appart of the history, alot of clients, users and developers find the way to install air, Adobe can see this link: http://www.chileandroid.com/t6513-adobe-flash-player-11-armv6-solo-instalar-el-apk and this link http://forums.adobe.com/thread/962678 or this link https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/flashcodersny/CDvoxZaefVQ
    Finally, some other technologies look long live for armv6 and maybe grown spectrum such as firefox: http://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2013/01/11/firefox-for-android-beta-adds-additional -armv6-support/
    Today, the support Air into BB10 is very excited, we are near to finish do few changes in order to sopport that platform and the espectation of our customer are growing every time.

  • Winforms support for Localization and RTL

    Hi ,
    Does SAP Crystal Reports supports Winforms with the following  Localization support for the fallowing languages:-
    Arabic
    Czech
    Danish
    Dutch
    English
    Estonian
    Finish
    French

    Norwegian
    Polish
    Portuguese
    Rumanian
    Russian
    Spanish
    Swedish
    Turkish
    Ukraine
    China
    For supporting Arabic langauge , is there any RTL (Right To Left) format support.
    Thanks,
    Prasanna

    Hi ,
    I have vistied the site http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/bi and looking for Localization and Globalization information , also looked into CR2011 user guide,
    http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/CR2011/en/xi4_cr_usergde_en.pdf
    as mentioned , didnt see any information on Localization and Globalization.
    I need intial information , if Crystal Reports supports localization with RTL (Right to Left) for the listed languages. Once this information is in hand , i can go furthure and make my hands wet with samples.
    I need this information for WinForms and HTML (for WebPages) , I am not sure how different they are inside CR2010 , but for sure externally WinForms reports and HTML Reports (for WebPages) are different.
    Thanks

  • Glitch: Turkish keyboard support

    Hello, everyone. There's a glitch in the Turkish keyboard support. I enabled the Turkish language in Settings. All of the Turkish letters work except for the "i" with and without the dot. By holding down "i," I can get both lower-case versions (although the menu shows you opposite from what you get: i gets you ı and ı gets you i). That's fine; I can work around that. However, the uppercase i does NOT give the "i" with the dot. It is not full keyboard support if a letter from the alphabet is missing!
    Does anyone know when this serious glitch will be corrected? (It'd also be nice if they fixed the switched lowercase i options, too.)
    Thank you,
    Tanya

    Nevermind--I figured it out. Although a number of foreign characters appear when you hold down a letter key, it's not a complete list of options. You need to click on the world icon to the left of the spacebar to change the keyboard during that session. You'll see the spacebar briefly flash with the name of the language you're changing it to.
    Take care,
    Tanya

  • Lack of support for Canon G7 and G9. Alternatives?

    I am really disappointed about the lack of support for the Canon G9, and looking at the list of compatible cameras (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306835) I notice that Canon G7 - even if it does not have a RAW format, is not supported either.
    I am thinking that the purchase of the G9 may have been premature and that I may need to sell it and get another cam that is supported by Apple/Aperture.
    What would you guys do? Is there a cam out there similar to the G9 at the moment that has a Apple-supported RAW format?
    Best regards,
    Kjell Are Refsvik

    I think the camera closest to the G9 that has RAW support from Apple are the Panasonic DMC-LX2/Leica D-Lux 3 twins. Don't know where you are, but in the US, the Panasonic costs about $400. 10MP, 28-112mm (35mm equivalent) Leica lens, very compact body, and RAW output. The Leica costs $599, and has that classic look.
    I don't know much about that cameras, but you may want to investigate.
