Turn a light on.

Can actionscript pass a number to a preloaded .dll file in the format      longinteger.longinteger.
I need to turn lights on at various points while a flash video is playing.

The reason is that the light is not shining on the text.
Three solutions:
1. Point the light at the text
2. Add a new light and shine it on the text
3. Twirl down the properties for the text layer and set it to not be affected by comp lights.

I have my TC in my Bedroom, So the light can be bright. Is there any way to turn the light off?

The light cannot be turned off, but if you stop by at the office supply store and get a sheet of small 1/2" white routnd labels, you can place a few over the light to dim it significantly. Add more labels as needed to adjust for the brightness level you want to achieve.
Of course, you could use a piece of tape, but the white labels look much nicer and won't be noticeable once you get 4-5 feet away from the device.

  • How to turn of light on "On and Off" on NB200

I have a mini nb200 and there is a light on the power on and off button in the middle, and I wondered if it is possible to turn that light OFF!
    It's a very annoying light! :P

It's only one solution to this.. Take off the batterypack. Then you will see 3 screws. Open them, and the plastic piece with the powerbutton will fall off. Then just crush the litle white led with at screwdriver or something. Then put everything back, and you won't see the light anymore!

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement.

I've tried everything: Power Down, Reboot, delete to uninstall and reinstall app, turn off in tray, etc.
    Nothing works.

I cannot see your screen shots for some reason, but here's a suggestion:
Open iTunes on your computer, look at your playlists there.  Go to your "Voice Memos" playlist, delete all its contents, and then sync your iPhone to iTunes.

  • 4gen 20g will not turn on, light up, or connect

I recently bought a 4gen 20g iPod and today it was working fine. I took it with me a few places, and was listning to music. I got home, set it on my counter, and now it will not turn on, light up, or connect to a computer. It seems to be 100% dead. I have pushed all the buttons (the reset commands, menu buttons, etc.) my "lock" is not enabled, and the battery was half-way charged (although i have tried to turn it on while plugged in as well). Anyone got any ideas? tomarrow I leave for mexico at 4:30am PST and I'm going to be ****** if my iPod is broken.

    Try these.
    iPod won't turn on.
    iPod battery doesn't charge.
Your Windows PC doesn't recognize the iPod is connected.
iPod shows only an Apple logo and doesn't start up.
When restoring the iPod, it's often useful to put it into disk mode first.

If a sad iPod icon or an exclamation point and folder icon appears on your iPod’s screen, or with sounds of clicking or HD whirring, it is usually the sign of a hard drive problem and you have the power to do something about it now. Your silver bullet of resolving your iPod issue – is to restore your iPod to factory settings.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60983
If you're having trouble, try these steps at different levels one at a time until the issue is resolved. These steps will often whip your iPod back into shape.
Make sure you do all the following “TRYs”
    A. Try to wait 30 minutes while iPod is charging.
    B. Try another FireWire or USB through Dock Connector cable.
    C. Try another FireWire or USB port on your computer .
    D. Try to disconnect all devices from your computer's FireWire and USB ports.
    E. Try to download and install the latest version of iPod software and iTunes
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
For old and other versions of iPod updater for window you can get here
    http://www.ipodwizard.net/showthread.php?t=7369
    F. Try these five steps (known as the five Rs) and it would conquer most iPod issues.
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/
    G. Try to put the iPod into Disk Mode if it fails to appear on the desktop
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651
If none of these steps address the issue, you may need to go to Intermediate level listed below in logical order. Check from the top of the lists to see if that is what keeping iPod from appearing on your computer in order for doing the Restore.
    Intermediate Level
    A. Try to connect your iPod with another computer with the iPod updater pre-installed.
    B. Still can’t see your iPod, put it in Disk Mode and connect with a computer, instead of doing a Restore on iPod Updater. Go and format the iPod instead.
    For Mac computer
    1. Open the disk utility, hope your iPod appears there (left hand side), highlight it
    2. Go to Tab “Partition”, click either “Delete” or “Partition”, if fails, skip this step and go to 3
    3. Go to Tab “Erase” , choose Volume Format as “MAC OS Extended (Journaled), and click Erase, again if fails, skip it and go to 4
    4. Same as step 3, but open the “Security Options....” and choose “Zero Out Data” before click Erase. It will take 1 to 2 hours to complete.
    5. Eject your iPod and do a Reset
    6. Open the iTunes 7 and click “Restore”
    For Window computer
    Go to folder “My Computer”
Hope you can see your iPod there and right click on the iPod
Choose “Format”. Ensure the settings are at “Default” and that “Quick Format” is not checked
    Now select “Format”
Eject your iPod and do a Reset
Open the iTunes 7 and click “Restore”
In case you do not manage to do a “Format” on a window computer, try to use some 3rd party disk utility software, e.g.“HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool”.

    C. Windows users having trouble with their iPods should locate a Mac user. In many cases when an iPod won't show up on a PC that it will show up on the Mac. Then it can be restored. When the PC user returns to his computer the iPod will be recognized by the PC, reformatted for the PC, and usable again. By the way, it works in reverse too. A Mac user often can get his iPod back by connecting it to a PC and restoring it.
    Tips
    a. It does not matter whether the format is completed or not, the key is to erase (or partly) the corrupted firmware files on the Hard Drive of the iPod. After that, when the iPod re-connected with a computer, it will be recognized as an fresh external hard drive, it will show up on the iTunes 7.
    b. It is not a difficult issue for a Mac user to find a window base computer, for a PC user, if they can’t find any Mac user, they can go to a nearest Apple Shop for a favor.
    c. You may need to switch around the PC and Mac, try to do several attempts between “Format” and “Restore”

    Advance Level
    A. Diagnostic mode solution
If you have tried trouble shooting your iPod to no avail after all the steps above, chances are your iPod has a hardware problem. The iPod's built-in Diagnostic Mode is a quick and easy way to determine if you have a "bad" iPod.
You need to restart your iPod before putting it into Diagnostic Mode. Check that your hold switch is off by sliding the switch away from the headphone jack. Toggle it on and off to be safe.
Press and hold the following combination of buttons simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds to reset the iPod.
    iPod 1G to 3G: "Menu" and "Play/Pause"
iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): "Menu" and "Select"
The Apple logo will appear and you should feel the hard drive spinning up. Press and hold the following sequence of buttons:
iPod 1G to 3G: "REW", "FFW" and "Select"
iPod 4G+ (includes Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini): "Back" and "Select"
You will hear an audible chirp sound (3G models and higher) and the Apple logo should appear backwards. You are now in Diagnostic Mode. Navigate the list of tests using "REW" and "FFW". The scroll wheel will not function while in diagnostic mode. For further details on Diagnostic mode can be found at http://www.methodshop.com/mp3/ipodsupport/diagnosticmode/
Try to do the 5in1, HDD R/W and HDD scan tests. Some successful cases have been reported after the running the few tests under the Diagnostic mode. In case it does not work in your case, and the scan tests reports show some errors then it proves your iPod has a hardware problem and it needs a repairing service.
    B. Format your iPod with a start disk
I have not tried this solution myself, I heard that there were few successful cases that the users managed to get their iPod (you must put your iPod in disk mode before connecting with a computer) mounted by the computer, which was booted by a system startup disk. For Mac, you can use the Disk Utility (on the Tiger OS system disk), for PC user, you can use the window OS system disk. Try to find a way to reformat your iPod, again it does not matter which format (FAT32, NTFS or HFS+) you choose, the key is to erase the corrupted system files on the iPod. Then eject your iPod and do a Reset to switch out from Disk Mode. Reboot your computer at the normal way, connect your iPod back with it, open the iPod updater, and hopefully your iPod will appear there for the Restore.
If none of these steps address the issue, your iPod may need to be repaired.
Consider setting up a mail-in repair for your iPod http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/
Or visit your local Apple Retail Store http://www.apple.com/retail/
In case your iPod is no longer covered by the warranty and you want to find a second repairing company, you can try iPodResQ or ifixit at your own risk
    http://www.ipodresq.com/index.php
    http://www.ifixit.com/
Just in case that you are at the following situation
    Your iPod warranty is expired
You don’t want to pay any service charges
You are prepared to buy a new one
You can’t accept the re-sell value of your broken iPod
Rather than leave your iPod as paper-weight or throw it away.
You can try the following, but again, only do it as your last resort and at your own risk.
Warning !!!! – It may or may not manage to solve your problem, and with a risk that you may further damage your iPod, which end up as an expensive paper weight or you need to pay more higher repairing cost. Therefore, please re-consider again whether you want to try the next level
    Last Resort Level
    1. . Disconnecting the Hard Drive and battery inside the iPod – Warning !! Your iPod warranty will be waived once you open the iPod.
In Hong Kong there are some electronic shops offering an iPod service for Sad iPod, the first thing they do is to open up the iPod’s case and disconnecting the battery and the Hard Drive from the main board of the iPod. Wait for 5-10 minutes and reconnecting them back. The reason behind which I can think of is to do a fully reset of a processor of the iPod. In case you want do it itself and you believe that you are good on fixing the electronics devices and have experience to deal with small bits of electronic parts, then you can read the following of how to open the iPod case for battery and HDD replacement (with Quicktimes)
    http://eshop.macsales.com/tech_center/index.cfm?page=Video/directory.html
2.Press the reset button on the Hard Drive inside the iPod – Suggestion from Kill8joy
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2438774#2438774
Have I tried these myself? No, I am afraid to do it myself as I am squeamish about tinkering inside electronic devices, I have few experiences that either I broke the parts (which are normally tiny or fragile) or failed to put the parts back to the main case. Therefore, I agree with suggestion to have it fixed by a Pro.

I am not suggesting that you should follow as well, but just read them as your reference. You are the person to make the call.
Finally, I read a fair comments from dwb, regarding of slapping the back of the iPod multiple times
Quote “This has been discussed numerous times as a 'fix'. It does work, at least for a while. In fact I remember using the same basic trick to revive Seagate and Quantam drives back in the mid to late 1980's. Why these tiny hard drives go bad I don't know - could be the actuator gets stuck in place or misaligned. Could be the platter gets stuck or the motor gets stuck. 'Stiction' was a problem for drives back in the 80's. Unfortunately the fix can cause damage to the platter so we temporarily fix one problem by creating another. But I know of two instances where a little slap onto the table revived the iPods and they are still worked a year or more later.”UnQuote

  • How to turn the light on on a Satellite P300-23V + user guide on CD

I wonder how you turn the light on on a SATELLITE P300-23V?
I mean the light that show a lightbar above the touchpad and and the name Satellite is lit up too.
In the manual it says how to do it with the thin remote controll but there is no on this model.
I know I have been able to turn of/on the light with some key combination before but now I can't find it now.
I have upgraded from Vista 32bit to Windows 7 64bit and maybe some Thoshiba features was lost doing that?
I have also lost my CD with the more extended user guide. I have searched for it on the download area but it seems not be there for downloading.
Any hints how to get it?

    This forum is great!
    The answers comes so quickly!
Thank you for your answers. They solved both my problems.
I could have sworn that I used some buttons on the keypad to light up the lamps but apparantly not.
I found it in the BIOS as you said and it works.
And now I also have the user guide which is more extended than the printed one.
    Once again: THANX!

  • How to Create a trigger code for turning on light bulbs in flash and animate images professional cs6

    hi,
i designed a very interactive music website in illustrator and photoshop and i am trying to animate the main page design in flash professional and eventually publish it as HTML5. There are couple of questions i need to ask before starting
    1) should i import my design in differnet layers from illustrator into flash professional in order to make it easier to isolate and animate specific parts of the web page?
    2) i want to have a roll over effect that allows certain features in the page to turn on and off when the mouse hovers over them. can you explain how to do that? any tutorial videos i could follow
    3) what format should i use when importing my illustrator design into flash professional
    4) how should i animate the content pop out from the safe box into the main screen in flash professional (i have never used this program before, so i will be going off video tutorials and whatever suggestions/help you would have)
**The idea is to have a content frame fly out of the safe into the screen (the size will increase rapidly and it will fade into the screen as well while rotating 360 degrees for one revolution). The content is a basic rectangular frame i designed in illustrator. The body of this frame will be transparent allowing me to embed the main page features into it eg music, videos, bio etc. All this will be done in the later process, the main issue is figuring out how to animate the content frame into the screen and also creating a click feature that allows the content to fly back into the safe and then the safe closing in.
Secondly, the trigger code rollover effect that allows certain features light to turn on when the mouse hovers over it and turn over when its not.****

I think you'll get most flexibility by turning on the feature that lets you keep your Illustrator layers as Flash layers. You'll also want to check the box that lets you make an Illustrator object into a MovieClip for anything that you want to interact with or address through code.
Add an event listener for MOUSE_OVER that triggers whatever functions you need to create to turn on the features. This means that your object that you will mouse over will need to be a MC, as well as any other objects that will be addressed (for example, calling play()) will need to be a MC. You'll want to have a matching MOUSE_OUT handler that stops MC's, hides them, or whatever.
You should probably organize your Illustrator file so that the objects you need to address are on their own layers. This includes nested objects. Name things informatively. Remember, if the first import doesn't give you exactly what you want, you don't have to save the change--you can edit your settings or the Illustrator file and try again.
Look into motion tweens. I highly recommend the books "How to Cheat at Flash" and "Animation with Scripting." I don't really think the way they tell you to script will advance your career if you want to be a software architect, but if you just want to animate the occasional widget, it's fine.

  • Bootcamp 2.1 with WIndows XP SP3 can't turn keyboard light off

Hi I've installed bootcamp 2.1 on my macbook pro 13 (june 2009 model) and the operation went smoothly.
After I install bootcamp drivers everything work like a dream eject button, screen brightness control apart from the keyboard light which I can't turn if off, the light set to the lowest and everything I boot into windows the light goes back to the maximum
Anyone know how to control/disable the keyboard light
I've tried macbook tray tools but doesnt work (freeze after lanuch)
    Thank you

I found a quick fix solution.
if I kill the process kbdmgr.exe then the keyboard light will go off and leave the display brightness the same as your setting which is fine for me.
but the volumn controls and eject button will not work I will have to do it from the windows interface rather than the keyboard

  • N95 turn flash light on,and can't turn it off- Pro...

Hi, I have N95-1 firmware v21.0.016. I didn’t decide yet to update new v30, because some reviews I thought that it’s better to skip this and wait next.
The problem I experience with my device is that some time (it’s happened few times) in ordinary use (not camera use), my flash light (camera light) turn on and wont turn off even if I turn phone off. I tried removing the battery and the light goes off. As soon I put the battery back in the light comes on again even phone is still off. When I turn camera on (by opening it), light go off but when I close it it’s turn on again. I find solution, to take any picture, and after that everything goes back to normal.
Does any one else had experience like mine? What can provoke this behavior?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    First thanks for response.
Rrangel, thanks for advice, but I can turn my flash off. It simple, taking picture (and that is the only way for that) and after that everything go in normal. I can close camera and continue to use my phone normally (no flash light on). I can turn phone off and on again, it’s will work normally and no flash light problem. However, this might happened again.
I have 4 GB takems memo card in the phone. And phone wasn’t in contact with water or steam, it never fall or had any defect.
First I thought it’s because some third part application. When it’s happened first time, phone was running Rotate Me, Flip Silent (that I was just installed and test how it’s will work), Advanced Call Manager, and I was rejecting some phone call. I thought it’s because Flip Silent, but second time, phone didn’t run any of those applications, I was just change theme and flash light turn on.
First time I find out that, removing battery and restarting of the phone will not help, so I simply take picture, like first time (delete picture immediate after), and continue to use phone normally. I’m just confused what the reason is?

    Hi,
I'm trying to fix a friend's T430s and the issue is that it doesn't turn on. With the battery plugged in, nothing happens. No lights and no sounds. When I plug the adapter in the buttons along the top of the keyboard (volume mute, power, etc.) and then they turn off and nothing. The motherboard was replaced, but the issue remains.

  • Turn off light icons in viewport

Here's the quick 'n dumb question of the day:  How the heck do I turn off the light icons in the viewport?

You can go into View Options (View > View Options) to control part of a spotlight's wireframe. If you want light icons completely off (along with a bunch of other stuff), you can deselect the Show Layer Controls option (View > Show Layer Controls).

  • How to turn flash light on (N96)?

    Hi,
I was wondering how can I turn on the flash light on my new Nokia N96. I need it e.g. to see in the dark etc.
On my N93 for example I have a separate button for this function.
I have tried with an old application NTorch Lite (OTStudio), which doesn't install correctly, and SpotOn, which does install but I get a "camera error".
I can install both of them fine on N93, though only red light is flashing.
So is there a way to do that or is it really possible that such a modern smartphone doesn't have this function?
    Thank you for your replies!

... well I have troubles with installing that application on my N96 (as I already stated above) ... I can install it (I see some strange symbols during the installation; before you have to change the date on the phone), then I have problems when entering the code (I don't see the inserted numbers) though it seems that application does accept the code.
I hear the beep after I start the program but then nothing happens. Well I saw flash light emitting light only once and I actually don't know if that was because of the NTorch or not.
So I presume that the application is unstable.
    P.S.: NTorch http://gallery.mobile9.com/f/142226/
