Turn Auto Attendant into Night Mode Manually

I have set an auto attendant to automatically play the day and night mode based on business hours on Unity Connection with CUCM 8.0. But client wants to turn on the night mode manually when the receptionist is leaving before the closing hour, and turn off the night when come in early. And they still want to play the day greeting during normal business hours. Which option available in Unity Connection that can handle this. I can set up night mode manually ok, but will lose out the day greeting. How can I achieve this with both day and night greeting.
Thanks.

Configure a separate call handler and have the recepcionist set CFA for this.
All she needs to turn this off/on is to set CFA to a predefined DN.
CUC can only work based on pre-defined schedules.

  • My iPod touch is not turning into landscape mode on the left side

It works when I turn it to the right, but not the left. I also can't turn it back into portrait mode when I'm done. I've tried rebooting it, and the accelometer seems to be working in an app such as Emoji Free, where I tilt the device to move the Emoji.

Without knowing what you actually tried:
    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Night mode in Maps (iOS 7)?

How do I access Night mode for Maps in iOS 7? As promised during iOS 7 announcement.
    http://aol.it/1dsMBGx
If it was supposed to be automatic, how come it stayed in day mode during the night?
Is this feature supposed to show up at all?

I did some testing.. First, the night mode is automatic only. There's no turning it on or off. There seems to be several different ways for it to work or not work..
I'm not sure if time of day has anything to do with it, but the light sensor definitely does..
Regular map mode does not appear to work in night mode
Hybrid and satellite view do work in night mode. For me, sitting in my house, it's 7:35 PM and if I cover the light sensor the screen goes into night mode only in satellite view or hybrid (while stationary)
The navigation in the regular map view (non-sat/hybrid) will also go into night mode. This is not always consistent though.
I looked up an address using Yelp, then had it open the Maps app and I got directions. Night mode did NOT work. This was about 6:30 PM, but definitely pitch black outside and no lights on in the car.
I later used a bookmark and got directions back using the bookmark. Night mode Worked.
I tried repeating my directions from Yelp, but after trying several times, the night mode kicked in every time, however it seems to have a delayed start. It doesn't darken until the nav voice is almost done talking.

If that Article does not resolve it... then you have a problem.
Perhaps a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is required..

  • Classic won't go into disc mode.

Ipod classic will not go into disc mode manually. It will not connect to computer   what can I do?

    Has red X on screen
That is a good sign of a hardware malfunction, meaning you'll need to have the iPod serviced or replaced.

Had phone updated and restarted to mode as received from manufacturer. Now my problem is I can´t get the watch into night mode. In settings there used to be `Glance and Display` where a swip to find settings for watch was possible.
After update `Glance`and `Display`are separated and under `neither of these is it possible to swip and get the settings for watch into nightmode.
    What am I doing wrong?

settings-->glance-->... what options do you have when you tap the Box below 'Night Mode' ?

  • Disable auto night mode in ibooks

This is exactly my problem. I want to disable the auto night mode in iBooks.
Turn off the auto night mode in one book don't change the night mode in the list of books.
    That don't solve the problem.

Can somebody provide a screenshot of the off/on button.  I can't seem to find it.
My problem is that I like the night mode but with the upgrade, it switches off each time I close iBooks.  I want to turn it back to manual to keep night mode on.
    Thanks!

  • IPod Classic will not turn on, refuses to go into disk mode.

    Hello Apple Community.
Last night I went out to a party, and while I was asleep, some questionable so-and-so poured alcohol on me, and this alcohol got all over my pants, and subsequently, the iPod.
I am using a 160GB White iPod Classic, and I have never had this problem with it before.
When i attempt to turn it on, I am shown the Apple logo for a moment, then a big red X with a circle telling me to come here.
I tried the steps for fixing the (X), but I can't even put it into disk mode.
The iPod makes an uncomfortable groaning noise, with some occassional clicking when I turn it on, and my younger brother in his infinite wisdom thought smacking it would be a good idea, especially since I told him that would not help in the least.
It hasn't made the noise again, but it still won't work or go into disk mode.
    My question is in 2 parts;
1.) Is there any way I myself can fix my iPod? (i.e. Hair-drying it, formatting it etc.)
2.) If not, will Apple replace the hard drive inside, or the iPod itself in it for free?*
*The iPod was given to me as a gift Xmas 2011, purchased in August of 2011.
The site says it is still under warranty, but I want to know if this moron's action have voided that.
I have all the original packaging (and accessories), minus the receipt.
One last note; My care for the files on the ipod is literally zero, I have them all on my PC and don't care if they get erased, as long as I can fix this darned device.
    Thanks in advance.

There is nothing, I can suggest except for what your brother did, which doesn't work.
Do bring it in to Apple Store and let them have a look, no harm in trying.
    Good Luck!

  • Why don't I have Auto Night mode?

Ever since the upgrade to iOS, I no longer am able to set my view mode without it resetting.  In trying to find a solution I keep seeing where people talk about the auto night mode.  I don't have that option (see below).
I don't want auto night mode.  I want to be able to turn on night mode and iBooks remain that way as before.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Have you tried a different book to see if the option appears in it - not all books support the 'auto-night theme' option, so it won't show on all

  • [Lollipop] Turning Auto-rotate off forces portrait mode

In various situations, I like to use my tablet in landscape mode, but turn auto-rotate off (watching movies/streams while lying down).
I do this using the pull-down quick menu. After the update to lollipop however, whenever I turn off "Auto-rotate", the button's name will switch to "Portrait" and my tablet (and app) will rotate into portrait mode, even if it was in landscape mode when I pressed the button. I reckon this is done with e-books in mind, but for my purposes this makes this feature useless.
Is there any way to restore the original behaviour (tablet stays in the orientation it was in when you decide to turn off Auto-rotate)? If there is not currently, I urge you to change it back to the old way (other lollipop tablets seem to have the old behaviour still from what I could gather from friends).

    uliwooly wrote:
That's the way it's supposed to work
Well, that just sounds like an opinion. Do you have any source for that? As I said, my friends' other tablets behave differently.
Is there anyone from Sony around who can shed some light on this or make inquiries? Or is this a users-help-users-only support forum?
And @Johnny_dee, please don't hijack threads. The whole discussion now is about a whole other topic. Just open a new topic.

  • Forgot to turn off night mode

    Hi there,
Is there any way to edit my sleep log to end it a few hours earlier?
I forgot to switch of night mode this morning so it hasnt counted any of my walk in to work etc.
Previously with my Jawbone i was able to go into the app and edit the time sleep ended (when i would have turned on day mode) and it would recalculate sleep and show the steps ive taken instead.
can this be done on lifelog?

I am not sure if you can edit it but check this:

  • Manual switch Auto Attendant

    Hello,
When an incoming call hits the UC, I want to switch manually (button or code) what it does.
Normally during day the calls go to the Auto Attendant.
During night there is a message.
During the break there is another message.
And they want to have also 2 other messages they want to use in other cases.
Is it possible to resolve this problem with a script of some kind?
If not I need to let the call come in on a phone and set the phone in call-forward to the AA or different voicemail boxes through floating extensions.
    Thanks,
    Stephan

    Hello,
This is going to be a little tricky. There is a couple of ways this can be accomplished, but there are some limitations with each method.
You can use the opened/closed hours in the Auto Attendant to change the greetings. The limitation here is that you can't manually switch, only be a schedule.
The alternative, is to use a manual night service configuration to send calls to 2 separate auto attendants. This will allow manual control, but only between 2 messages.
This might be possible with a custom script, but as we don't support custom scripts with UC500s, I couldn't tell if that would work.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
