Turn of annoying Mobile data notification

How can I turn off this message each time I restart my phone? I want to leave data off until I need it. Mobile Data is Turned Off - Your mobile data connection is turned off. Unless you use WI-Fi, you will no longer be able to use the Internet, Email or other apps that require data connection.

    marcusgi3,
That's a great question.  We're happy to assist here.  There doesn't appear to be any settings for this automated message on the Samsung Galaxy S5.  You may want to consider leaving mobile data on, but setting the data limit extremely low (i.e. .1 GB).  This will prevent your phone from using more data than you want.  Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Why does Mobile Data notification keep coming up saying 'Mobile Data is turned off for "Numbers" and I have to click on OK to get rid of it? I KNOW it's turned off for that program because that is what I want it to be set at. What I DON'T want is to have to click on OK EVERY TIME I open the program when I'm away from wifi.

That is how it works in general, not just for Numbers. It irritates me on other apps at times, although I can see an argument that if it didn't do that then people would complain about missing functionality after they forgot they had turned data off for an app. At any rate, this is a user to user support forum and we can't do anything about it. If you want to make a suggestion to Apple, following is a place to do that: http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • Update 4.1.2 wifi turns off when mobile data is on.

Since the latest update from Verizon whenever I connect to Wifi it connects then drops back to 4G right away. When I turn off the mobile data the wifi will connect again. This was never the case prior to the update.

Hi Scrappyman13. That fantastic update was intended to make your S3 experience better, not cause troubles. Is this happening when you're connecting to one specific WiFi, or is it any WiFi you've tried since the update? When it seems to drop the WiFi, do you see any error message?  Let's start by removing http://vz.to/Qqsrpw and readding http://vz.to/VVj91g your WiFi connection. Also, try rebooting the battery http://vz.to/UwOaYo and SIM http://vz.to/V5RXCf to refresh your phone since the update.
    Thank you

  • Wifi turns off and mobile data turns by itself.

Like I said, Wifi turns off and mobile data turns on by it self. I have actually see it do this while I am using it. I am getting sick of having to back into setting to turn mobile data off and wifi back on. My phone started doing this a couple months ago and is doing it more and more frequently wasting all my mobile data. I have had the phone a little over a year. I'm not sure much can be solved in the forums but I also don't know how to contact Blackberry Support as they seem to just direct people here. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Oh wow...that's a really ancient OS. There was one more in the 10.2.1 branch after that, then the entire 10.2.2 branch, followed by 10.3.0, 10.3.1, and now 10.3.2...so you are perhaps 25, maybe 50 updates behind now? Not surprising that you are suffering from problems that have likely been cleared up since. I cannot recall specifically if the problem you are reporting was in that specific OS version...it's been way too long since I used it (I'm on 10.3.2.840 now, on all 3 of my devices). Regarding the space issue, refer:Article ID: KB36394 Unable to upgrade to BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.1 or later due to insufficient spaceHowever, given your ancient OS, it is rather likely that you will have trouble with updating, especially in regards to backup/restore of your data. It has been reported that some who jump too far ahead find that their data cannot be restored to the updated device OS. So, to prepare, I advise you the following:Use LINK to conduct a full backup to your PCManually copy the entire contents of Device Memory to your PCPurchase and use Ultimate Backup to backup your data to your media cardPrepare full manual documentation of all configurations, account credentials, added apps, etc. (in case, in the worst case scenario, you cannot restore from backup and have to manually reconfigure everything)Hopefully this advice is way more conservative than you require...but better safe than sorry. If the official methods don't work for you, then you can consider the unofficial AutoLoader method (which, given your ancient OS, might actually be a "cleaner" way for you to go, but will require backup/restore or manual reconfiguration as AutoLoaders are completely destructive to everything presently on the device):http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using-Autoloader/td-p/2466747#nobannerhttp://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-leaked-beta-os-f395/bb10-os-archive-943672/You will want to research carefully what OS you choose, however...be sure you choose only an officially released (by at least one carrier) version and not a true "leak". Also beware of moving into 10.3.2...the government-required "kill switch" has been added to 10.3.2, and hence also includes a block that prevents you from falling back to 10.3.1. Good luck!

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    Then restart your iPad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe the slider to power off.
Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Downgrading is not an option for an iOS device.

  • Is there a way to turn off useless "Mobile data" warning?

Whenever I turn off mobile data on my phone, I get the following message:
    Mobile Data
You will no longer be able to use applications such as Internet, Email, and YouTube via mobile networks.  Continue? (followed by "Cancel", "OK" options).
This comes up EVERY time.  There is no "never show this message again" check box.
    Can this be turned off?

What do you mean by "turning off notification bar?"  Would this mean a loss of legitimate notifications?
Attached are images of what I'm experiencing.  The "Mobile Data" occurs EVERY time I try to turn off Mobile Data.  The "My Location" message happens EVERY time I try to turn on GPS.
These serve no purpose other than annoying me.  How do I get rid of these messages -- and ONLY these messages!

  • Mobile data notifications

    Hi All,
Can someone advice me what is a dependent process for mobile data switch on\off notification in Notification top bar?
I found the main one which called "Phone" but looks like it is responsible for all notifications belong to the call activity such as missed calls, active calls and etc. Therefore, I don't want to exclude it from notifications.
    Your help appreciated.

So, what can I say, still pending...
Guy from the support chat couldn't help me. They said that my wish wilbe included in their customers whishes DB )))))))))
Also they've adviced me to post the problem to http://developer.sonymobile.com/tag/developers/
I've talked to Russian suport, probably as another option it makes sence to talk to US.
I understand that my issue is nothing in comparison with Echo issue for instance, but it seems for me it is nothing hard to find out an answer for it. Strange...
Not really sure that I'll have a success with it.

  • IPhone 4s mobile data does not stay turned off.

I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 7.1.2.  When I go into the mobile settings and turn off the mobile data on my applications that I don't want to use my mobile data for, when I exit out of the settings and go back in, they have been turned back on.  I've tried a hard reset and doing a reset and then putting the back up back on the phone and none of it seems to help.  Its already cost me an additional $40 on my last phone bill because the settings didn't stay off and my songs auto downloaded even though I had the settings turned off.
If there is a fix other than having to reset and not use my backup I would love that, as nothing else I seem to try works.

Clean the iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush.
If still problem, iPhone 4S has full Warranty, make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

  • Turn off Stratosphere 2 Mobile data confirmation dialogue

Every time I try to turn off my mobile data, I get a pop-up saying: "Unless you use Wi-Fi, you will no longer be able to use the Internet, Email or other apps that require a data connection.  Turn off the mobile data connection?" I'm well aware I can't use data programs, that's the whole point of turning it off; I don't want those apps wasting my data.  Is there any way to keep the pop-up from showing up every single time I turn off my data?

    No.

  • Mobile data dropping randomly

Recently bought a Z3 (D6603) as upgrade from my Z2. Overall was pleased with the replacement until last Friday (31 July) when I applied the Android 5.1.1 update. After the update, my mobile data connection will work for a little bit, then suddenly cut out. On the home screen and notification bar, I still have 4G/H+/H showing but when I open an application like Google maps, it will say it's not connected to the internet. At first I thought it was a carrier issue (T-Mobile) but after checking with them, I have determined it has to be the phone. The only way I can get mobile data back is by either power cycling the phone off then on, cycling it through airplane mode, or turning off and then turning back on mobile data manually. Needless to say, it has become a chore to do and I cannot reliably receive/send my work email nor use the GPS function to navigate. I do not have Stamina mode active either. Please help Sony!

I have been having the exact same issue. Everything was fine until I updated to 5.1.1. After that, a few times a day, I have been losing the ability to use mobile data. I will have anywhere from  one to four bars of signal and it doesn't matter if it is LTE, HSPA+, 3G; it happens on all of them. During the time it still shows what kind of a data connection I have but does not show data going in or out of the phone (the up and down triangles next to data signal). Turning on and off mobile data with the quick toggle button fixes the issue temporarily. Doing that does not seem to make me reconnect to the cell phone tower as the whole time it keeps the current signal strength and type of connection. Right when I hit the button to turn on mobile data, it immediately shows data going in and out of the phone. Location has not been a factor either as I've been inside, outside, different parts of my city, and it has happened everywhere. I used the sony companion software to do a complete erase of everything and reinstall 5.1.1 multiple times and have tried not updating any apps and just updating the ones preinstalled on the phone but there is no difference. I did try putting a version of KitKat on the phone in the midst of this and did not have any issues during that time. I do have a theory that it may be related tomoving out of the range of a wifi network that I'm connected to but I haven't been able to confirm that yet. I'm trying my best to accurately reproduce it but it may take a few more days of tinkering. I have a day off tomorrow so hopefully I can figure out more then. I'm about 98% sure this is not an issue with the T-Mobile network and that it is actually a phone issue. If it helps, I have two other people on my T-Mobile account, one with a 1st gen Moto G (unbranded) and one with a Galaxy S5 (T-Mobile branded), and this issue has never occured with them. Don't know anyone personally with a Sony smartphone around me. Phone is Xperia Z3 6603 on T-Mobile network.

WiFi works, I can make phone calls, but I can't access internet at all while not connected to WiFi. yes, mobile data is on (but disconnected). I've tried LTE, CDMA, Global, and no available network mode works at all. Please help =(

        Hi patient.zer0!
Sorry for any trouble with your data. Let's look into this OK? Please turn on your mobile data and try again to access the internet. When accessing the internet, either Wifi or VZW data has to be turned on.
Let me know how this goes, thanks!

  • Nfl mobile data charges

Is my data affected by using this app on more everything plan?

Hello there phil84!  Yes using the NFL Mobile app does use data on your phone.  The best way to review if an application uses data is to turn off the mobile data and Wi-Fi and see if it will work for you.  If you need anything further, don't hesitate to let us know.  Thanks for being our valued customer! Have a great evening!

  • I have to turn off mobile data to connect to public wifi!?

I have found with my phone that to connect to public wifi in places such as my local bar or where I work, that I have to turn off mobile data in settings to connect to the wifi.
These are wifi hotspots where you have to create a free account to use them, and when you try to connect to them in wifi settings in iOS, when they connect, a little browser screen appears. If mobile data is turned off, then the broswer window will show a welcome screen or message saying connected (dpending on which spot Im connecting to), however if Data isn't turned off, the browser screen just does nothing or I get the apple.com screen with a small text message saying success, then disconnects me from the wifi!
It wasn't so much an issue before because, in wifi settings for each hotspot I had options for auto-login and auto-join which allowed me not to have to keep reconnecting, however since updating to iOS6, these have changed and its been a nightmare since. This is because these spots tend to kick you off after 20-30mins and then you have to reconnect (which you can understand having to turn off mobile data everytime to do so is annoying).
Ive noticed that my friends with other iphones, regardless of network, don't have to do this - so why is it an issue for me, or I was wondering if anybody else had the same problem or a fix/solution? And where did the auto-login option from the wifi settings go?

After much googling for the past few hours, I think I finally found the answer to my problem. Apparently if you have the Onavo app along with the profile it installs, that interferes with connecting to Cisco based wifi hotspots, and the only way around it is the method I used above by turning off mobile data!

I have uninstalled the app and profile, and will see if that fixes the issue tomorrow when Im at work

So I just recieved and installed the OTA update for 5.1.1 on my 32Gb Wifi Z3 compact. Now I have a constant notification on the status bar advising that Mobile Data is disabled. If I click it it takes me to the WiFi Data Usage page - as this is the WiFi only version Mobile Data should not be an option and as such I get no options to control Mobile Data.  Any suggestions - or Sony Software Devs if you are reading this please address this issue for the WiFi only versions of the Z3 Compact Tablet. Sorry - Accidentally posted in wrong section - MODS please can you move or remove this post
