Turn off answered call balloon notification

Has anyone else notice that it's not just missed calls that give you a balloon, but answered calls as well. Can this be turned off? I keep thinking I have a missed call!

Strange issue.  You can always try to restore and see if it fixes the issue, or wait for a future bug fix update.  Glad to have been of some assistance.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How do I turn off all of the notifications on iPad mini? All of them at once. They are so annoying. And it's annoying to go to preferences and put off the notifications for every app. When I instal any app it asks me - do you want to recieve notifications? I say no, but almost every app does the notifications.
    P.S.
I wish to **** someone in apple for this annoying thing. Please tell me how to turn this annoying thing off.

  • How do I turn off HP Sure supply notification pop-ups?

    Hi,
How do I turn off HP Sure Supply notification pop-ups? They are constant and annoying. I buy HP inks from a different supplier, please help.
    Liz

    Hi @lh39,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand you would like to turn off the HP Sure Supply notifications, you are using a different brand of cartridges and keep getting the pop up.
    1. Start Menu
    2. Control Panel
    3. Devices and Printers
    4. Highlight your OJ 8600 (Click on it)
    5. You should now notice at the top of the devices and printers box there is a Print server properties tab (see pic below)
    6. Once in the print server properties please click on the Advanced tab
    7. Make sure ALL the boxes are unchecked (see pic below)
    8. Click Apply
Please keep in mind that this will not turn off essential printer messages, notifying you of problems such as lack of ink or paper jams; it turns off messages notifying you of the completion of a print job or low ink warnings. Essential printer messages are built into the firmware of the printer itself and cannot be disabled.
I got this helpful information www.ehow.com
If you are still getting the error message, use genuine HP ink cartridges to avoid the pop up.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you require more assistance.

  • I cannot turn off the system update notification for my G2? I have already tried turning it off in Settings (under Applications Manager). What else can I try? Thanks

    Dear All,
I have tried turning off the system update notifications for my G2 and have not been successful so far. I have already tried turning it off via Settings/Application Manager/All. What else can I try here? Thanks.
    Regards,
    Jeffrey Wong

Unfortunately that is not possible any longer. My advice is to take the update.  You'll have to at some point or either you'll accidentally accept it.  The HD voice and video works well between compatible phones. And, if you run into a problem, better now than later.

  • Can you turn off phone calls and texts??

I am traveling to Buenos Aires from the United States for a minimester.. I called my cellular carrier and they do not have a plan to save me money in regards to phone calls and texts. I have the app What'sApp so I can use a data plan they offered me to keep in contact while I am way, however I am still afraid of racking up charges in texts and phone calls. Is there any possible way to turn off phone calls and text and strictly use the data plan they have given me?
I have the iPhone 5. Thank you.

FYI, that won't work. AirPlane disables all radio communications.
The best way to do this is to divert all calls.
    Go to Settings
    Phone
call forwarding and switch to O
Type in your carriers default voicemail number. Because it is the default number for voicemail is an exception in their list you won't be charged for the diversion.
remember to switch this off when you get back.
Then go to messages turn off send as SMS and MMS.
That should avoid most of the charges. Its inevitable that you'll get some but hopefully if you're careful it will be minimal.
Have you thought of using a local sim while you're there, you're iMessage will still work and your home SIM and account will be inactive so you won't get any unforseen chardges?
    Good luck

  • Turn off phone calls, keep text capability on.

Does anyone know if it's possible to turn off phone calls, but keep your text messaging capability on? We are travelling internationally and texting is a lot cheaper.

Texting is a portion of the cellular service, and I am not aware of a way to remove one without the other. While you can turn off texting, if you were to turn off cellular service, then texting would be turned off as well. You can turn off cellular data and roaming, and that would turn the cellular off, but then you could still use iMessage via Wi-fi, however if any of your friends are non-iPhone users, you would not be able to get messages from them.

  • How can I turn off Facebook check-in notifications?

I keep getting notified when one of my facebook friends checks in to a certain location. Thing is I'm not interested in being informed of this. Is there a way to turn off check-in notifications? And before you answer, yes I have gone to Settings > Facebook > Push Notifications and turned off Nearby Friends and Place Tags.

Sorry Michael Bratley but English must clearly not be your first language when the guy clearly states he's already turned notifications off in settings then you tell him to do what he's already done lol
But dont feel bad it's the same story through out this forum
No one being able to help
And everyone posting silly pointless solutions that don't fix the issues
Anyone figured out why I only get nearby notifications (within the app) from only one person yet?
When I have all settings notifs turned off and nearby within Facebook app turned off too?

  • How do i turn off sound and text notifications?

I find both the text and sound notifications very annoying. I do not play games or do anything other than work on this computer. When I unchecked the "show a notification" and "play a sound" boxes, the notifications and sounds do not turn off. I also prepared a 5 second sound file of silence and checked the "Play a Sound" and "use the following sound" boxes with the name of the silence in the required field. Nothing has worked. I don't like being disturbed when I work. I have done the checking and unchecking before restarting and also starting the computer up after a complete shut down.

If you unchecked the option in Thunderbird then I doubt that is where the notification is coming from. MACs are notorious for supplying an additional notification. I would check your operating system for the source of the notification.

  • Turn off "Recent Calls" and "History"

There is a real need for Skype to allow a user privacy by TURNING OFF the recording of recent calls and history.
I am aware that History can be "disabled" in Skype Preferences -- and that one can ERASE the list of recent calls with Conversations > Clear Recent.  But (i) the second action actually moves the Recent Calls to the History -- even if History is disabled!  And (ii) there does not seem to be anyway to STOP new calls from being added to the "Recent" list.
I do not see any way to TURN OFF the recording of calls with the current Skype, but I would be happy to be corrected.  Save that, I would be please if this would be considered as an update to future versions of Skype -- it would be trivial to add "do not list recent calls" to Preferences.

FYI, that won't work. AirPlane disables all radio communications.
The best way to do this is to divert all calls.
    Go to Settings
    Phone

    * You can open the Firefox 4.0+ Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.

  • BB 8700 turning off on calls...

Hi, I hope some one can help me here... Well my BlackBerry just start acting strange a few days ago (3 days to be precise) When I was in the middle of a call the phone just turn off with no warning or reason.
I try to turn it on but the unit was unresponsive, so I remove the battery and put it back again, well the phone turn on with no problem, I start the call again and when I was just explaining to my sister the fact that the phone just turn off, the phone again go off!
I can text, I can see my pics or play an audio clip and the phone works fine as always, but when I start a call its almost sure the unit will shut down... Today I just discover something estrange that lead me to think the battery is the problem, my phone was full charged when I was leaving to work. Four quick calls, and a couple of txt messages... And the phone shut down again, when I turn it on battery status is 50% charge only!
Could be that my battery? Or software problem? Or hardware problem with the unit?

Sounds like a hardware issue, but you could try reloading the operating system on the device and see if that fixes the problem
Make sure you read both of these through before you do it, dont just do the first part, read both through

  • IPhone turns off after calls

Why does the iPhone turn off after phone calls. I've had two phones now, both have had this problem. It doesn't happen on all calls. On one phone it happened more than the other. But the Iphone turns off after some phone calls and it takes anywhere from about 15-40 seconds before the turn on button will actually turn on the phone. Is this a hardware problem, or a software problem?

It's neither, it's normal. If the phone was asleep when the call came in, it will go back to sleep when the call ends since this was the last thing it was doing when you accepted the call.
