Turn off creative cloud prompt

How do I stop adobe 12 from prompting me to login?  I'm not interested in signing up for the cloud just yet.

Hi DaniG,
I am assuming you are trying to install Photoshop Elements 12. Please follow the KB article to suppress the login prompt. .

Please let us know if it helps.

  • Turning off Creative CLoud storage

I have 1TB with Dropbox, as all our files are there. Can I use Creative Cloud soley for the apps, and de-activate any file storage?

No need to deactivate Cloud storage. Just don't use it. It's there if you ever need it but its use is not mandatory or automatic.
I use Dropbox instead of Cloud storage myself.

  • How to turn off Check Out prompt in RH7 for VSS version control.

Using RH7 HTML, and VSS version control. Have been using without problem for 2 years. Now I had to get a new computer
set up, VSS seems to be correctly set up with RoboHelp, and asks to 'get latest' when I open a project, in the usual way.
However, each time I try to edit a topic in RH now, I am prompted to check out the topic. This should happen automatically. the RH tip that displays says:
"To turn off prompts when performing version control tasks manually, clear the option on the version control tab. Files are then checked out automatically.
Note: Files not selected in the list cannot be checked out."
this is unclear - there IS no version control tab, and which option are they saying to clear? there is a version control toolbar, and File>Version Control menu, neither of which has a 'prompt checkout' option.
I need not to check out manually every time!

Use the Tools > Options menu. There should be a "Version Control" tab in that dialog box.

  • Can't deactivate apps off Creative Cloud's desktop.

Hi, when I first installed Creative Cloud I installed the apps that I thought I needed. When I realized I didn't need some of them I tried to remove it from my computer, but eventually I did a system restore because it was not cooperating. Now the app that I need the most is no longer installed on to my computer, but it is still installed on Creative Cloud's desktop. I've tried signing out, but none of the apps deactivates at all. They stay there, and I have tried going into my computer's programs to see if I happened to still have it installed. No such luck. How can I deactivate them off of creative cloud's desktop to reinstall if they do not or will not deactive like the alert message says it should?

  • How do I get Premiere Pro CS6 off Creative Cloud?

I have spent over 100 hours in Premiere Pro CS6 putting together four hours of complicated video (at least for me, a first timer) all with the end objective of producing two DVDs which I’ll replicate for the 100+ members of my son’s high school marching band.  So it came time to burn them to the DVD, make a menu, etc.
Which brought me to the apparently complicated and confusing task of trying to first FIND – and then use – Encore.
After reading many threads in multiple forums, it seemed what I needed to do was to download Premiere Pro CC, uninstall Premiere Pro CS6, leaving the box unchecked for Encore, and then use them together.
I installed Premiere Pro CC. Opened a project apparently fine.
Then realized that perhaps Encore was already available and accessible to me via CS6. So tried to open a project there…. and now none of my projects could open in CS6!!! I was getting the dreaded “Sequence not available” error message.
I tried uninstalling CC just to see if that would fix it (since installing it seemed to cause the problem). Didn’t solve it.
Then came upon an Adobe help page that seemed to imply if I uninstalled CS6, ran a cleaner utility, and then reinstalled it, it would likely fix it.
    So I uninstalled it.
Then I went to Creative Cloud to download CS6... but I can’t find CS6 anywhere in Creative Cloud!!!! I got a "single-app" membershi to Creative Cloud in June of last year just for Premiere Pro. I never bought a DVD or anything so I THINK that's the only way I can re-install the program.
Forget the nightmare of trying to figure out how to get Encore - I just want Premiere Pro back at this point. What the heck is a person supposed to do?

    John -
Thanks for your patience in explaining the page number stuff to a "newbie."
If I understood you correctly, was the ultimate URL you were suggesting I click on this one?
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/davtechtable/using-premiere-pro-cc-encore-cs6-for-bluray-dvd-and -interactive-video-for-ipadatv-and-mobile-hd/
    If so..
    a) I already watched that due to finding it in another thread where I think you were the guy that posted it (thank you!)
    b) Those directions were in part why I uninstalled Premiere Pro CS6 in the first place
    c) That video does not address my problem: I can't find CS6 loaded in Creative Cloud
However, your Indesign-related link DID address my problem. Thank you very much!!!

  • Transitioning off Creative Cloud.

I currently own Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3 on CD.   I have also been using Creative Cloud since it launched and have since moved to the Photographer edition of Creative Cloud.
I am having a hard time justifying continuing to pay for a subscription when I just use Lightroom for 99% of my work, and the tools I use in both PS and LR have been the same for past few years.  The Books and Mapping features are not enough for me to feel like I am getting my moneys worth and I don't need the heavy lifting features of PS.
I have read that I can continue using my Lightroom from CC after discontinuing the subscription, is this true?
Also I am using a macbook pro now and it doesn't have a disc drive.  So I would need to download a copy of CS5.  Adobe seems to have buried these direct download links and I could use some help finding them.
Also how long do I have before my versions are no longer supported with updates for new model cameras?
Any other advice on downgrading or reasons to stay would be helpful.
    Thanks
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
It is true that Lightroon CC continues to work without a membership but the Develop and Map modules are what quit functioning with no membership. The big one is the Develop module, because without it you can't edit or adjust colors in your photos. You can still buy Lightroom but the cost of the Photography Bundle rivals buying the latest version each year. If Lightroom 3 meets all of your requirements, then its a matter of comparing it to what you get with the latest version. Other than new features there are a lot of other improvements done for speed, compatibility, and reliability. This might be worth reviewing System requirements | Lightroom. Lightroom catalogs can typically be converted to work with newer versions but are not backwards compatible, so another consideration.
CS5 downloads can be found here: Download CS5 products
Once support has been added for your camera model it will continue to be supported in the future but if you buy a new camera you might have to update to a new version of software for support

    Hope that helps,

  • How do I turn off pop-up prompts from Firefox?

I have had prompts pop-up from the bottom of the browser, most recently one that gave me the option to "Choose What I Share". Is there any way to prevent these from popping up? I was in the middle of typing a post to a forum when a pop-up prompt showed up. Due to the something with the site I was on, the whole page reloaded because the window size changed, and everything I had typed up to that point was erased with the reload.
Is there a way to prevent these prompts from popping up? If so, where do I look in order to adjust whatever needs adjusting?

The pop-ups I am referring to are not like the pop-up windows that show up depending on which sites I go to. I am referring to the small bar that appears at the bottom of the browser window, usually asking if I want to do something to modify my Firefox experience. As mentioned before, the most recent one was the one that asks me to "Choose What I Share". This affected the screen display, not unlike the way the screen is affected when the option to find text on the page pushes the entire page up.

  • My device does not automatticaly download and I have turned off I cloud

I am signed into I tunes. I have my I phone connected, but my device does not show up. I had disabled  Icloud and still my device does not show up.  I am trying to sync my pictures to get my available space on my phone to allow more things to be done.

Where exactly are you looking, and are you trying to copy photos off your phone or sync them to it ? (Whether you are signed into iCloud or not doesn't matter.)
If copy them off your phone (and the photos weren't originally synced from a computer) then copying them is done outside of iTunes : Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support
If you are trying to sync them to your phone and the phone isn't showing in your iTunes when connected to it (on the current version of iTunes you should get a device icon towards the top left of iTunes, next to the content category icons) then try these troubleshooting pages :
PC : iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support
Mac : If you don't see your connected device in iTunes for Mac - Apple Support

In the "Network" pane of System Preferences select the AirPort item on the left. Look for the checkbox "Ask to join new networks". Perhaps this is what you're looking for.

  • Option to turn off Siri prompt

When using Siri to call someone, Siri prompts you with äre you sure you want to call " so and so?
Users need an option to turn off this irritating prompt!!!
    PLEASE!!!!

That's something that started around the 8.1.1 iOS update or so. In my case it only happens when I tell it to "call home", requiring a confirmation that I'm me. If I tell it to call me by name instead, it will ask which phone to use, home, office or cell, and after choosing home it proceeds with no more fuss. Also tried setting up an alternate contact for myself with a shorter name and only my home phone and that worked fine with no prompts when told to call that contact.
Methinks SIRI better start wizening up, else Cortana is gonna beat the poo out of her.

  • Adobe Lightroom 5.7.1 via Creative Cloud Packager

    Hi all,
I might have missed something here but after creating a Creative Cloud package, I install the MSI/setup.exe that was created inside the "Build" folder followed by running the ExceptionDeployer in the Exceptions folder. However, the issues are:
EULA prompt on first launch - not ideal
Creative cloud prompt on launch - not ideal, not everyone has a Creative Cloud account
Updates not disabled - not such a major issue but also not idea.
I've recently configured other Adobe products through SCCM from Creative Cloud packages and this does not appear to be consistent with the other packages (Acrobat XI Pro, After Effects, Fireworks CS6, Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, etc...) Is this standard behaviour or am I missing a step?
I've familiarised with these just prior to undertaking the tasks:
Creative Cloud Help | Using Adobe Exceptions Deployer
Creative Cloud Help | Installing Products in the Exceptions folder
    I've also gone through this:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1590920
But I get the same outcome.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Creative Cloud Exit Strategy?

    Exit Strategy?
Scenario: After subscribing to the Creative Cloud for 3 years, your original perpetual license will no longer be upgradeable (Or sooner after this year for  CS3 CS4 users). You decide to end the CC subscription for whatever reason (not looking for new features, just don't like it, not using all the software, etc.) and want to switch to a current creative suite that suits your work.
Question: Will there be any special upgrade options or discounts switching from a subscription to a perpetual license during or "after" a year subscription if you owned a creative suite prior to joining the cloud?
On another forum, a user phoned Adobe back in April regarding this:
    MacRumors Forum User: ThirtyTenDesign
"I went thru the Adobe FAQ's and didn't see anything regarding what the upgrade price will be if for example, I use the Creative Cloud for a year and don't like it. Will I be able to purchase a license upgrade based off Creative Cloud CS6 or will it be based off the last version I purchased (CS5)? If there's no upgrade option, then it won't be worth the chance for me.
Update: I just got off the phone with Adobe and they said that you can upgrade from whatever version you are using. So after the first year, if you don't like the Creative Cloud, you could upgrade to a boxed version from CS6."
I asked this user for more clarification, since he has CS5, which would still be upgradable after a year in the Cloud, while CS3 and CS4 users lose the option after 12/31/12, here's his response:
"The rep told me that your upgrade would be based off whatever version you are currently using (cloud or no cloud). So you would just need to upgrade to a boxed licensed version before you cancelled your cloud membership."
Adobe, is this true? It's possible a rep he called might not have had the correct information yet. After a few years in the cloud, will I be able to upgrade even if my original license doesn't qualify anymore?

Here's the answer I got from tech support when I asked this question today:
    Hi Jim,
    Thank you for contacting Adobe.
You can upgrade from Photoshop to Adobe cloud, however later again you will not be able to upgrade from Adobe cloud to Photoshop. You will have option to upgrade from Photoshop CS 5 to Photoshop CS 6.

(Obviously, I'm going to save this in case there's ever a question about what I was told.)
Seems to be saying the same as existing Adobe policy.
Plus you can only upgrade to CS6 until CS7 ships.
If you're still on CS5 when CS7 ships then you pay full price for CS7. You'll have to be on CS6 to be eligible for upgrade pricing to CS7.
i.e. Skipping CS6 is not an option: your only options are 1) join the Cloud or 2) perpetual license (regular upgrade)
