Turn off Display after x mins idle power setting problem

I have an HP Pavilion TouchSmart 23-f340ea. Its an all-in-one, so I dont have a button to switch off my monitor/display and I rely on the power settings to do this. I have it set to switch off after 1 min idle. I do this as I tend to leave the PC on a lot of the time downloading from the web and activing as a media server for my home. I dont want the display to be on constantly using electricity and lighting the place up at night. This has been working fine since I bought the PC a year and a half ago. Just the other day I decided to go ahead and upgrade to Windows 10. The upgrade process went smoothly and im generally happy with how my HP is performing on Windows 10 with one exception. The switch off display setting no longer works! No matter how long I leave the PC idling, the display never switches off. I also found some apps online that can switch the display off manually when you click them. When I try this, the display does switch off, but then just switches itself back on again after a few seconds. Its like something the PC is doing is forcing the display on. Literally nothing else has changed apart from the Windows 10 upgrade. I have tried a few things like updating my display driver, disabling all devices in device manager from being able to wake the PC, running powercfg.exe to try and identify the process thats causing the issue. So far havnt been able to work it out. If anyone can help me with this it would be much appreciated! It may seem like a small issue, but it is actually making me think about going back to 8.1!

Just put this computer together, everything is stock, no overclocking. Seems to run fine, played a few hours of modern warfare 2 with no issues.
I noticed It seems to freeze after the monitor gets turned off by the power save mode. I just tested this by setting it to turn off displays after 1 minute of inactivity, waited watched the monitor turn off, then I went to the move the mouse and the screen came back on but the cursor would not move. sometimes the screen will not even come back on.
I have turned the computer on, left the room while it was booting to eat breakfast or take a shower, came back the screen was still on but the computer was frozen. Window 7 login screen was up, but there were some graphic glitches. this has happened a couple of times.
If I manually put the computer to sleep it seems to come back properly.

I think it might be the video card or power supply. Was building two systems,
second system has identical motherboard, processor and ram,
galaxy gts 250 instead of the evga gtx 260.
antec 430 earthwatts instead of Enermax EIN720AWT 720W Power Supply
Installed from same OS disc and same set of drivers. Second system seems to operate the powersave mode for the monitor correctly. Will have to do some testing switching videocards tonight.

Particularly:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

Qosmio F55 - Freezing after 20 min idle

Hi and sorry for my English,
When I use it, everything is ok, but after 20 min idle it's hanging, ctrl,alt del no respond, only way to switch off is power button.
I changed VGA driver, disable hard disk switch off, disable screen server, run RAM check, still the same problem.
Any idea what is the problem?

It is not easy to say why this happen. We can just speculate why this happen and your answer can be yes or no.
Maybe you should install Vista again using Toshiba recovery image. Test it with clean preinstalled OS.
I am pretty sure after doing this your notebook wills works well and you will not be faced with freezing issues.
What do you think about it?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

We can't know if there's a "fixture" because we can't examine your phone. But Apple can. Make a Genius Bar appointment and get your phone evaluated.

Standard troubleshooting steps are reset, restore, restore as new.
Since resetting isn't working, try backing up and restoring through iTunes.

With the position of the power button on the Retina MacBooks, any mistake turns off the screen in the middle of a presentation or any activity using a projector or big screen — a huge waste of time to wake up the display, enter password, have the projector sync back, watch audience disconnecting from what was being discussed, etc.
This is very annoying, and seems to add to the increasing collection of options Apple decided to make by itself instead of allowing the user to choose.
Come on Apple guys, I'm using my Mac because I want options and lots of preferences to tweak to my needs.
If I needed the lobotomized version I'd be using my iPad!
Any way (official or hack) to change this button back to its proper funcionality?

Not what you want, but you can get the shut down / restart / sleep dialog by holding the power button

AppleScript to turn off Bluetooth after an hour of no usage

I'm interested in making an AppleScript that will turn off Bluetooth after a bluetooth device is not used for (let's say) one hour. The script should run only on battery life, not when the computer is plugged in.

I don't think there's any way (at least easy way) to do this.
AppleScript is very good at initiating events, but not good at responding to them. As such it's not easy to write a script in this manner. About the only way to do this would be to have a stay-open script that periodically checks the list of connected devices and keeps track of when the last bluetooth device was used - however, there's a big difference between being 'used' and being 'connected'... you may have a bluetooth headset 'connected', but if you're not running any audio apps it might not be used, and that's hard to AppleScript to determine.

Earlier suggestion include that the battery has a dead cell but it wouldnt keep playing music for over 2 hours it it had a dead cell.

My issue with IOS 7.1 and higher is my Bluetooth for the phone still works...no problem but the music does not work with bluetooth...I have an Acura TSX 2010...Acura said there are no incidents reported, but me...I just upgraded to IPhone 6 and still no good....as soon as i hit the AUX button it say USB...not bluetooth...ugh

One thing that may be happening is that the drives firmware
itself is putting it to sleep when inactive. Many drives on
the market have ths feature and it is turned on by default
and require a drive utility from the manufacturer to disable it.

Could be a defective battery, you should get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store next to your place.
