Turn Off Double-Click to Close?

Is there any way to turn off the 'Double-Click to Close' functionality for creating selections (such as a Polygon selection)?
I am making complex selections and accidentally double-clicking with my Wacom pen and it closes the selection when I don't want it to.  I have tried setting the Wacom pen preferences for Photoshop but have been unable to affect this issue there.  Obviously, I can continue to add to selections, but the premature closing frequently ends up with wacked shaped selection which I must do more work to cleanup.  If I could turn off the PS double-click to close functionality it would fix this problem.
Thanks!
Mike

Thanks for the ideas folks.  I guess it's a wish for the future then.
I like the Polygon Lasso tool... just wish the double-click to close could be turned off (I am far faster tracing areas with the Polygon Lasso tool than futzing with the Magnetic Lasso tool... but the rapid fire use of the Polygon tool is triggering the double-click to close action).
In the Wacom control panel, there is a setting for Double-Click Distance, but turning it to OFF had no effect.  Also setting the Mouse settings double-click speed made no difference... I am still triggering the double-click to close.
In any event, I'll work around the issue.
Thanks again.
Mike

    I would like to know how to turn off the "double click" feature in iOS 7 that brings up all apps/websites you've been to.  I pre-ordered a Christmas gift for my son & when he double clicked the button he scrolled right by it!  Good thing I noticed before him...but I am not a fan of this feature :)

    Great to hear that you find the iPad useful for online shopping
    There is no way to turn off the screenshot of the app's last state that appears above the app icon after double tapping the home button. If you are done with an app, you might consider closing it by swiping up on the screenshot that appears after double tapping the home button.

  • Turn off double-click scroll wheel/middle button mini navigation window?

    So I've found a couple posts without working solutions....
    I use AutoCAD all day, so using the scroll wheel button to pan documents is pretty common for me.
    If I accidentally double-click the scroll wheel, the mini-page navigation window appears, and the only way to disable it (that i know of) is to click the tiny "x" each time.....
    QUITE ANNOYING as I am in Reader all day, constantly scrolling through documents to reference things.
    Anyway to permanently disable the mini page navigation window?

    oh, sorry. i realized i had posted the other one in the 5th generation iPod forum.

  • Cannot turn off double sided printing on HP 8600 OSX v 10.8.4

    Hello! I cannot figure out how to turn off double sided printing. I do not see an option in the system print dialogue or on the printing settings itself. When I remove the double sided attachment from the back of the printer - it won't feed the paper properly. Help!

    Hi,
    Please follow the steps below in order to disable two-sided printing:
    On the File menu, select Print. The Print window appears.
    NOTE: The Print window might be minimized. Click the blue triangle next to the printer name to see all available settings.
    In the expanded Print window you will find next to Copies the checkbox for Two-Sided. Uncheck that box.
    NOTE: If the checkbox does not appear within the specific application print dialog, skip this step.
    Click the lowest selection box, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
    Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
    Select Layout from the drop-down menu.
    Set the Two-Sided option as Off.
    You may save the settings for future use by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset... Any used preset will remain default till another preset will be used.

  • Turning Off Double Sided Copies

    I need help turning off double sided copies (copy function not the printing function).  On the printer itself, I go into copy settings and find that "Two0Sided" copies is checked off.  I can't uncheck it to return it to single sided copies.  Help!

    There should be an arrow, to get more choices to show. Also the checkbox is just showing you the current selected, you change the setting by touch the big icon, not the checkbox. The touch panel is not a high resolution one, so try to touch the checkbox, result in the icon being selected, that's why the setting didn't change. Try find the 1:1 icon and touch that.

  • Double clicking to close apps

  • Turn off one-click shopping

    I want to turn off one-click shopping, again.
    Where has that disappeared to?
    Isn't there a legal issue here that you can't do that?
    Yes, I am not impressed by itunes 9

    I want my shopping cart back as well.
    After upgrading to iTunes 9, I noticed I had items missing from my shopping cart. I've contacted/emailed iTunes Customer Support, which actually confirmed that 92 items that were in my shopping cart are not in my wish list.
    A wish list is not the same as a shopping cart, and I like the cart feature better; there was less of a chance to accidentally purchase something you didn't want to buy right then and there.
    Overall I have to say that I really don't like the latest version of iTunes. I can't view my entire "wish list" content - there are pages and it isn't as laid out as it was with shopping cart. Actually, that's really how all of iTunes is: more compact, and less spread out (especially with on the home page where you have to scroll through music and movies compared to the previous version where it was in more of a grid, and organized by genre). It doesn't seem to be as user-friendly as the previous version of iTunes, and I too am not liking the blinding white background.
    I really don't like the new layout, especially an album view where the songs are actually listed. (On my computer, whenever I click on the "play" icon for a song in the store, it plays and the timeline is shown as normal. Bu when I click the "stop" icon, the "play" icon reappears as though it's been stopped, but the song is still playing in the timeline...Anyone else have this problem?) And of course the one-click buy as the ONLY option is annoying to. Really don't like the drop-down menu to have to put it on a wish list. Every time I double click an album/movie icon I'm afraid I'll accidentally buy it. And I will not buy or add anything to my wish list until I get my missing 92 songs back.
    Probably the only thing I actually do like is the layout for an artist, especially because it lists all the songs by that artist which could be really convenient for searches.
    But other than that, I'm honestly seriously considering down-grading back to iTunes 8 point whatever. I mostly up-graded in the first place because I thought I'd be able to see movies previews and trailers and what not, I wasn't expecting an iTunes face-lift.
    It doesn't really seem worth it, because the layout seems so horrible (yes, I know it's a change and I could get used to it, but I don't want to, the layout is poorly organized and inconvenient). The new version seems sloppy and unorganized (my wish list isn't sorted properly at all) and hastily put together.
    I'm sorry, I really don't mean to vent or complain, or come across as some whiny brat. It was just a shock to me how much change this new version brought. These are just my thoughts that I've thought the past few days written and expressed here. I don't mean to be so negative and angry, I was just surprised.
    Hopefully it's more respectful than using **** everywhere though...

  • Printing JTable after turning off double buffering causing repaint problems

    I've followed all the instructions to speed up a print job in java by turning off double buffering temporarily by using the following call before calling paint() on the component...
    RepaintManager.currentManager(printTable).setDoubleBufferingEnabled(false);
    ... and then turning it back on afterwards...
    RepaintManager.currentManager(printTable).setDoubleBufferingEnabled(true);
    but the problem is that if it is a long print job, then the rest of the application (including other JTables) isn't repainting properly at all. I have the printing going on in a separate thread since I don't think it's acceptable UI practices to force the user to wait until a print job finishes before they can proceed with using their application. I've tried controlling the double buffering at the JPanel level as well, but it always affects the entire application until the print spooling is complete.
    Does anyone have any suggestions to solve this annoying SWING printing problem?
    Thanks,
    - Tony

    When you post code, make sure and put it between code
    tags, so it looks good:
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    System.out.println("Doesn't this look great?");
        public int print(Graphics g, PageFormat pf, int pageIndex) {
            System.out.println( "Calling print(g,pf,pageIndex) method" );
            int response = NO_SUCH_PAGE;
            Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D) g;
    // for faster printing, turn off double buffering
            disableDoubleBuffering(componentToBePrinted);
            Dimension d = componentToBePrinted.getSize(); //get size of document
            double panelWidth = d.width; //width in pixels
            double panelHeight = d.height; //height in pixels
            double pageHeight = pf.getImageableHeight(); //height of printer page
            double pageWidth = pf.getImageableWidth(); //width of printer page
            double scale = pageWidth / panelWidth;
            int totalNumPages = (int) Math.ceil(scale * panelHeight / pageHeight);
    // make sure not print empty pages
            if (pageIndex >= totalNumPages) {
                response = NO_SUCH_PAGE;
            } else {
    // shift Graphic to line up with beginning of print-imageable region
                g2.translate(pf.getImageableX(), pf.getImageableY());
    // shift Graphic to line up with beginning of next page to print
                g2.translate(0f, -pageIndex * pageHeight);
    // scale the page so the width fits...
                g2.scale(scale, scale);
                componentToBePrinted.paint(g2); //repaint the page for printing
                enableDoubleBuffering(componentToBePrinted);
                response = Printable.PAGE_EXISTS;
            return response;
        }

  • How to turn off mouse click noise

    I am listening to my Itunes on my computer and doing work at the same time. Each time I do my work and click my mouse I hear the click sound at the same time as my song. Is they any way to turn off mouse click sound so it does not disturb my music?

    1. Go to control panel
    2. Click mouse
    Now that being said, I don't have the kind that makes a noise, so I don't have an option, but if you're able to turn the sound off, it should be there.
    If it's not there, check Sounds and Audio Device properties to see if there's an option there. If there's not, you may need to contact your computer manufacturer.
    Good luck!

  • Turning off the Click Sound

    Hi,
    This is probably really easy but is there some way to turn
    off the "click" sound when using click boxes?
    Thanks!
    Gary

    Hi Gary
    Are you using Captivate 4? If so, it now sports such an
    option!
    If not, you will need to replace the click sound file with a
    silent file to achieve it.
    Click
    here for more on that

  • Turn Off button click audio

    I am using next/back buttons. That is fine, I just would not
    like the clicking audio when the user clicks on the button. I am
    not using any audio. Is there an option that I am missing somewhere
    to turn off the clicking of the button? I am using version
    1.01.1418. I saw another post where the poster said he/she found
    the option. I have looked everywhere and my boss desparately wants
    me to get rid of the clicking.

    Hi jscaief
    All I did was know where to point you. Thanks truly goes to
    fellow Adobe Community Expert Paul Dewhurst for creating the
    silient file and making it available.
    Oh, and for anyone reading this thread, the download link
    found in the Adobe Technical Note must be right clicked. Then you
    select "save file as".
    Cheers... Rick
