Turn Off Front Row Music Shuffle
Is there a method to turn of the music shuffle feature inside Front Row? I notice that every time the shuffle feature is always on "shuffle music".
Thanks to anyone that may have the answer.
I received an answer to this from our local computer shop. You cannot turn this feature off in front row.

Any way to turn OFF Front Row?
I use a Logitech Harmony remote for Apple TV. When I pair this remote to the ATV, it still activates Front Row on my iMac annd MBP.
Is there a way to disable Front Row on my iMac so it will stop activating whenever I use the Harmony w/ ATV?You would have the same problem if you were using an Apple remote, it's not related to your Harmony One. You can either pair your Macs with separate remotes, or turn off the remote sensor in System Preferences on both.

Sony Bravia showing off Front Row is it real or rigged?
That's a Sony Bravia kdlv40a12u showing off Front Row on the new Mini's marketing pages (see link below). I know because I've got that model (there's a possibility it's the TV's smaller 32-inch sibling).

After my new Mini (duo) is done with its world courier tour I am hoping I'll just be able to plug it in (DVI to HDMI since there's no VGA socket on the TV anyway) and it'll work just as well the one on the Mini's marketing pages APPEARS to be working. BUT having read all of traffic about the difficulties people are having getting their HDTVs to plug and play nice out of the box, I am beginning to wonder. I read some of the press reports of the Intel Mini's launch and it was reported that Stevie's boys and girls were using the Bravia to show off the Mini in one or the "rooms". If anybody has successfully plugged and played with this combination, please post reassuance. If you've had to tweak with Displayconfigx or SwitchRes, please can you post your timings. If non of the above, I'll let you know how I get on. I have to admit to a sinking feeling since I did try with a PPC Mini and gave up after hours and hours of borrowing and guessing Displayconfigx settings.

You should be fine - DVI to HDMI is simply a pin
format change - the signals are preserved so nothing
more expensive than some copper is needed for that
cable to work (That being said, some of the list
prices are staggering for DVI-HDMI cables)
Could be the 26". I was going by the size of the Mini next to it. Apparently SJ thinks they look "nice".

works out of the box. (Other than turning off the
overscan which was enabled by default - I prefer to
see my dock and menu bar rather than have video fill
every pixel...)
Thanks for input (no pun intended given we are talking about DVI to HDMI!). The Mini is now in the Netherlands, so it's getting closer all the time. When it arrives I'll plug it in and let readers of this thread how it goes, looks etc. I too am not fanatical about filling every last pixel as long as those that are used are giving their all in terms of clarity.

How to turn off back ground music in iMovie?
How can I turn off back ground music when working in a project with iMovie? Once I eliminate a selection the next piece of music is automatically selected from iTunes, which I want to avoid.
That's not happening to me. Try resetting your phone (hold down Home and Sleep/Wake button until you see the Apple logo.

I've tried Turning off "Show All Music" and then swiping left on the song to delete it, but it wont give me the option to delete the songs. Please help. I realize you posted this two years ago but I just encountered this same problem. Did you ever get an answer to your question? If so, did it work? If it worked could you please share the idea? it's driving me crazy.

why does my music stop playing when i press the sleep wake button? it says that the screen should turn off bu the music should still keep playing
This is usually a sign that your headphones are not plugged all the way in. Make sure the white part of the headset is flush with the body of the Nano and no silver from the plug can still be seen.
If you are 100% positive that the earbuds are all the way in, double check to make sure the headphone jack is clean and clear of debris and/or damage.

Hi all... if I am now using iTunes Match and iCloud do I simply turn off ALL Apps, Music, Movies & TV Shows syncing in iTunes when I plugin my devices?

iTunes Match will allow you to download music to other devices.
You can redownload apps, purchased music and tv shows without iTunes match.
Movies are not available to redownload.
To sync withyour computer, you must connect with iTunes. -
Is there a Front Row music preference to turn off the song time bar?
In fact, are there ANY preferences for the display of the music info at all?
I don't believe the auto correct feature is turned off after 3x crossing it out in the autocorrect box. I constantly abbreviate "with" as "w/" and it always auto corrects me to an "a" without the slash. This has happened probably 20 times so my iPhone isn't learning anything from me. I have many other examples and am also frustrated with this feature. But, I am getting used to using the x box on the auto correct now.

Iphone 4 music shuffle cannot be turned off. The shuffle is turned off on top of the page, shuffle on individual songs is turned off and the settings "shake to shuffle" is turned off also, but the songs keep shuffling in my album. Please Help.
The weird thing is that after I click shuffle when the random number appears, I click it to turn it off and then I click it on again and it works fine. Is this a glitch or a bug or am I doing something wrong? How do I fix this?

Front Row/music playback issue
Hi all,
I have a rather large music library in iTunes and I have my Mac Mini attached to my stereo and TV. I use Front Row for music playback. Recently, I have been having trouble as the music will "stall" randomly or "freeze" for a couple seconds, then resume playing. Very annoying.
I've noticed that this problem does not seem to happen if I select the music from iTunes without Front Row running or if I use FR to select the music, then back out of FR with the little remote.
Anyway, I prefer to keep FR running. I've seen LOTS of articles and posts regarding video freezing with FR, but not music. Anyone know what's wrong?

And I too like to leave Front Row playing songs while I do other thing in my house.
It hangs in almost every song now, it never did that before. I wonder if it's this iTunes update...

I have a MacPro and a new MacBook Pro, and I'm streaming the music library from the tower to the laptop. Using FrontRow (latest) I can stream the music with no problem, but no of the cover art displays .. why is this? I seriously hope my new $2k laptop can do as much as the AppleTV (obviously sans those extra ports) ..??
I think he means that he is sharing the music library because I have the same problem.
When I share from my iMac to my MacBook that is connected to my TV I dont get any covers in Front Row? But if I look at the same song in iTunes instead there is coverart.

I was just playing around with Front Row, and I can't seem to find a way to change the music while viewing my pictures. Is there a way?
You control background-music in iPhoto slideshow-preferences. Just open iPhoto, select one of your events, click Start show -button in the lower left corner of iPhoto, choose a different music and save as a default. That should do it or else, you can make a custom slide-show in iPhoto, select photos, effects and music and then watch it through FrontRow.

Hi, I'm very new to Macs, just got my first, and a strange thing happens in Front Row. When viewing a slideshow, the music plays for about 4 secs and then stalls, the show continues, but pausing and restarting resumes the music... for about 4 seconds.
Any ideas?

I just came on the forum and looked for this exact thing!
My Front Row was doing what yours is, try this:
Go back into Front Row and go to your music pick a song and play it for a min or two. Go back to the main Front Row menu and pick your photos that you want to view. It should now play the music with the photos/slide show.

HT204368 How do I stay connected to a Bluetooth device but turn off the bluetooth music playback?
I have bluetooth through my car. it is really handy to use while driving. However, if i'm listening to music in my car through an AV adaptor, turn off my car, and turn it back on, the music starts playing through the Bluetooth. I don't want this to happen. It is really hard to maneuver through and drains my battery. In iOS 5 there was a way to turn off BT Audio playback. I can't seem to find that setting with the new iOS 6 update.
