Turn off pass code glow?

Since I installed iOS 7 I have been very annoyed by the glow effect that makes my passcode extremely obvious and visible to anyone sitting next to or behind me who can see my screen. Each virtual key is larger than my finger and glows when I press it. The glow lingers briefly after I lift my finger. Can I turn this feature off?

No.
Cover the keypad while entering your passcode, same as you would at an ATM machine or shop payment device.
Even without the fade out, anyone who really wanted to see your passcode could easily watch what numbers you press if you do it in line of sight of them.

  • How to turn off Pass Code lock

I am using Google Apps.  I setup my iPhone 4s Mail account following these instructions, http://support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740.  As instructed I used the Microsoft Exchange account.  Later I set up a pass code and turned Pass Code lock ON.  Mail works perfectly, however I am not given the choice to turn Pass Code lock Off.  I do not believe Microsoft Exchange requires Pass Code Lock as I setup another user's iPhone 4s the same way, but never activated Pass Code Lock.  (On this phone I still have the option of setting up a Pass Code and turning it on.)
I would like to be able to turn off Pass Code Lock.

How do I turn off pass code on iPhone 5.  It freezes up when I tap on it under settings.

    Try:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • Can you turn off Reason Code requirement in FF5.2?

Is it possible to turn off the functionality that requires reason codes to be entered in FF 5.2?  We would rather make the text field below the reason code a requirement but for free text, rather than trying to define strict Reason Codes.
    Thanks,
    Sandy

Thank you for your response.  I haven't been able to find a way to turn it off yet, but thought someone else might have found a way.

  • How do I turn off activation code

Not happy with this aspect of new OIS7.
I don't want to have to mess about entering a code every time I look at my phone. How do I switch it off?

Activation code for what? Macs don't have activation codes. Unless you have a Mac that is a company computer that has been specifically set up to ask for a firmware password at boot up ??

  • HT1212 What if you turn the pass code on after not using it and you forget what it was?

I can't remember what the 4 digit code is to unlock the screen.

If you forgot your passcode, restore the device from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

  • Turn off automatic code generation in Java Studio Creator

A feature in Java Studio Creator automatically adds getter methods for all managed beans in every Page Bean, getter methods for all Session Beans and Application Beans in every newly created Session Bean and so on.
What is annoying is if these automatically generated code is commented out or deleted, they are added back again by the IDE.
We have a large project where the number of managed beans is quite significant. It doesn't make sense to clutter the code for every managed bean with unnecessary getter methods. Is there a way this feature can be disabled?

    I have a similar situation.
I have a large project with several classes with properties.
It is convenient to use the 'add properties' option to add a property to the class.
However, when you do that, it is a private member and you need getter and setter methods to access the private members.
What I do to get around this is to just create a class and manually add properties as public members so they can be accessed without getter or setter methods.
By doing this, you expose these members to the world, but for large projects where the classes are not intended to be available for general use, you cut down the generated code by about 80%.
The other advantage is that you can define all the class members at the start of your class and avoid the problem of having the definition and getter / setter methods concatenated at the bottom of the class.

  • How to turn off automatic variable code suggest for a single page?

Does anyone know how to turn off the code assist feature where CFBuilder tries to assist you by listing all the variables on the page?  I have a CFC with over 3000 lines and it causes CFBuilder to hang/freeze like you wouldn't believe.  I'd like to turn off this feature for large files (or at least see if I can tune the feature to be smarter about what variables it suggests).
Does anyone know how to disable this feature on a specific template or turn this feature off altogether?  Note: I do want to keep the tag attribute suggestion if possible.

Update: I tried using CFBuilder as a plugin for Eclipse (64 bit) and then followed the steps here: CFBuilder 2 Performance Problems on Windows 7 64-bit Solved » websolete.
So far I have experienced noticeably faster response times. However, the program still hangs when trying to suggest variable names.  It would be great if there was a way just to disable that feature until Adobe fixes it.

  • I can't turn off my passcode. My phone keeps freezing when I try to open my phone or turn the passcode off. What do I do?

When I go to open my phone normally my pass code screen pops up. It was working fine all day and then all of a sudden it started freezing. If I slide the bar across to open my phone it just freezes on that screen and I can't get into my phone. I had to shut my phone completely down to get in. I tried to turn my pass code off and I can't even get into that screen. So please help!

Try resetting by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider.  Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

    Recovery Mode
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
    3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
    5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

mmy I phone 5 c is stuck on large close up (zoom)
i therefore can't get into the phone as the pass code to get in is difficult to get everytime you get two numbers I you can't get the other two

There are two ways to turn off Zoom:
    1. Connect to iTunes. Go to the iPhone summary pane and click the "Configure Universal Access" button. Then turn Zoom off.
    2. Double-tap the phone's screen with three fingers. Then go to Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Zoom and tap the Zoom On/Off switch.

  • Ask for pass code before turning it off?

I iPhone would ask us for the pass code before we can turn it off, if it's stolen people that have it will be unable to turn it off so we can find it using find my iPhone.

For one thing, it would create a fire and safety hazard if the phone were to be physically damaged and could not be powered off.
The power off function is not truly a power switch. It is merely a signal to the electronics to power down the device which even then is not a full power down. There is still some power consumed as when you push this "soft" button again for several seconds the device will power up. There is no true power removal switch on the phone. Your argument about removing power is moot. With a soft power on/off switch if the product is damaged the power off/on function is probably not going to work. As such there are no regulatory requirements as the device is operated by low voltage batteries, not household mains. Big difference.
