Turn off Push on One POP/IMAP E-mail Account?

I'm a brand new BB user and have successfully set up a Blackberry e-mail account and the setting for my single, primary e-mail account. My question is this. Is there a way to turn OFF the automatic push feature for e-mail messages for my primary e-mail account? Even when I have Outlook open on my desktop, some messages end up on my Blackberry Curve. I would prefer to have a setup where I tell the device to go and get the e-mails when I'm on the road vs. having them all collected and sent to the device, automatically. Is this possible?

You can't block individual email accounts from pushing and other emails from your other accounts still come through without deleting the laservice books.
However you can stop emails coming to all accounts by going to options>security options>firewall> tick blackberry internet sollutions
this will block emails coming to your blackberry, however once that email is blocked it wont push it again as far as I can tell. It will begin pushing your emails after you turn it off.
Or you can go to options>auto on/off and set a time when you want the bb service to come on and switch off there, and at these times no emails are pushed

How can I turn off push for sent items in an Exchange account?

I have an Exchange account set up in iOS8.3. I would like to set the sent folder to fetch rather than push. And while I can go into my list of pushed mailboxes and uncheck the Sent folder, the change does not stick and goes right back to push when I go back into the settings. This was not the case in iOS7. But why turn off battery charging, makes no sense in this case. You either run off the battery or plug it in and run off the battery while it is charging.
The power draw won't change appreciably.

It would seem the best strategy would be to get on with a fully charged battery plug in the laptop and let it trickle charge as you use it. Given the length of the flight this should give you the longest use with the minimum amount of draw from the seat outlet.

Can't Turn Off Push Email

I am using Exchange for my email but I can't stop the push email. I would rather have it fetch email every 15 minutes to save battery life. When I go into settings, I have the following set:
Under Fetch New Data - Every 15 Minutes
Push is turned Off
Under Advanced and then under my email account I have it set to Fetch.
I don't see any other place that I need to change but when ever I get an email on my desktop computer I get it immediately on my iPhone as well. I tried to set it to manual and that works.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

Sure Apple and Yahoo allow this, but it is up to the user to know the difference when creating the account. This is called garbage in = garbage out, which happens to everyone on occasion.
When creating a Yahoo account with the Yahoo account preset on the iPhone, the account is created as an IMAP account with Push access. Turning Push access off for recieved messages doesn't change or switch the account to a POP account. It is still an IMAP account with Push access turned off.
You want to access the account as a POP account. If so, delete your Yahoo account on the iPhone and when re-creating the account select "Other" instead. After the data entry on the first screen, select POP as the account type followed by entering the required settings for accessing the account as a POP account.

I don't want to use push for my work Exchange account. In Settings, when looking at "Mail Folders to Push" for that account, I can't uncheck "Inbox". However, I have turned off push in the "Fetch New Data" global setting. Which one takes precedence? Is push on or off for this account?

If you go to settings, mail, fetch new data, advanced, and select your exchange account, you should be able to turn fetch settings to manual for that account. If you have pushed turned off under fetch new data, then no accounts should get push mail.

It's not entirely impossible actually as someone has pointed out to me that I can turn on Call Forwarding and that stops any incoming calls. I've just forwarded it to my google voice number and then turned on "do not disturb" in google voice and whenever I get a call it goes straight to my google voice voicemail and my phone does nothing. The only thing now is I still get text messages but I think the phone calls bugged me more because they would make my music turn off for much longer.
Even though this isn't a perfect solution it's something so far so maybe you shouldn't just come out and say there's NOTHING I can do because so far I've found part of a solution. If you don't have anyting productive to say then just don't reply and close the tab. Thanks.

Skype 7.5 turning off and on one speaker

i use a asus g750jz raptor with windows 8.1 i have been using older versions of skype because everytime i update it messes up with my speakers and i can`t find and older version now.
the issue is that if skype is open (on a call or just the software open) it turns off and on one of my speakers, if im playing a game, hearing music, youtube or skype call it keeps turning one of my speakers off and on.
i know is a skype problem because it stops if i uninstall it and a few months ago i found an older version (i don`t remember which) but today i forgot about the issue and update skype to 7.5 and got that problem again.

From what I can find, WOL is not supported by VirtualBox.
If you'd like to remotely restart or shut down the computer, you can use the
Shutdown command from command prompt, or if you run
Shutdown -i, you will be given a GUI for the shutdown application.

You need to delete here conversation and start another one using her phone number and not her Apple ID. You cannot delete iMessage, you can disable it. If the Apple server still sees her iPod with iMessage on and using her Apple ID, then it will continue to appear to your phone that she has iMessage. 'Never' can be removed so as to protect a company's potentially sensitive email - they may not want the iPad being left/stolen with the emails on it accessible. Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
