Turn off sign in popup

How do I turn off the sign in popup in iTunes?  I do not want to sign in every time, nor do I want Home Sharing.
Should be a choice in preferences, but I can't find it.

I signed in to discover that I had 2 items ready for download. I had at some point in the past begun to download some TV shows only to change my mind, but I closed iTunes instead of deleting the items. Once I deleted these 2 queued items, signed out, closed iTunes and launched again, the sign in popup did not appear.
Don't know if this solution is your answer, but it worked for me.
Good luck.

  • Turn off Logon Help popup window at Ctrl+Alt+Del prompt

At Ctrl+Alt+Del prompt I get the window popup telling me to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to login....how do I turn this off on the thinkpad??? Windows XP.
If you click on the little blue "Help" link at the bottom of the Ctrl+Alt+Del logon prompt screen, you will see the Logon Help. But it pops up by itsself on the thinkpad....even restored image from partition and the popup still persists. How do I turn it off

Are you on a domain? If so it is probably a requirement to be on the domain. The factory preload does not require a ctrl-alt-del to logon.

  • How do I turn off the annoying popups asking me to confirm?? Such as confirm refresh or reload a page

whenever I reload or refresh a page, a popup appears saying:
"To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier."
I want to turn that off

    See:
    * Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

  • How can I turn off Signing in panel at PS start up?

    Hi,
I am a paying customer. Every time I start my computer and I open PS, for one week now I have to sign up every time. And the application says that I have a trial version of PS and LR!!! How can I stop this? Moreover, in 2013 I BOUGHT LR 5, before subscribing in Creative Cloud. Why can't I install the old LR 5 that I bought on another computer?
    Sincerely,
    Catalin Botez

It's an old bug and i don't think that they will fix it. If you're working on WIndows try following solution:

  • Can I turn off the onscreen popup MENUs in safari 6.0.5? (mountain lion

Not popup windows or popup ads.  I'm referring to the system popup menus that appear mid-screen when using Safari.  The menus appear to be contextual, and will have choices, such as "go back."  I have to tap somewhere on the screen to get it to go away.  Frankly, I'm not even sure what tackpad gesture I am doing to cause them to pop up.  I only want to use the regular tool bar menu and I find the popup menus disruptive and annoying.  I have not been able to find a preference that relates to them.  Can I get rid of these things?  Thanks for your help...
    Jen

I tried that, but there are no settings in there regarding the pop up onscreen menus.  It seems to happen in other apps, though less frequently than Safari.  Maybe it is an OS thing?  However, I could not find any applicable preference...

  • How do I turn off sign in

I don't want to have to sign in to my computer everytime my screen goes dark. Please tell me how to disable this security feature.
    Thank you!

System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General
Click the lock icon in the left bottom corner and give administrator name and password to unlock it.
    Uncheck the box beside
"Require password after sleep or screen saver begins".
    Best.

I am having same issue on my iPhone 5s. Whenever i am trying login to iCloud from my device setting it's asking for apple id password & every time showing incorrect password verification failed but in fact the password is correct.
When trying to restore my iPhone from my PC iTunes backup it's asking to turn off Find my iPhone from the device iCloud setting. When i am going to turn it off from device iCloud setting it's asking for apple id password then a notification showing "verification failed, the connection to iCloud timed out.
I never faced this on any other iOS version other than iOS 8/8.0.2
    Very disappointing iOS

  • I had to change my apple ID due to someone else using it and changing the password, so now i can't sign out of icloud as the email is wrong and i dont have the password to turn off find my iphone. Help!

Basically, someone was hacking my apple account for a while and kept changing the password so i kept resetting it, now i've had to change my email as icloud still wouldn't accept my new passwords - even after being updated. Now i can't sign out of icloud due to it being the wrong email and an unknown previous password, as i can't turn off find my phone.ipad. How do i solve this without losing everything as i can't just delete the account and the usb ports on my laptop have gone so i can't back up to my laptop. I'm running completely on icloud but desperately need it to update so i don't lose all my uni work as well off my ipad.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • When saving a signed document can the -signed appellation be turned off?

When you go to save a document which you have digitally signed, the program automatically appends '-signed' to the end of the file name. This is not ideal for my purposes - is there any way to turn this function off? Also it it possible to turn off the prompt that asks me if I'd like to email the signed document? I've gone through every screen in preferences but I can't seem to find anything for this. I'm using Adobe Reader XI 11.0.5.
    Thank in advance!

Not that I know of. Reader and Acrobat want you to have a new copy of the signed document and an original copy of the unsigned version, hence the behavior you do not want. You can always do a save change the name of the signed document to the original name if you desire.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.
