Turn off splash screen, tune and beeps?

How can I turn off:
-- the initial splash screen video of shaking hands
-- the the initial little tune that plays
-- the little beeps that play with every button press
I am using an N93.
Thanks for your help.
John

The keypad tone:
Menu -> Tools -> Profiles -> General (or the profile, which is currently set) -> Options -> Personalise. Then go to Keypad tones and set to Off.
The initial tune:
In order to have this off, the Warning Tones option in the given profile should also be Off.
The grasping hands:
Go to Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Phone settings -> General -> Welcome note/logo. Now set to Text and enter some text or choose Image and select a picture. This will be the startup animation/text. If you simply want blank screen, draw a white image in Paint, save as JPG and put for logo
Ericsson T10i -> Nokia 7110 -> Siemens C45, C55, M55, M65 -> Nokia 6131, N73, N82 -> HTC Wildfire, Desire HD -> Nokia Lumia 800 -> HTC Desire X -> Lumia 820 -> Sony Xperia SP -> Lumia 925 + Sennheiser CX 500

I transferred my library to a new laptop and everything appeared on the screen. I turned off the old computer and the library disappeared. How can I make it a permanent transfer as my old computer is being scrapped. Thanks

    Hello Terryfrank,
Congratulations on your new laptop!  Also, thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with transferring your iTunes Library to your new computer.
I notice that you are coming from the article “iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer,” and it sounds like you might have used the Home Sharing method outlined in that article.
With Home Sharing, you can stream content from another computer, and it sounds like that is how you have it currently set up.  The last step is to import the content to your new computer.  Use these steps on the new computer (while the old computer is on) to import the music to your new computer’s hard drive:
Once your new computer sees the Home Share from your old computer, click that Home Share on the left side of iTunes on your new computer.
Select the content in the Home Share that you want to transfer to your iTunes library on your new computer, or choose Edit > Select All to choose all of it. Then, click the Import button in the bottom-right corner of iTunes.
Wait for the content to finish transferring.
Additionally, if you want to transfer your playlists, you can export them from the old computer to the new computer:
    Transferring playlists
If you want not only your content but also your playlists to exist on your new computer, you will want to transfer a copy of all your playlists from your old computer. To do this, choose File > Library > Export Library on your old computer. Save the XML file that is created to your desktop.
Send the playlists file to yourself as an e-mail attachment, use an external drive, or use file sharing to move the playlists file to your new computer. Once the file is on your new computer, open iTunes and choose File > Library > Import Playlist. The import process will remove any items from the playlists that you didn't share via Home Sharing.

My iPhone 4s was playing music now won't on my sony dream machine how do I fix. "This device is not supported by this I-phone".  I have turned  off phone unplugged sony and did the pin reset on bottom.     Help please I need my tunes

Try plugging it up to your computer and launching iTunes and either resetting it to factory settings or resetting to last sync. Hopefully it just noticing it's plugged up to iTunes will fix it. This happened to my friend once and all she had to do was plug it into her computer and that fixed it.

  • "Fit screen to full display" and turn OFF "Fit screen in window"

I like being able to access my 24" iMac from my 13" MacBook Pro using ARD.
There's one feature that I'd really like but which seems to be missing: I want to "Fit screen to full display" but be able to TURN OFF "Fit screen in window" (that button disappears when you go to full screen).
In other words, I want to view my iMac's screen at actual pixel size, where the screen scrolls as you move the mouse to the edges of my smaller MacBook screen, but NOT in a windowed mode.  That way I'm maximizing my MacBook screen real estate but not having to strain to read a miniaturized version of the iMac screen.
I'm assuming this just isn't an option, but if anyone knows of a solution I'd love to hear it!
    Thanks,
    Kevin

You could always request it as a feature through Apple Remote Desktop Feedback.

  • Netflix turns on my I-Tunes and plays a song.

If I turn on Netflix on my Apple TV, it works  -- but it also turns on my I-Tunes and plays a song.
I walk over to my computer and turn it off, but it simply happens again next time I use the Apple TV remote.   (I-Tunes, and the first song in my playlist - which happens to be Aerosmith -  simply will not be defeated.  )
The remote will override my computer's mute button, and even "sleep" mode.  Is there a setting here I need to change?

If you don't want to use a remote with your computer the easiest thing to do is just to turn the IR off. (System Preferences > Security > General, click on the Advanced button in the bottom right corner - If the button is greyed out, click on the lock icon and enter your administrators password))
If you still want to use your computer remote then you must pair your computers remote with the computerAND the Apple TV remote with the Apple TV.
To pair a remote with a device hold down the menu and FF buttons together for six seconds or until you see a chain icon on screen (best take the computer into another room, or turn it off, when you do this)

  • Camileo S20 - Is it possible to turn off the screen?

Is it possible to turn off the screen when using Time Lapse or Motion Detection modes so as to save power?

    Hi buddy,
I have downloaded the user manual off Camileo S20 and searched a little bit but unfortunately I can find no informations about turning off the screen when using Time Lapse or Motion Detection. It seems that the screen is always on.
But you can connect the AC adaptor while recording movies. So you have always power. :)

Since software was updated yesterday, i've lost the ability to turn off Full Screen, and it's driving me mad
I've used help and it told me to go to Display options, but all i have on there is Page Overview, View Images and Page Info.
    Help!

yeah right, in previous firmware there was an option to go full screen manually, but now when page loading completes, it goes automatically full screen, and according to my experience it can't be turned off, we have no option but to click the Arrow button in corner to get back to normal screen.

I've turned off pop up blocker and my sercuity and firewall, still can't get I tunes to install any ideas

Look at my other reply and follow my lead.  This process worked flawlessly for me.  I got an old version
to install, authorized my device, synced my ipod, no problem.  AS A BONUS, iTunes realized it was out of date
and installed the latest and greatest on its own with no glitches.  If you need more help reply to one of my messages, and I will do the best I can for you.
One request, if you get it up and running come back with any final advice, and make that this solved your problem, so others can use our experience.

  • How do I turn off timed screen switching?

While showing a video in class (Quicktime - full screen - mirrored desktop to projector) the screen switches away from Quicktime (to the Finder screen I think). This happens repeatedly at 9:00 AM so I'm assuming it is somehow tied to an event.  I do have a 9:00 AM event in my calendar and BusyCal but it doesn't have an alarm turned on.
I have tried to address this with Notifications. I turning on Do Not Disturb between 8:45 AM and 11: and also put a check in the box for "when Mirroring."
Any suggestions for how I can keep the screen from switching away from the Quicktime movie?

At the risk of being super--obvious, can I suggest you try turning off those 9am events and see if that solves the problem?  If you are busy watching a movie at that time, any event notification probably isn't going to help you anyway.  I realise you may not wish to delete that (presumably recurring) event but at least then you will know if the event is causing the problem.
    Hope that helps.

  • Turn off laptop screen while using iTunes? Or best screen saver?

Is there a way to turn off the iBook display and still let the computer use iTunes? I can't find anything on this. If that isn't possible, what would be the best screen saver for actually saving the screen? If you know what I mean....

That does work--thank you. I wanted this solution for iTunes. This came to my attention when a friend of mine was using his MacBook to run a movie on a television, and he was complaining about the fact that the MacBook display could not be shut off while exporting the feed to the tv. You've answered my question, but I'm going to amend the topic to include shutting off screen while exporting a video feed--perhaps someone knows the answer to that. (I don't have anything to port a feed too, or I'd try it myself.) Thank you!

  • How can I turn off the screen while keeping the mac awake?

I am using teamviewer to remote connect to my office Imac from home. However, every time I connected, my imac screen will turn on and everyone else in the office can see what my imac is doing..
Is there some method to turn off the screen while keeping the mac awake, so I can remote connect to it?
PS: I am using OSX 10.7.3

Energy Saver, you can keep the computer awake while the screen saver shuts the monitor off but I'm not sure that would do it for you.

  • Turn off the screen saver is greyed out in Presentation Settings

    Hi,
We are using Windows 7, and want to allow laptop users the ability to "turn off the screen saver" when they are running presentations. However, this option is greyed out and the box is not selectable.
We have the usual screen saver group policies, i.e. enable screen saver, Prevent changing the screen saver, screen saver timeout, and force specific screen saver. I have tried to Disable all these apart from Enable screen saver, since if I disable this then
it says users cannot change screen saver options, so I left this one as enabled.
However, the "Turn off the screen saver" box is still greyed out. Does anyone know which group policy setting will enable this option?
Also, is there a way to keep the screen saver settings and also be able to use Presentation Settings, so that the screen saver does not come on and lock the machine in mid presentation?
I've seen some sites mention utilities that run in the background and simulate mouse clicks, but we're not allowed to run these kind of utilities, and no forums seem to be able to provide an answer to this problem.
    Thxs.
    Jaz

    Hi,
    >>i.e. enable screen saver, Prevent changing the screen saver, screen saver timeout, and force specific screen saver. I have tried to Disable all these apart from
    Enable screen saver,
Before going further, please make sure that the group policy settings were applied correctly. We can run cmd command
gpresult/v or gpresult/z on clients to collect group policy to check this.
Besides, if the issue persists, we can try setting all these settings to
    Not Configured.
    >>Also, is there a way to keep the screen saver settings and also be able to use Presentation Settings, so that the screen saver does not come on and lock the machine
    in mid presentation?
Based on the description, it is not easy to do this. However, we can reduce the effect of screen saver by choosing to not enable
Password protect the screen saver, and not set the setting
On resume, display logon screen on Screen Saver Settings dialogue box. Besides, we need to not let our power plan settings lock out the computer within a short time.
