Turn off Stratosphere 2 Mobile data confirmation dialogue

Every time I try to turn off my mobile data, I get a pop-up saying: "Unless you use Wi-Fi, you will no longer be able to use the Internet, Email or other apps that require a data connection.  Turn off the mobile data connection?" I'm well aware I can't use data programs, that's the whole point of turning it off; I don't want those apps wasting my data.  Is there any way to keep the pop-up from showing up every single time I turn off my data?

No.

  • Update 4.1.2 wifi turns off when mobile data is on.

Since the latest update from Verizon whenever I connect to Wifi it connects then drops back to 4G right away. When I turn off the mobile data the wifi will connect again. This was never the case prior to the update.

Hi Scrappyman13. That fantastic update was intended to make your S3 experience better, not cause troubles. Is this happening when you're connecting to one specific WiFi, or is it any WiFi you've tried since the update? When it seems to drop the WiFi, do you see any error message?  Let's start by removing http://vz.to/Qqsrpw and readding http://vz.to/VVj91g your WiFi connection. Also, try rebooting the battery http://vz.to/UwOaYo and SIM http://vz.to/V5RXCf to refresh your phone since the update.

  • Wifi turns off and mobile data turns by itself.

Like I said, Wifi turns off and mobile data turns on by it self. I have actually see it do this while I am using it. I am getting sick of having to back into setting to turn mobile data off and wifi back on. My phone started doing this a couple months ago and is doing it more and more frequently wasting all my mobile data. I have had the phone a little over a year. I'm not sure much can be solved in the forums but I also don't know how to contact Blackberry Support as they seem to just direct people here. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Oh wow...that's a really ancient OS. There was one more in the 10.2.1 branch after that, then the entire 10.2.2 branch, followed by 10.3.0, 10.3.1, and now 10.3.2...so you are perhaps 25, maybe 50 updates behind now? Not surprising that you are suffering from problems that have likely been cleared up since. I cannot recall specifically if the problem you are reporting was in that specific OS version...it's been way too long since I used it (I'm on 10.3.2.840 now, on all 3 of my devices). Regarding the space issue, refer:Article ID: KB36394 Unable to upgrade to BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.1 or later due to insufficient spaceHowever, given your ancient OS, it is rather likely that you will have trouble with updating, especially in regards to backup/restore of your data. It has been reported that some who jump too far ahead find that their data cannot be restored to the updated device OS. So, to prepare, I advise you the following:Use LINK to conduct a full backup to your PCManually copy the entire contents of Device Memory to your PCPurchase and use Ultimate Backup to backup your data to your media cardPrepare full manual documentation of all configurations, account credentials, added apps, etc. (in case, in the worst case scenario, you cannot restore from backup and have to manually reconfigure everything)Hopefully this advice is way more conservative than you require...but better safe than sorry. If the official methods don't work for you, then you can consider the unofficial AutoLoader method (which, given your ancient OS, might actually be a "cleaner" way for you to go, but will require backup/restore or manual reconfiguration as AutoLoaders are completely destructive to everything presently on the device):http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using-Autoloader/td-p/2466747#nobannerhttp://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-leaked-beta-os-f395/bb10-os-archive-943672/You will want to research carefully what OS you choose, however...be sure you choose only an officially released (by at least one carrier) version and not a true "leak". Also beware of moving into 10.3.2...the government-required "kill switch" has been added to 10.3.2, and hence also includes a block that prevents you from falling back to 10.3.1. Good luck!

Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    Then restart your iPad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, then swipe the slider to power off.
Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Downgrading is not an option for an iOS device.

  • Is there a way to turn off useless "Mobile data" warning?

Whenever I turn off mobile data on my phone, I get the following message:
    Mobile Data
You will no longer be able to use applications such as Internet, Email, and YouTube via mobile networks.  Continue? (followed by "Cancel", "OK" options).
This comes up EVERY time.  There is no "never show this message again" check box.
    Can this be turned off?

What do you mean by "turning off notification bar?"  Would this mean a loss of legitimate notifications?
Attached are images of what I'm experiencing.  The "Mobile Data" occurs EVERY time I try to turn off Mobile Data.  The "My Location" message happens EVERY time I try to turn on GPS.
These serve no purpose other than annoying me.  How do I get rid of these messages -- and ONLY these messages!

  • Turn of annoying Mobile data notification

How can I turn off this message each time I restart my phone? I want to leave data off until I need it. Mobile Data is Turned Off - Your mobile data connection is turned off. Unless you use WI-Fi, you will no longer be able to use the Internet, Email or other apps that require data connection.

        marcusgi3,
That's a great question.  We're happy to assist here.  There doesn't appear to be any settings for this automated message on the Samsung Galaxy S5.  You may want to consider leaving mobile data on, but setting the data limit extremely low (i.e. .1 GB).  This will prevent your phone from using more data than you want.  Let us know if you need any further assistance.

  • I turned off documents and data in my iCloud setting on my iPhone. How do I turn it back on?

I turned off "documents and data" from my iCloud settings on
my iPhone. How do I turn it back on?

If you're running iOS 8, it's on by default and you don't have the option to turn it off.  You can confirm that it's on by checking Settings>iCloud>Storage>Manage Storage and make sure you see your apps are listed under the Documents & Data setting.  (It will only list apps that sync documents & data with iCloud.)

  • I just upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.1 and would like to turn off sending crash data to App developers.  How do I do this?

I just upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.1 and would like to turn off sending crash data to App developers.  How do I do this?

    Hello prlipton,
If you want to stop sending reports to Apple and developers when apps crash, then go to System Preferences, click on Security & Privacy and click on Privacy. You will then see on the left side of the window an section for Diagnostics & Usage with the option to turn off sending crash data to app developers. Take a look at the article below for more information.

  • Going overseas turning off all unnecessary data updates

We're going overseas and have read we should turn off all unnecessary data updates. What would one turn off? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

Very good question, as too many people don't ask it and are confronted with huge bills coming home from a holiday.
The answer of wjosten is applicable when you don't want to make or to be able to receive calls or send/receive SMS messages. In short: you'll use your iPhone at WIFI spots to access the internet.
If would like to remain reachable and be able to make calls I recommend your turn off all data usage through telephony networks when abroad, which you can do in Settings -> General -> Network -> Data Roaming
Note that generally when abroad you'll pay when answering a call and, optionally, receiving an SMS. Your service provider should be able to provide with the rates for this, as well as the rates for making a call or sending an SMS from the country you're in.
To check your e-mail and browse the web follow the advice of wjosten and look for WIFI networks on you destination. Even if they're not free, they are for sure cheaper than using the telephone network via your iPhone.

  • Turning OFF Yahoo Mobile pages? HELP?

Could anyone help me turn OFF Yahoo Mobile on the iPhone 4 (iP4). I HATE Yahoo Mobile. I just want to use the normal sight.
When I go the homepage of Yahoo it defaults to the Mobile. There is a place to go to the Desktop. However, if you search or login or any thing it goes back to the Mobile version.
HELP IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS! I just want to pick my own page. I don't remember this happening with my 3G.

    Let's try something else.
In Computer, open local disk C:\
    Open the "Program files" folder.
    Open the "Common Files" folder.
    Open the "Apple" folder.
Open the "Mobile Device Support" folder.
Right-click on the AppleMobileDeviceService.exe file and select "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, check "run as administrator" and click OK.
Restart the PC. Try connecting a device again. Do you still get the message?

  • Turn off documents and data

I don't want to backup my documents and data on iCloud.  When I try to turn this option off, I see "If you turn off documents and data, all documnets stored in iCloud will be deleted from this Mac"
Yikes! What the heck is that all about and how can I get around it?

The documents and data will remain on the iCloud server and your Mac will no longer have access to them if your turn this off.  To keep a local copy, you'll need to save them first as discussed under "Documents" in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4910.
