Turn off Subscriptions to forum posts

If you're like me you probably have your settings set to email you when there's a new posting in a forum topic that you're subscribed to. I just checked my .Mac email to finds hundreds of notifcations that new postings have been made. So, in order to help Apple out a bit, and ease the pressure on their email servers (so we don't overload those as well), it would probably be a good idea to turn off (delete the subscriptions) to any forums you're currently subscribed to. That way you won't get unnecessary emails each time a new posting appears. Click on the "my Subscriptions" link at the right.
It also doesn't help that these forums went down for about 15 minutes just now when i got a screen message from Apple saying "be right back..."!

You could try disabling Podcast syncing in iTunes configuration for the iPad.

iPhone4S 6.1.3 -- I have a 1 year subscription with ShapeUpClub, would like to turn off the auto-renew, but do not seem to be able to, there is not 'OFF' button from AppStore as the instruction said. Has any one have such a problem?

Turn off Subscription product in App Builder

Pro account user. We have a multi-folio app with auto-renwable paid subscription offers (monthly and yearly). If we want to turn off the Yearly subscription, is it as easy as "removing" this from App Builder subscription details page?
Do I also need to re-submit the App back to Apple for approval?
Do I need to do anything about the Yearly in-app purchase in iTunes Connect?

1. Yes, remove the yearly subscription Product ID from App Builder.
2. Yes, re-submit the app to Apple. (Enterprise publishers can take advantage of dynamic subscriptions to experiment with different in-app purchases without having to resubmit the app, but you mentioned that you have a Pro account.)
3. No, you don't need to delete the yearly in-app purchase in iTunes Connect.

Subscriptions not turning off

On my iPad, I am trying to turn off subscriptions either through itunes or the app store.
When I turn off auto-renewal, it says "try again later"
I've restared my device and tried several time to turn off auto-renewal, but no luck.
Any suggestions?

Check to see if you have the lastest firmware. Should be at 1.1. This additional feature may have been introduced with the firmware.
Another option is to restore the Nano.

To turn off those settings, you'll want to go to your System Preferences. The following Knowledge Base article spells out what to do:

Just find the Facebook app by:
Use Notifications preferences to change the apps that use Notification Center, or change how an app’s notifications appear in Notification Center. To open Notifications preferences, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Notifications.
To have an app’s notifications not appear in Notification Center, deselect the “Show in Notification Center” checkbox.

I know the password, but don't seem to be able to turn off the feature.

If you press the Home button and open Security, you can change "Auto Lock Device" to "Never". Does that do what you want?

PC Will Not Turn Off ! Please Help P6N Platinum Mobo

Hey Guys,
I just recently finished building a new PC. Well its not complete yet I used some parts from my Older Dell which I plan on Changing in the near future. My problem is that I got everything set up and the System Runs GREAT! its just when I go to shut down the monitor and peripherals turn off but the case fans and cpu cooler keep on running. Am i missing a driver or is there something in the Bios that I am missing? please help!

When are we going to get infinite scrolling for the S4. All other carriers have it on the S4 and it is frustrating that it is turned off for Verizon only.

All other carrier S4 phones have the option to turn infinite scrolling on/off. However with Verizon there is no option and it is turned off. Every forum I go to says that you have to root the device to turn it back on. VERIZON are you going to listen to the myriad of people the would like this option, a basic option advertised for the Samsung S4? Please PLEASE PLEASE give us the option back.

I think the avatar pictures help a lot to visually tell apart the different users participating. Pictures are way quicker to discern than user names are.
Do you want them removed because they distract you or you find certain ones disturbing (You can easily flag those to the moderation team)?

I am using German OS therefore maybe the items are called differently in English:
1) Go into the main menu
2) Select "Alerts"
3) select the Profile you like to adjust
4) Select App Alerts
5) Select Email
6) You sould see your 3 mail accounts listed
7) Select the one you like to "mute" and you can set everything (sound, LED, vibration etc. individually for this acount)

How do you turn off all email notificatons on this forum?

I have a serious problem concerning using these forums. I started a thread and I wanted to receive an email notification when someone answered my question. I clicked on receive email notification up to the right. Now I get notifications for all the threads in the forum. This is several hundred per day. I went and turned off the notification on the thread. Also, I went to notification preferences and checked no for each of the choices. Made sure I saved the changes. Still getting all of them.
I have a habit of having Many (15-20) tabs open in Firefox. I had several different threads open at the same time. I don’t know if this has anything to do with my question, but I did see some receive email notifications checked on some of the threads. I turned of email notifications wherever I found them.
How do I turn all of these notifications off? I can’t find a forum to post questions about operation of the forum, so I’m posting here.

Interesting turn of phrase. Are you suggesting that Netflix has none standard terms and conditions that could activate penalties if the user casually unsubscribes.
I am not familiar with their terms - I've never had a subscription with Netflix. Personally, I will always check the terms of any business I do business with and know how to cancel before committing to a contract.
Edit: I just took the time to browse through their terms which appear rather straight up:

From the OP's post, I also did not assume that their subscription was through an iTunes app as a direct subscription was/is available. I do not know if the terms might differ if going through iTunes (which would make sense if Netflix would be losing money by offering their service through iTunes?).

Forum Email notifications will not turn off!

Was receiving email notifications for it seems like every post on these forums. Went in, turn off email notifications for everything thing. Check again just now. Save settings are everything is "No" or "Turned off".
But still receiving email notifications from these forums for every post that anyone makes here.
How do I turn this thing off? My inbox is loaded.

Go to your profile page.
Select the Notifications tab clear out anything that shows there.
Go back to your profile
In the Actions box select Preferences
Select the Email Notifications Preferences tab
Set the values as you like
Go back to your profile
In the Actions box select Manage Email Notifications
delete any that show
that should do it

Subscription auto-renewal -- turning off for Zoosk - HELP

I am trying to turn OFF auto-renewal on the crappy dating site ZOOSK. However, unlike what the instructions say, there is NO radio button to turn off or on renewals - just different amounts of months TO renew. Pure BS. I am infuriated. Calling Apple Support did nothing - they just referred me to iTunes "Support" which is virtually non-existant. I asked to talk to a human being and they said that is not possible. THANKS APPLE!
