Turn off the 'build tag' hash marks?

We are upgrading to RH7 and have one project with Build Tags.
The tags are 'visible' in the file name in the left panel as
colored hash marks through the file name. This makes reading the
file name difficult. Its visible in both 'view by file name' and
'view by topic name'.
Is there a way to turn off this hash mark feature?

Select the pod.
Click on the View menu option and select Show - Conditional
Areas.
This toggles the conditional hash on or off.
Kind Regards
Craig

  • Can you turn off the voice tags when someone rings...

I think the subject says it all, but here's the story - My girlfriend's sister has an E71, and a ringtone she really likes.  She wants to be able to hear the ringtone without interruption when people call, but for all my poking about in the menu and settings I can't find a way to turn off the voice tag that announces the name of the person ringing.  The tags are somewhat annoying anyway because they don't tend to read Irish names very well 'Grainne' being pronounced as 'grain' and such.
Can those tags be disabled?  If they can, how?
    Thanks.

also dont forget to activate the profile your using once this is done or it will revert to default

Is it possible to turn off the fluid grid function in dreamweaver during the process of building your site by mistake? It was working fine and simply stopped and I don't see how to correct what is wrong.

There is no specific function that turns FGL on or off.
When you say that it has stopped, do you mean that the handles no longer show?
If that is the case, then I think you may have modified the CSS to such an extent that Dreamweaver no longer recognises it as belonging to FGL.
There are a couple of avenues for you
Redo the site and make sure not to touch the FGL CSS
paste the code here so that we can see what has gone wrong.

  • Switching off conditional build tags

I now have quite a few conditional build tags in my RH7 project and it's getting a bit difficult to see what's what in my topics as they are covered in coloured hash lines. Is it possible to switch off the view of individual tags? For various jobs I need to see certain ones but not others.
Also, can I just check that I am using them right?
Our software has web and windows versions so I have a 'Web' tag and a 'Win' tag for where the content differs and I create different outputs for each.
Within the web version, we now have 2 different sets of customers who each need slightly different content and different names/logos etc. So I have created 'Customer X' and 'Customer Y' tags as well as 2 separate tables of contents. So in places, I have text which has 2 tags on it, 'Web' and 'Customer X' or 'Customer Y'.
Does this sound ridiculous? Is there a better way?
I know I could have used user defined variables for the company names but I would still need the cond build tags for the content so figured it would keep it simpler just to use tags.
    Helen

    Hi there
Sorry, no way to turn off individual tags. You can turn off the shading if you like.
Click View > Show > Conditional areas.
You might also consider submitting a wish form to ask for this type of functionality to be added to a future version.
    Cheers... Rick

  • S1 Yoga - How to turn off the built-in display/monitor?

    Hi,
Trying to find a way/hotkey to turn off the built-in display whilst I'm connected to another external monitor with the Thinkpad S1 Yoga model. Do you guys know how to do it?
I could even remap any of the default hotkeys if someone knows how to do that as well, as the defaults are not too useful for me...
    Thank you!!

  • How do I turn off the requirement to enter my password everytime I want to delete a file in Finder?

How do I turn off the requirement to enter my password everytime I delete a file in finder?

Please take these steps if you're prompted for a password when moving items in your home folder to the Trash.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/.Trash
    2. Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Show Info in Finder (or just Show Info)
from the contextual menu.* An Info dialog should open.
    3. The dialog should show "You can read and write" in the Sharing & Permissions section. If that's not what it shows, click the padlock icon in the lower right corner of the window and enter your password when prompted. Use the plus- and minus-sign buttons to give yourself Read & Write access and "everyone" No Access. Delete any other entries in the access list.
    4. In the General section, uncheck the box marked Locked if it's checked.
    5. From the action menu (gear icon) at the bottom of the dialog, select Apply to enclosed items and confirm.
    6. Close the Info window and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Open a TextEdit window and paste into it (command-V). Select the line you just pasted and continue as above.

  • In a fixed-layout epub is there a way to turn off the faux spine effect for just one pair of pages?

I'm formatting a graphic novel as a fixed-layout epub.  Because the pages are generated in Manga Studio with an intended print target, it by far makes the most sense to just use a single, large image for each page.  I'm coding the .opf, .xhtml, and .css files by hand, and I more or less understand everything I'm doing.
Because the pages are often full bleed, I actually want the faux book chrome afforded by having <meta property="ibooks:binding">true</meta>.  The shadow effect in the gutter gives a nice deliniation between the pages without me having to do anything additional with the formatting.
However... a handful of pages in the book are two-page spreads.  These look good enough with the shadow spine in the middle, but they would obviously look better without it.  What I'd like to do is identify these particular page pairs as two-page spreads and turn the binding chrome off for just that page pair.  I could of course "fake it" by adding a shadow to the pages themselves (except the spreads) and turning off the binding chrome on the entire book, but it'd be a lot easier to be able to do it in software.
Apple's formatting guide mentioned nothing of the sort, and searching for a while hasn't turned up anything (not even anyone asking the same question so far as I can tell).  I'm guessing this isn't possible, but it never hurts to ask.  Anybody know of a way to do this?

Just found this... Sorry to waste the post...

  • How can I turn off the Illustrator CC 2014 hello screen permanently?

I just upgraded to Illustrator CC 2014, and I'm somewhat baffled by the apparent inability to turn off the hello screen. Maybe it's easy, but I don't see how to do it.
Under the "Help" menu I do see a check mark beside "Hello...", but clicking it does not turn the hello screen off. When I shut down the screen using the red x in the panel's upper left corner, it does go away, and it can be turned back on using the "Help" menu entry. I just don't want it to appear... ever. I'd love to be able to use Illustrator the way I want to and not feel the need to close that superfluous panel every time I open the software.
Thanks ahead of time for any input.

@ThePorge - are you sure you're looking at the bottom of the "Getting Started", "New Features", or "Tips & Techniques" panel?  You'll need to scroll down to the bottom of them to see the footer where this checkbox is located.  (Its not in the Create panel at all.)  If you can't find it, its possible the software thinks you're a trial user for some reason.  Do you see a Days Left in Your Trial countdown in the upper right corner of the Welcome screen?  That would indicate it thinks you're a trial user.  Can you attach a screen shot?

  • When I try to open my Yahoo mail in safari, I get a message which states:" In order to use Yahoo mail, please turn Private Browsing off. Please go to Settings Safari Private Browsing, and turn off" The problem is my ipad does not a Private Browsing switch

When I try to open my Yahoo mail in safari, I get a message which states:" In order to use Yahoo mail, please turn Private Browsing off. Please go to Settings>Safari>Private Browsing, and turn off" The problem is, my ipad does not a Private Browsing switchat this location.

With iOS 7 on the iPad, you turn Private  Browsing on and off by tapping the URL field.  The screen that  opens up has your bookmarks on it.  In the bottom left corner is a hot button marked 'PRIVATE'.  Tap on the word 'PRIVATE' to turn private browsing on or off.  Yeah, there aren't any instructions anywhere that I can find to do this, and if you follow Yahoo's instructions, they don't work.  This doesn't happen with the previous Apple OS, and you can restore your iPad to the older OS.

I am getting a message in the middle of my imac screen instructing me to hold down the on-off button and turn off the computer. The message is in several languages and completely takes over the computer disabling the mouse and all other functions. The only option is to unplug the computer or turn it off. I'm concerned that this is a virus. It does not look like it's related to Apple or the imac OS.

That sounds like a kernel panic. These are generally hardware related, often caused by poorly seated or fauly RAM.

  • Different ways to turn off the Blackberry 8330

ok..maybe this is a silly question...I know how to turn off the blackberry on the main page but how do you turn the blackberry off from the second page like some people do....as in the page that shows yahoo, facebook, address book, etc.  and when it is turned back on it is on that page not the first.
    Thanks!

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
I don't know what a first page and second page is...
But, when the BlackBerry starts up, it will always return to the homescreen, not another 'page'.

  • In Safari 5.0.6 how do I turn off the auto save to contact list of addresses I send mail to?t

How do I turn off the auto saving to my contact list of every e-mail address I send a note to?

It might help knowing that Apple uses the term "Versions" instead of AutoSave. I have not yet found how to turn it off, but in the meantime, here's how to delete "Previous Versions":
    Do one of the following:
If you have unsaved changes in a document, choose File > Revert To, and then click Previous Save.
Hold the pointer to the right of the document title, click the downward-facing arrow, and then choose Browse All Versions from the pop-up menu.
Click a gray tick mark along the timeline on the right to display various versions of your document.
    Do one of the following:
To restore your document to the state of a particular version, display that version, and then click Restore.
To delete the displayed older version, hold the pointer to the right of its title, click the downward-facing arrow, and then choose Delete This Version. To delete all older versions, press the Option key while holding the pointer to the right of the older version’s title, click the arrow, and then choose Delete Old Versions.
To create a new untitled document that duplicates a particular version, display the version, press the Option key, and then click “Restore a Copy.”
To leave your document in its current state, click Done.

  • How do I turn-off the CSS rule dialog?

I would  like to know how to turn-off the CSS rule dialog.
I support a user who has been using DreamWeaver for years and was recently forced to upgrade to the new version. None of the hundreds of files in the site he maintains use CSS. While I recognize it is a "better" and "more efficient" way to do things --- IF you're a sofware engineer -- it is not even close to being worth the cost to revise the entire site and retrain this user.
So, how can i turn off, not just the pop-up, but how I can tell DW to just go ahead and do it the old-fashioned, embedded in the HTML way of doing things?
All the user wants to do is change the color of some keywords, css is overkill when that's all he's doing.
We'd go back to the previous version except the office was forced onto Vista and the older version won't run.

    ADDING  FONT  TAGS:
By David Powers from the help doc:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Using/WSc78c5058ca073340dcda9110b1f693f21-7ce ba.html
You won't see anywhere to enter such information in the HTML Property inspector. Dreamweaver CS4 does not support <font> tags, except in Code view. The W3C deprecated <font> tags ten years ago, so CS4 decided to get rid of them from the main user interface.
If you want to add styles to a short selection of text, you have two options:
    1. Create embedded styles in the <head> of the page.
    2. Create inline styles.
Both are done using the Property inspector in CSS mode (click the CSS button on the left). Select the text you want to style. How and where the style is created depends on what you select in the Targeted Rule field.
If you select <New CSS Rule>, you can then select the font, size, or colour in the Property inspector. As soon as you choose one of these, you will be prompted to choose a class name, and the location of the new style. To embed the style in the <head> of the page,  select "This document only".
The name of the class will appear in the Targeted Rule field, and you can add other values to it.
If you select <New Inline Style> in the Targeted Rule field, you can apply any of the properties in the Property inspector. This wraps your text selection with a <span> tag that contains the CSS properties as an inline style, e.g., <span style="font-family: 'Palatino Linotype', 'Book Antiqua', Palatino, serif; font-size: 24px;">Styled text</span>.
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Using/WSc78c5058ca073340dcda9110b1f693f21-7ce ba.html
Note:   If you select text in Code view, you can apply font tags by selecting Format > Font from the main menu. This works only in Code view; selecting Format > Font in Design view launches the New CSS Rule dialog box.
