Turn repeat off on iPod classic

I have just got a new car and it has an ipd connection. Since using it when I then play podcasts at home it plays the next one in sequence despite repeat being "off"!!!! although off the iPod says play current playlist once!
the other options are "one" repeat current song or "all "repeat current playlist.
it always used to play a podcast and then stop.
can anyone help please?
thanks in advance

If you talking about the EU volume restriction, there is not.  If you set a volume limit and do not know the passcode, your only option is to connect it to iTunes and restore it factory settings.

  • I've lost my music off my ipod classic. How do I restore it?

I've lost my music off my ipod classic. How do I go about restoring it, any ideas?

If the media is all in your computer's library use iTunes to restore the device. I was making the assumption that you hadn't since that is when people usually come for help.
Your qualifying iTunes purchases are available for download from iTunes in the Cloud. There is a subscription service called iTunes Match that can extend the ability to download on demand to your ripped music. iCloud is a cloud data service for iOS devices and Mac computers. You can't "save" your media to it.

  • HT1329 Can you transfer photos off the ipod classic?

Recently my hard drive in my MacBook Air crashed so I was wondering if I could transfer my photos that were originally placed on the Ipod Classic with a MacBook Air off of my Ipod Classic onto another Mac? If so how? Thanks

You can do that (in a useable form) only if you had a particular setting enabled when you synced the photos to the iPod.  To find this setting, select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, go to the Photos tab.  On that screen, there is a checkbox that says Include full-resolution photos.  IF that checkbox was checked when you synced the photos to the iPod, they are stored separately on the iPod as individual image files.  You just need to Enable disk use (on the iPod's Summary tab), and use Finder to open the iPod's "disk."  The image files are in a folder called Photos.
If that checkbox was not checked, the photos on iPod only exist in an optimized format to fit the small iPod screen and they are stored in a special "database" file (to save as much storage space as possible on iPod).  Therefore, they are not in a format that is directly usable, and they are low resolution, so even if they were extracted (using a third-party utility), they would look highly pixelated when enlarged to computer screen size.

  • IPod nano 6th generation. repeat is on, and I can't see a way to turn it off.

I have an iPod nano 6th generation. Shake to shuttle is turned on, though I can rarely get it to work. I can't find a repeat setting, but when I select shuffle, it always repeats. I can't find anything in the manual about how to turn repeat on or off. This behavior  started a few weeks ago.

I reset all settings, and that seemed to clear it. I had to turn some back on. I still can't find anywhere to turn repeat off or on.

  • Power Off iPod Classic

Is there any way to power off an iPod Classic or does it do it on it's own?

Usually if you leave it not playing anything for a couple of minutes, it will go to 'sleep' on its own. From my own experience, sleep mode is pretty much the same as power off mode. It consumes really little or almost no battery at all.

  • IPod classic will not reset nor will it restore

My 2nd iPod classic (30GB) will not reset after numerous attempts.
Also when I try to restore it to original settings, given a message that "The iPod cannot be restored because it contains files that are in use by another application".
I have Windows 7 Enterprise Edition and this has never happened before. The only thing out of the ordinary was that this iPod was not used for about 4-5 months which drained the battery as it wasn't recharged.
    Any assistance is appreciated.

Had this one myself ... while playing music there's a little loop icon on the left right below where it shows the current position in the song. Touch it once to turn repeat off.

  • HT1329 I have imported music files on my iPod Classic which I don't have on my old PC as it had less capacity than the iPod. I now have a new PC and want to transfer the music from the iPod to my new PC so that I have back ups. How can I do this?

How do I move music imported from my old CD collection onto my iPod, which I did not retain on my old PC as there was not enough memory. I no longer have all the CDs so cannot import them to my new PC, so want to copy them directly off my iPod Classic to my new PC.
    How do I do that?
    Thanks

You cannot do it (transfer song files from iPod to computer) using iTunes, except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store (and you can also re-download previous purchases using the iTunes Store Purchased screen).
However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can be used to transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
Once the song files are on your new computer's hard drive, drag them (or the folder containing the files) to the iTunes window to add them to your new computer's iTunes library.
