Turn voicemail indicator on

My Tour phone was formerly on Verizon and I would receive a text and see the voicemail icon when I had new voicemail.  My phone is now on Fido, and I only get a text message and don't see the icon.
Does anyone know how to turn the icon on when new messages are received?
Thanks.

    Hi Daddybot!
I apologize for the inconvenience, let's see what's causing the problem! When did the issue begin? Please clarify, you mentioned turning it on. Did you call into your voicemail and change the setting within your personal options?
Thanks,

  • Voicemail Indicator On but No Messages

Good morning...this issue is driving me batty .  Every time I turn the phone on, it indicates I have voicemail or "voicemail activity has been received" when in fact there are no voicemails.  I check call history and I get the voicemail message even when I haven't had any incoming calls.  Is there a setting to stop this?

The voicemail indicator usually stays on if you haven't listened to all voicemails all the way through, as well as the options after each one. Have you tried that?
If that doesn't work, try going to Settings -- Applications -- Manage Apps -- All -- Scroll all the way down to Voicemail, and select it, then select "Clear Cache"

  • Missing Voicemail Indicator

I have a Z10 I got from the launch event.  I'm using my T-Mobile US sim card.  When someone leaves me a voicemail I get a popup message but no other voicemail indicator anywhere on the device.
    Anyone else seeing this?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

So, I've solved this myself. After inserting my TMobile sim card I've rebooted several times and the hub entry for Voicemail hasn't shown up.
Since noticing it not working, I left a test voicemail. It gave me a popup message that I dismissed. Still nothing in the hub. I then removed the battery and rebooted and now the voicemail entry is in the hub and it seems to be working.
However, visual voice mail still wasn't working. If you had visual voice mail before you switched to the Z10 you will need to go into the Phone settings and set up visual voicemail.  If you didn't you'll need to contact your provider to make sure the feature is enabled, if available.
    Go to the Phone app.
Swipe down from the top and touch on settings.
Go toVoice Mail There should be a button for visual voice mail. It may ask you to call your voicemail to set it up. Tap on the "call" button at the top right corner. Once it answers and you hear that you have messages, simply hang up.
That should complete the setup for visual voice mail.
    Enjoy!

  • Unread voicemail indicator not working

Isn't the iPhone supposed to display unread voicemail recordings in the "unread red circle"?
BACKGROUND: Here, in Italy, our carriers (including Apple approved ones) do not use the special SMSs that turn voicemail indicators on and off. They send human-readable messages with the caller's number and time of call. This MUST be the reason of the problem I'm experiencing.
    Message was edited by: Ryccardo

I am using basic voicemail.  I access it by dialing *86 since the Verizon voicemail app still force closes (see other thread on the G3 board).
It finally went away, but then when I got a new voicemail from a missed call, it didn't reappear.  I called my voicemail on a hunch, and there was the message.  I went into user options and verified that notifications were on.
Hopefully this is a temporary thing that has been fixed by now.  Maybe I should call my phone from the house and leave a voicemail to test it.

Have you contacted your carrier? Voicemail is a carrier feature. If you're talking about Visual Voicemail, not all carriers support such.

  • SPA942 Experiencing difficulties with the Voicemail Indicator

I have 6 SPA942 VIoP communication devices all seem to work well but one; the voicemail indicator light stays continuously lit even when there are no voicemail.  I found a support site telling me to access the web-based setup page from the network option at the main menu.  This did not work for me because I could not figure out how to access the web based page from option 9.
Okay have you figured out that I am a bit clueless when it comes to IT... however I can make you some homemade fire roasted tomato soup and 4 cheese grilled sandwich that will knock your socks off.  Soooo. If you could help me I will give you a great recipe.

  • Voicemail indicator not showing VMs on phone

What do I need to do to re-enable the VM indicator on my phone. Appears to have stopped working recently so have missed voicemails. Phone is a Panasonic KX-TG6052 and worked when FIOS installed a month ago.

There appear to be various threads on this, some suggesting that it needs to be enabled by Verison support. Please can someone confirm.
Looking to get an FSK enabled phone to correctly show voicemail indicator (in addition to different dialtone)

  • Why is my voicemail indicator not working?

The red circle is no longer displayed when I have new voicemails.  Have tried turning cellular data off and on.  Typically I am in WIFI and don't use cellular data.

Could be as easy as soft reset. Hold power and home  key until screen  goes off then release

  • Turned voicemail password off but it keeps asking me for one!!

I've turned off my voicemail password 3 different times, but every time I go back into my voicemail after it STILL prompts me for a password.  What is going on!?  I really appreciate it!

Not sure how you are turning VM password off..  But if your phone is asking for a VM password, that means you have a voicemail.
To reset the password you would need to contact your phone carrier, once you get the PW enter it.  Then you can listen to your VM.

  • Config to Turn Off Indicator for Billing Plan in Header

    Hi,
anyone knows whether there is a config that is able to turn off (or default as blank) for the indicator for "billing plan in header" that is found in the item's billing plan? This is the indicator that cause the item billing plan dates to copy from header's billing plan.
I am trying to write a program that create sales order with billing plan using BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2. As this BAPI does not allow me to change the item billing plan dates, I am looking at using the stardard program SDFPLA02 after the BAPI is called. However, for the program to work, I need this "Billing Plan in Header" un-tick,
Or, is  BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 able to un-tick this indicator?
    Regards,
    Norman

    Hi,
In SPRO> Sales and Distribution> Billing> Billing Plan> Assign Billing Plan type to Sales Document type.
    Remove the assignment.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to turn off the voicemail?

Hi,  Can anyone please guide me how to turn the voice mail off. I tried 1760 / 1750 and all the numbers o2 customer servise agents asked me to....but none of them worked. I been speaking to O2 customer services from over a month now but apparently they have no solutions. Will you please help me to turn voicemail off from my iphone 4? Thank You So Much  M Khan

Hi Community Members This voicemail stoppage has really proved to be something that doesn't want to leave my phone, I found! Thanks for all the replies here because I think it is now turned off (yet to test it has well and truly gone so can't say for sure) Tonight I went into the TuGo app settings and found there's a voicemail off or on switch! (This is if you've got version 2.18.0  installed. Installed mine Jul 2015)  Mine was set to ON and now switched to off!

stutter dial tone (voicemail indicator) won't turn off even though there aren't any voicemail message in que!help!  this stutter dial tone slows me down during my busy workday!

  • How do I set up an indicator to display for only 1 second?

How do I set up an indicator to display for only 1 second?
I am reading keys from a serial device and I turn on an indicator that corresponds to the key pressed
on the serial device but how do I set this up so that it only stays lit (enabled) for a second or two?
The indicator is inside of a case statement and turns on OK but I do not want it to stay on for more than
a second or two. How do I modify this to display for only a second or two?
(P.S. I am running an old version 8.2 and can only see vis that are 8.2 or older.)
    thanks

Simplest way to turn the indicator off (false value) after a set time is to use a Sequence structure (flat or stacked).
    Frame 1, set to true,
Frame 2, Wait ms (wire millisecond value to wait)
    Frame 3, set to false.
This method, however, prevents the code outside the case structure from running during that wait time.
Something more elaborate will allow the external code to run.  What comes to mind is a shift register that holds the indicator name and the time stamp (in milliseconds) when it was turned on, in an array of clusters.  Each iteration of your loop will check this register to see if a certain time has passed (current time stamp minus turn on time).  If so, use a case structure to turn the indicator off and remove the elements from the shift register array (so you don't keep setting the indicator to false).  The array will let you control multiple indicators independently.
A problem with this option could arise from multiple readings.  Lets say you want to turn it off after 2 seconds, but you read the value again after 1 second (this means the indicator should be on for a total of 3).  The code would still turn it off after the 2 second mark.  Of course this really depends on the time intervals involved with your code.
