Turned icloud library on and off now photo's are missing?! iphone 5s
I turned off my icloud photo library and then turned it back on because the photos in my library were there but they were just white - no visible photo.
Now my videos are back but still same way with the pictures. Nothing has come back besides a couple..
What can I do to get my pictures back on?
Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start
with Option #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Last night my iphone screen all of a sudden was solid blue and now it is black. I tried turning it on and off. Still nothing appeared on the screen. I put it on the charger and this morning it is totally black. However, when I hit the on and off button, I did hear the text message signal go off. When I turned the volume on and off a big white bell flashed. In the last week, there were some other display problems such as the screen blowing up large. The only way to fix it was to turn off the phone and then turn it back on.
What does all of this mean? It seems like I've had these problems since the iphone 4 upgrade.just do reset, press home button and power butoon for a while untill you can see apple

I just installed last versión of iphoto and it erased my iPhoto events. Now i dont have iphoto library anymore and i only have my events in iPhone and in MobileMe gallery. How can i download and migrate events in MobileMe gallery to events in iPhoto ?
O also installed lion before and as i had filevault activated y lost my user information in timemachine. So, i have a useless backup. I only have events in iPhone ( due i didnt sync photos) and in MobileMe gallery, and i already migrate to iCloud. So?

Every time I try to open my iTunes app on my iphone 4 s it opens but then shuts down right away. I have already turned my phone on and off and did the reset thing by pushing the home and sleep button together and I hooked up my phone to my computers to update and none of these have worked. What works? Does anyone know? Thanks

I've got a similar problem. iTunes v10.2 worked fine, but when I tried to update it to 10.5 I got a 'Bonjour' error. I eventually solved that but I still couldn't upgrade to 10.5, so I deleted every single Apple, Quicktime, iTunes, etc file on my PC using Revo Unistaller (because the normal Windows Add/Delete programs wouldn't work) but now, when I install the latest iTunes version from scratch (on XP SP3), it says: "the installer encountered errors before it could be configured.... your system has not been modified"
Any ideas?

i updated to ios 5.1.1 and added icloud services. the problem is now whenever i connect my iphone to my PC, itunes does not recognize my phone. i need it to but it just does not connect..
Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

I updated my 4S phone to IOS 7.1.2 and lost my wi-fi. The wi-fi is on, but can't find ANY networks. I have been through all the steps, from turning the phone on and off, resetting the network settings, resetting the whole phone, redownloading 7.1.2 and lastly going to the Apple store for help. They tried all the exact same steps I did, took the phone apart and looked at and said it is in "pristine" condition. They have no idea why it isn't working, but they could offer to sell me another phone. This is extremely annoying! They claim it has nothing to do with the update to 7.1.2, but that is when I lost the wi-fi, so it has to be related!
My 4s i-phone which is 2 years old cannot find any wi-fi networks not even my home network... I had the same problem two months ago but i turned off the i-phone for 8 hours and then it was okay... Now it happened again.... I tried to restart the modem but whilst my laptop is connected regularly, my phone still cannot find any wi-fi networks... I restart the i-phone, i reset it, i chose reset network settings, reset all settings, i turned it off for a whole day in case it was overloaded, i turned on the airplane mode and turned it off again, i put it into the freezer for 10 minutes within a zipped bag but 3 days now and i still cannot be connected to my home wifi... I went to the technician today and he told me that it means that wi-fi is broken and that i need to change it with a charge of 70 euro but i have to give my phone for 10 working days so as to be fixed... I am so frustrated and i don't know if i want to give 70 euro for wifi since i don't know if it would make the same problems again...

Turning wireless card on and off
I just got my new laptop and am putting Arch on it of course. It has the Intel 3945 card which is pretty common so I thought I'd use the iwlwifi driver. I followed the Wiki and even perused a couple other laptop wiki entries with the same card to see how they did it but none of them have worked correctly. I think the reason is because the actual card isn't turned on. When I boot into Windows the little wifi light comes on indicating the card is active and I can connect to a wireless network then but when I boot into Arch the light is off. iwconfig wlan0 essid mynetwork and iwconfig wlan0 key ******** both run without error but I don't have an IP address.
The only problem is there's no key combination to turn the card on and off. It's a little button that you slide one way to turn on bluetooth and wireless and the other way to turn it off. The bluetooth light is on in Linux but not the wireless. It's driving me crazy because I can't seem to find anything in the manual about it and the card is set to be turned on by default in the BIOS. What else can I do?OK, I think I figured it out. I'm now using my wireless card to browse the Internet. I think what was happening was my wired interface (eth0) was conflicting with my wireless interface. Once I brought my wired connection down, I was able to connect with the wireless one.
Maybe someone can simplify the process for me now. I've disabled eth0 in rc.conf but in order to get the wireless up and running I have to bring up wlan0 with ifconfig, use iwconfig to configure the essid and key and then connect through wifi-radar (even though wifi-radar already contains the correct configuration). That means I can't just connect with wifi-radar after boot. I have to run those iwconfig and ifconfig commands first. I considered putting wlan0 as an interface in rc.conf but the Wiki entry I read said not to do that for the 3945 card. So is there any way to streamline this process?
And I guess Linux just doesn't send any power to the little light even though it does for the bluetooth one. That really doesn't boher me but it did throw me for a loop the first time around. -
i have recently installed icloud on my pc & have activated photo stream on my iphone. only a portion of the photos from my phone are now available on my pc. Why haven't they all transferred over?
When you turn on photo stream on a device that is the source of photos, only the photos you take in the future will sync to the stream, not the photos currently in the camera roll.
When you turn on photo stream on a device or computer that will receive photos from other devices, only the photos that have been on the servers for the past 30 days will sync, all older photos have been deleted from the servers.
To sync camera roll photos that weren't part of photo stream, you need to sync them manually using itunes. -
My iPhone 4S currently only downloads emails dated through 1/20/14 and today is 2/20/14. I deleted the email account and added it again, I reset my iPhone and I turned Airplane Mode on and off, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
Are you saying it's not getting any email from AFTER 1/20/14, or are you saying you're only seeing mail FROM 1/20/14 to now?

Is there a quick way to turn Cellular Data on and off?
I just sent this suggestion in to Apple:
I have limited data on my Iphone 4s, well 2gb and I try to use my wifi as much as possible while home especially. I don't know the technical term for it, but when you swipe up from the bottom of the phone and : wifi, airplane mode, bluetooth, do not disturb comes up to quickly turn those functions on and off wouldn't it make more sense to replace airplane mode with cellular data? That way we can quickly access and turn cellular data on and off instead of going through the settings, cellular data on/off. Just thought this would make our lives easier and hope you will consider it on your next update.
Does anyone know if I have the cellular data turned on, but the WIFI is being used first, if that still uses up my Cellular data? I think I know enough that if the "verizon" is in the upper left corner that the wifi is being used through my router but then if my 3G is displayed than I'm going through my cellular data. Sorry, I'm new to the Iphone scene so I'm still learning.
Ok, thanks in advance.Actually, all the display of Verizon on the phone shows is that you are connected to their network, it does not show that you are on wi-fi, or cellular data. If the wi-fi fan is displayed, then you are on wi-fi. If the phone is displaying 3G then you are using cellular data. If you are connected to wi-fi, the phone defaults to wi-fi and will use that instead of cellular data. However, if the phone is not actively utilizing data and the phone goes into sleep mode, then wi-fi is disconnected. It will connect immediately after being awoken.

Does anyone know of a way to turn the camera on and off remotely? I have a client that wants to mount a camera to the ceiling to photograph large rugs on the floor. We need a way to turn the camera on and off remotely and I am lookin for a solution.

Go to Solution.I have at least one Canon remote that I've used with my 7D's. Unfortunately, I don't have it with me, because today's shoot doesn't require it. So I can't give you the model number. (Models come and go anyway.) It has a shutter button that you can press halfway to activate auto-focussing, just like the button on the camera. But you do have to make sure that the camera has an IR sensor. On a Canon DSLR, look for it where the fingers of your right hand would cover it up; I think that's intentional, so that a spurious IR beam won't fire the shutter while you're taking hand-held shots. Also, check that the camera and the remote are compatible, e.g. that they agree on the frequencies of light that are to be used.

Is this happening with one particular network or with all? Make sure iOS is updated on the device.
Try this:
Reboot ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. Then try to connect to network.
Go to settings, Toggle airplane mode on/off. Make sure bluetooth is off. Turn on wif (airplane mode off). Try to connect.
Reset Network Settings
Go to settings/general/reset/reset network settings. Then try to connect to network.
If its your home router, then reboot router by unplugging for 5-10min. (do this while you're resetting network settings).
If problem persists, then check for firmware updates on your router.(you check router manufacturer support website for downloads and instructions). -

The following article has some useful tips that can help stabilize your iPhone.
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

sign in to itunes store will not disappear and the whole IPad will not let me go into other screens till this pop up goes away. I have entered the password several times and still will not disappear. Turned the IPad on and off but the pop up remain
FIrst try a soft reset by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
If that doesn't help then to make sure you have a strong internet connection.
Try resetting Network Settings
Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings,
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks.
Once logged back in and when the pop-up appears, try entering your password again.
