Turning a standard ibook g4 screen into a TV or DvD screen

hey,
I recently helped out in my schools computer lab replacing a latch and LCD monitor on an ibook G4. The old monitor was not broken. It just was warpped not allowing the laptop to close all the way. I was given the screen by my school and it is sitting at home on the work bench. I was wondering how (if possible) to use the screen as a stand alone standard LCD screen, allowing video input. Starting with the basics to convert it, then possibly set it up as a in car DVD player. Any ideas even if it means some electrical work?

sell it on ebay, you could get a couple hundred bucks or more from someone that needs it...

The screen on my iPhone has gone black while I was using it. It just "shut off". The phone is still working as I can hear/see it when it plugs into the computer, but the screen just wont turn on. I've tried the soft reset "holding down home and lock screen" and i've tried to restore settings. I went to the apple store and they said I had to send it to my provider (in another country) but my phone contract has run out.
Is there a way to fix this?
If not, is there some way apple can replace the phone? It's less than 2 years old. Surely the screen shouldn't just give out like that.

My screen sharing functionality did not show up in the dock with an updated icon. It had a question mark- shows my connections but nothing works, I did make sure screen sharing is on and also connected to VPN. Once I tried to launch screen sharing nothing happens. Such an elegant solution in Mavericks not does not work. Ugh. Help!

I believe the location of the "Screen Sharing" app has changed, which explains why if you had it in the dock it has been replaced by a ?
Don't forget you can launch screen sharing (once your VPN connection is up) by typing in the Safari destination slot vnc://remotemachinename:portnumber (omit the :port number if you are using the default VNC port, 5900). This should launch Screen Sharing and put its icon in the dock. You can drag the Screen Sharing icon to the left of your dock and it will hopefully remain there after you exit Screen Sharing, or you can right-click on the icon when it's running and select Options->Show in Finder to find out its new location and drag its icon to the permanent entries in your dock.

Sounds like the battery is shot and in need of a replacement. You can have Apple replace the battery for a flat fee or you can send it into a third party repair center for a bit less.
Not much else you can do for troubleshooting this one.

Restart your phone by holding the sleep/wake button and the home button until it starts back up.

No on the book title, no problem there.
The issue is: my book pages appear as on white paper, no background that resembles a open book and also no option to change fonts. The book was created in iBooks author, there was a problem going with the "Publish" menu route so I was instructed my Apple to "export" the file and submit that. I think that's the problem after reading that iBooks author is a hybrid epub file.

Sometims i dont feel like sliding my Nokia n95 8GB to reveal the number keys. I wish there was a way to have the number keys appear on the screen and then i use the joystick to select the number key or txt key i want to use. if anyone knows of a software that can turn my screen into a key-pad when i want it, please tell.

Should I include standard sap screen into my program?

I have a custom program, where I need to modify the values of material batch classification values (like in trans. msc2n).
What is the best way to do it?
I tried to copy the screen from standard sap function pool CHRG (screen 2300) to my own, but I failed.
It has few subscreens included (e.g. screen 5000 from pool CTMS), which use lot of data provided in the standard program and I am unable to follow all the logic included there to make it work in my program.

I have a custom transaction where I should modify some of the material batch characteristic values for some certain batches. I was trying to build my own UI and logic to perform this, but I can't find any FM's to change the characteristic values (I am using CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS to retrieve the values but have no idea how to change and store them).
That's why I thought of including some standard functionality in my program but as You said, screens alone won't help me much.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iBook G4 only goes to a black 'Darwin' screen when it boots up. How do I get it to boot up normally again?

Last night, my iBook G4 started showing odd glitches on the screen. When I restarted it, there was a file with a blinking question mark, so I consulted the manual and it said to shut down, hold 'Option' and turn on the computer, then click the hard disk icon and then the rightward arrow. When I did these things, it led me to a black screen where something called 'Darwin' asked me for my login and password. I managed to restart from the OSX install disc and repair the hard disk volume that way, but the black 'Darwin' screen shows up every time I turn the laptop on! What should I do to get it back to normal? My iBook G4 has OSX 4.11 installed, and I bought it refurbished in June 2005.

My iphone is failing to turn on when i plug it into a computer

so a couple of weeks ago i was at work and my iphone randomly went into the connect to itunes screen and i didnt know why but i turn my phone on and off and it was fine since then my iphone has slowly been dieing of batterie when i had tones of charge it started turning off at 10% then 15% then 20%, 40%, 50%, 80% 95% and now the only way i can have it on is if i have it constanly charging but then the other day it came on with the connect to itunes if i connect it to a charger it goes to the connect to itunes screen but if i try and connect it to a computer to do that its just goes to the loading screen for 5 seconds then turns off then turns on for 5 seconds ect. i left it there for a hour or so to see if i got lucky and it would turn on and it crashed my computer :S i NEED HELP i really need my phone for work can some one please help me fix it? im not very technical person so if some one can fix it i would be very greatful and also i dint really understand how to setup an appoint ment with the apple store if someone could explain that also

It is usually given as a communication error between Apple, iTunes (your computer), iPhone. Somewhere they are not communicating, so the iOS you are trying to install cannot be approved by Apple. Trouble shooting steps include, making sure you have Current iTunes installed, make sure your Hosts file of computer is not blocking Apple. Try restoring on another computer.

ISR goes to 100% after I plug a VGA screen into my RT desktop

Hi, has anyone seen this - my RT system is running smoothly until I plug a normal VGA screen into the RT desktop. Then the ISR CPU usage jumps to 100% (see attached image). This prevents any of my RT timed loops or other processes from running and the whole system is useless. This does not happen if the VGA screen is plugged in already when the RT system boots up.
Any help or comments will be appreciated.

Actually, we ran into something very similar on a platform we were evaluating - it turns out that the BIOS had specific video interrupts enabled and when the VGA was unplugged or plugged after the controller was up the interrupts fired. Those interrupts are not supposed to fire unless the OS registers an interrupt handler for them, but alas they were firing anyway. Since there was no handler, the RT OS is throwing the interrupt away, but the device keeps insisting it needs servicing - a loop that blows the system to hell. You need a new BIOS update that handles this correctly - when we ran into this problem, we were able to work with the BIOS developers to disable these interrupts; if this is an off-the-shelf system you probably don't have this kind of support from the vendor.
